Is it me or does Akalla have a really forlorn feel to it? It might just be that it was cloudy when I entrered the region but it's just... Idk.
Question about Ceremonial Trident Zora side quest What exactly are you supposed to do with the Trident at Veiled Falls? It says a poem or song or something but I'm not sure exactly what to do. Spoiler Do a jump attack to point the spear down into the glowing platform below. Don't do an attack from a paraglider, it won't work.
Spoiler Ahhh that was my issue, yeah. I was using the paraglider. Thanks!
Spoiler what? the paraglider was the only way i managed to figure it out. as soon as you swim up the waterfall you glide down to the platform and attack...

yeah, and they account for .08% each
which comes to about 72% of the game
so if u want 100% completion, fuck you
also, side quests, shrine quests, main missions and the hyrule compendium don't count towards your completion at all
what do you mean
completion is measured in the game? by korok seeds and shrines?
yeah, after you beat ganon a percentage meter shows up in the bottom left of your map it's measured by shrines, korok seeds, dungeon completions (divine beasts) and location discoveries unfortunately there's no list of all these things and which ones you have so i'm sure it's going to be lots of fun figring out which korok seeds you have and which you don't, which areas youve discorvered and which you haven't, etc.

also fyi turkey Spoiler if you beat ganon when youve collected all the memories you get a different ending Oh, that's good. More extensive, or just different dialog?
I did appreciate the added touch that Zelda kinda ridicules you for not showing up fully prepared though.
Spoiler she ridicules you before the beast ganon fight even if you've got all the memories... perhaps she's talking about the shrines as well when she says "full strength" or whatever
but yeah, after the credits there's another cutscene with them wanting to go to zora's domain and shit

watching my friend play through this game for the first time is so awesome. hes one of those guys that loves legend of zelda but has only played ocarina of time so its pretty neat to see his reactions to stuff. watching other pople experience games is sometimes more enjoyable than playing them yourself.
i'm gonna have my best bud play this as well, though he's never played a zelda game except for bits and pieces of LttP and WW when we were kids--he probably doesn't remember much
i told him it was like skyrim and it piqued his interest
he has a very candid way of expressing himself so i'm very excited to hear his impressions
sounds exactly like my friend it's really awesome actually because i remember experiencing this stuff the first time and seeing how his decision making differs from mine is kind of revealing. me and tblocks are going to do that for wind waker this summer, except ill be the guy who hasnt really experienced it.

Spoiler as for the boss fight i just felt it didn't really expect you to master any sort of technique or skill to beat him... i felt like i had to "cheese" him to win rather than properly parry or aim for a week spot. i also found rudania's puzzles to be rather uninspired and aimless so that doesn't help, especially in comparison to naboris and the elephant.
Oh, you're talking about Fireblight Ganon? I thought you were talking about Calamity Ganon's fight, which actually does require quite a bit of skill.
yeah i was talking about fireblight. ganon's fight wasnt much to write home about either. Spoiler i had been countering guardians and lynels by the time i got to him so it was pretty easy -- i actually felt like i was fighting the horse contrls during the second part of the fight more than anything else.

Who thinks this will be DLC?

As far as I know it's the only place you can't go to in game.
definite possibility

Finally doing the Gerudo stuff after hours of D&SQ.
I love how they all but confirm that Noble Pursuit is just straight-up alcohol. They don't even pretend it's milk anymore.
d&sq?
digressing and sidequesting
ahh, cool gerudo is my favourite part of the game, enjoy

goron power is fucking gay
Not sure if this is why you say that, but I definitely would have preferred the actions to be less passive, so that you could choose when to use them. Daruk's Protection and the charge attack ability activate whether I want to use it or not, often causing them to all be used up in the beginning of a big fight when I don't need them. You can turn them off in the inventory, but that just leads to more menu surfing.
I didn't really like the boss fight either, but what issues do you have with it?
oh, you can turn it off? that helps. yeah, you nailed my problems with the power.

Just saw Farosh again (spoilers).
Crossing the Bridge of Hylia Beautiful.
Also, posting screenshots on Wii U is, like, 10x more painful than it needs to be.
Seeing Farosh is such an... experience. The music swells up and youre presented with this majestic beast swimming through the air. it's particularly special when youre just minding your business, then you randomly hear the music and look around for him only to be startled that he's 15 feet behind you.

breath of the wild justified my Wii-U purchase entirely
other than that, i can't recommend anything in particular. the zelda games have been keeping me occupied for almost a month now, and will hopefully continue to do so.
seriously ive been playing minimum 4 hours a day (with weekends having me play 18+) of breath of the wild and i'm still not done the game yet... normally id be bored at this point but somehow i'm still hooked.
you can get a ton of classics on the virtual store, too

None of them are particularly good anymore (they've aged horribly), but the first two are praised almost universally.
Something to do with David Hayter's writing, maybe?

final fairy wants 10Gs to free her? lol fuck that
Gut Check bro
800 every 4 minutes (3min game + loading screen) = 10k in an hour.
still not worth my time. id rather just get good at the combat mechanics
What does gitting gud have to do with money?
the only reason id want to get the last fairy is to improve my defense, but if i just get better at the game and never get hit then my defense doesn't matter
