That guide really underestimates how bad vegan food tastes like. Fruits aside all the other shit is unsalvageable without animal products. Yeah yeah morality and what not but that point really underestimates just how bad it all is.

Interesting read nonetheless but im not convinced most could live off of a vegan diet without a loss in health or monetary situation.

If you think all vegan food tastes bad you seriously need to develop your palate. there are objective standards to taste that vegan options clearly meet. asian cultures have fantastic food that never touches animal product.

it's also worth noting that "non-vegan" food tastes "better" generally because it's loaded with processed sugars and chemicals to trigger your brain into wanting more of it. cut these out of your diet and you will notice the drop-off in overall taste difference between healthy non-vegan and vegan diets is almost nonexistent (you will also notice higher brain function, more energy and lower stress but few here actually seem to care about their health and just want to wollow in self-pity.)
Im aware nothing on the store shelves is free of additives. Minced meat isnt supposed to be as red as it is for example and it does actually put me off a little.

Non seasoned meat is pretty tasteless but its still better due to texture. What little vegan food ive had has been powdery, tasteless, covered in another flavor entirely or soggy.  Thats not to say i havent had anything at all i dont like, peeled carrot with lemon extract is some gooooooooood shit but i cant tolerate vegetables much.

It might entirely just be me as im very sensitive to texture. Mushrooms make me throw up the instant i bite one. Id love to get a buffet of various vegan dishes from somewhere like China like you mentioned, countries that know what the fuck theyre doing with vegetables.

a lot of the issues with these feux-meat vegan options is that they have an uphill battle from the get go, as people will always compare them to the real thing

i prefer straight unapologetic vegan meals because they tend to taste better and be better for you

Is free-range farming a cow for milk / cheese okay?
nope, because that cow's milk is still not really for you to consume, and the cow itself still does not exist for you to exploit, even if you treat it as nicely as possible

i'd have to concede that it's much less shitty to do it that way (or at least, the idea of it is), but it's still highly unnecessary

how do you feel about free range chickens for eggs?

U4 is better than 2 and 3, but if you didn't like the others you won't like 4.

Glad you feel that way about them. I personally find them to be the most overrated video games of all time, and a symbol of ND's decline as a developer and the quintessential example of why this medium is falling apart.

Brazil will lose to Belgium.

Is this a joke

457
so, i just had a heated argument with a friend that has caused me to triple down on my total opposition to all video game DLC

effective right now, i'm making the moral decision to boycott all DLC (even free stuff), and this includes dark souls

simply put, i'm never paying for "extra" content that should already be on the disc, and i'm making no exceptions—that means i don't give a fuck if the content was developed after the game was released, and i don't even care if it's free, because if it's free, then there's no reason i should have to manually download it in the first place

don't even try to argue with me on this, because i'm not budging—i'm never buying another DLC package again, for any game

so, sorry if you were looking forward to that, but it's guaranteed not happening, at least in this playthrough

what happened

There's been some pretty convincing arguments made about how Drake planned to kill X because he told Pusha T about his child. Gotta be honest, it makes some sense, but I really don't think Drake would have it in him to do something like that.

Trent Reznor's relapse was the fault of him rekindling his relationship with Marilyn Manson, and in retaliation Reznor deleted the master files for much of Manson's early work.

Why are people using this as some thinly veiled excuse? You do realise there are plenty of people out there who tick all of XXXTesticle's criteria and don't do anything even remotely close to what he did?

wow it's almost as if people have different psyche's that force them to act different even in similar situations

and again i'm not excusing his behaviour

You can make all these excuses for him - he was of sound mind,

i mean that's demonstrably not true

Quote
had tons more advantages than most people, and still did that bullshit.

- was black american
- poor
- from florida
- severe mental illness
- no father, incapable mother (she was sick afaik)

and everything except the gay thing are all allegations, which again if you go back to the lena dunham thread you'll see you actually agree with me
lmao dude he was famous and rich
Winona Ryder was famous and rich yet she stole that jacket.
the reason she stole it was because of her depression

did X beat up random people and his pregnant girlfriend because of his depression lmao

it was because of some other mental illness though

people don't just beat up random people for no reason unless there's something wrong with them

Lena Dunham never abused her sister lmao, they were both CHILDREN, and were both experimenting sexually.

She definitely abused her little sister. No doubt about that.

And X was a kid when he did all this shit, too. He's STILL was a fucking kid when they shot him. A dumb, emotionally unstable and troubled kid. Easy to look down on someone's actions when you've literally every advantage in comparison.

Quote
And nah, I never even heard of this dude until today. I don't care about his music, I care about the picture ember posted, and that no one disputed any of those things that happened.

I'm not talking about you, or anyone else on this site. I'm talking generally about all the shit he's getting on Twitter.

Quote
I'll dance on a monster's grave any day, when Hitler died people were morally justified to celebrate and this is no different.

Hitler didn't regret what he did, and he was a sound-minded adult.

X was a kid and knew he was a piece of shit, was trying to make changes in his life. he had every disadvantage and illness against him. that doesn't absolve him, but it should inform you to have a bit more nuanced a reaction than celebration.

yes you are

if you read what ember posted and arent instantly filled with hate and rage against this despicable "person" then you may as well be defending him

i'm still not defending him you stupid sack of shit

i'm saying that celebrating is a gross reaction to the death of a severly troubled 20 year old kid

especially since most of these people hate him for the kind of music he produced and then tack on the "he's a bad person" thing after the fact to look like they're something more than fuckheads themselves

you can understand, acknowledge and codemn someone for doing fucked up shit and still not dance on their grave

you let that fucked up comedian who abused her sister off the hook for similar reasons

Really fucked up some of yall out there celebrating the death of a 20 year old kid, as if you never did stupid shit when you were young. Mad respect for the guy's artistry, he was super fucking raw and his music was hugely reflective of today's youth.

yeah let's just chalk this up as stupid shit the average person does as a teenager

he was a product of the environment he grew up in. comparing the average teenager to people who grow up in that situation is a pretty ridiculous thing to do. not everyone has your priveleged life.

and yeah, some normal people do fucked up shit all the time. my little brother used to threaten me with a carving knife, but you'd never know that looking at him now. he was lashing out because he didn't have control over a situation and had no idea what to do to regain it.
the fact youre defending this (thankfully dead) monster AT ALL proves you have no values and should probably die too

try reading

i'm not defending him

i dont care so much if you make a joke or feel indifferent, but on twitter right now there's a large portion of rap fans who are straight up celebrating his death simply because his music was meme'd and looked down upon like it was the quintessential example of the problem with modern rap.

i was never really celebrating his death, more like i just dont have much sympathy

that's more or less what i'm asking for, really

i'm not trying to defend him (i only speak for myself i don't necessarily share the opinion of my """teammates""" in this thread) but i think being happy that he's dead is a really gross reaction to have.

Nah, just like everybody knows you're a pathetic fatass, everyone will know X for years

I think Jono is speaking from experience. That's how long it took for him to forget what a regular sized t-shirt looks like.
