the Wii-U is obsolete, go with the Switch.
For real though, how did we get to a point as consumers where we label a game console with almost five years of solid exclusive games at a competitive price as 'obsolete' over a new console with almost no attractive games and a bumpy launch?
It's obsolete now that it no longer supports new games, though. And there weren't many games to buy a Wii-U for in the first place anyway.

On an honest scale of one to ten with Skyrim being the one and Witcher 3 being the 10, what number would this came fall on when it comes to depth? Also is the game's world entertaining enough where you can play for hours without resorting to quests for entertainment? For the Witcher 3 despite the depth to the game, I found the game's world to be very boring after 40 hours of riding around and killing shit.
I have thoughts of getting the Switch mainly for this game so I want to make sure I'm not going to stop playing once I complete the main quests. When it comes to open world games I spend the majority of my time running around it, rather than replaying the quests.
I've easily played over 80+ hours and didn't beat the final boss until around my 70th because I was so caught up in the exploration and side quests available. It feels like there's treasure around every corner in the game, which makes exploration feel rewarding. It is the best open world game I've ever played, period. Is it flawed? Yeah, but I don't think the game's low points are really worth talking about in comparison to what the game does right. The game has a way of working most of its problems out if you give it enough time. I would recommend you buying a console to play it, and since the Wii-U is obsolete, go with the Switch. That's a good investment anyway, I have a feeling the Switch is going to change the industry.

its so annoying
a flashback episode is when the majority of the run time is spent replaying things that have happened already

Destiny said some retarded things himself, and JonTron is the bigger man between him and Playtonic, but no they are no longer bound by Kickstarter as the project is now "funded".
It's in quotations because Playtonic will learn through chargebacks that they will be refunding people their money whether willingly or not.
God you're so transparently biased. Sure, Destiny said some stupid shit too... but that's not fucking relevant, is it? When the people put their money in, it was a kickstarter. It may not be now but it was then.

Can someone summarise the video for me? I'm at work and I want to know what the issue is... I was looking forward to getting Yooka-Laylee.
Two(?) years ago, JonTron did a bit of voicework for the game as a fun little cameo--but after his recent debate with Destiny, where he said some questionably borderline racist things, Playtonic decided to remove his voice from the game in condemnation. Jon was disappointed, but still expressed his best wishes for the game's launch on Twitter.
Some fans of the game are more upset about it than Jon is, though, and are demanding refunds--which they arguably have a right to, considering the game hasn't even been released yet--but Playtonic refuses. Drama ensues.
Oh, okay. Nothing for me to worry about as a consumer, then. I don't even know who JonTron is so this doesn't bother me at all. OT: Playtonic has every right to remove his voice from the game and decline refunds to disgruntled fans. You're not buying the game when you support its kickstarter, you're ensuring its creation, whether the final product is something you like or not. JonTron allegedly said some pretty stupid things in the debate so maybe he should be more careful before he talks about things he doesn't understand.

I still think the Labyrinth themes are the best in the game, though.
Oh yeah, that's a great one too. Only been to one labyrinth so far, though.
Some of the best parts of the game.

The horse-riding theme is pretty fucking GOAT imo.
Really? I find it kind of repititive and short. Maybe it's because I spend too much time on horseback, as I don't use the fast travel mechanic.

Re: music
I also dig the atmospheric stuff, but so much of the music is understated in the game. There's no soaring pieces except in the intro and the final boss fight and the castle. I started replaying TPP and there's just nothing that even comes close to stuff like this:
Rito Village?

I don't understand the "inverse difficulty" argument against the game (starts off hard and gets easier). Hasn't Legend of Zelda always been this way? The collection of hearts makes the combat far easier as time goes on in Ocarina of Time, and considering enemies both a) scale with you in this game, and b) can take off multiple hearts with a single swing (thus making heart collection less critical), I would say BoTW does it better than that game at the very least. There are plenty of legitimate criticisms of the game, I just don't really subscribe to this one.
Also, if someone would like to post something in response so I don't feel like I'm talking to myself sans TBlock's likes, that'd be stellar.

Also, what do you guys think about Nintendo making another "quick" LoZ game using BoTW as a foundation ala Majora's Mask? I'm wondering if the late-2017 DLC will scratch this itch but if done as well as MM, I don't have a problem with it at all. Especially if all my [minor] complaints about the game are addressed.

First update includes new map feature... what could that mean?
Korok seeds appear in full-zoom? Additional stamps (seriously, only 100? There are over 80 mini-bosses I want to label, cooking pots, and persons of interest but I can't because I'm so severely limited)? What do you guys think?

I'm putting aside 100$ a month (50$ every paycheque) to save up for the Switch. Hopefully I'll have enough before hard mode releases so I can 100% my game on the Seitch version. Does anyone know if the Season's Pass will transfer from the Wii-U to the Switch?
No idea but I wouldn't get your hopes up.
Yeah... that kind of sucks. Already bought the pass on Wii-U.

you can just quit, you don't need to give two weeks notice. i mean, you should, because that's the considerate thing to do, but you don't have to. unless your boss was a huge cunt.
disposable time is a lot worse too because you get bored and then end up spending money you don't have trying to entertain yourself. wish i had time for another job.
if its part of the contract youre legally obligated to give notice otherwise you breach the contract and they can sue for penalties
i doubt anything is going to happen though, it probably didnt pay much so there wasnt much in loss of business and it sounded like a temporary job
how many servers you know with a contract though

So I tamed a horse yesterday that looks indentical to Epona (solid brown fur, white hair). 4 Strength, 4 Speed, 5 Stamina, Wild Temperament. Pretty awesome. Named him "Morrissey".
Anyone else trying to get the Knight's Saddle?

Is it me or does Akalla have a really forlorn feel to it? It might just be that it was cloudy when I entrered the region but it's just... Idk.
Question about Ceremonial Trident Zora side quest What exactly are you supposed to do with the Trident at Veiled Falls? It says a poem or song or something but I'm not sure exactly what to do. Spoiler Do a jump attack to point the spear down into the glowing platform below. Don't do an attack from a paraglider, it won't work.
Spoiler Ahhh that was my issue, yeah. I was using the paraglider. Thanks!
Spoiler what? the paraglider was the only way i managed to figure it out. as soon as you swim up the waterfall you glide down to the platform and attack... If you attack straight from the paraglider you do a downward slash. You have to drop out of the paraglider and do a falling attack to point the spear downward.
i found it to be the exact opposite though
