He is a complete bumbling retard, but at least he knows how to swim through Capital Hill bullshit and we can squeeze some decent Palpatine memes out of him.

Can we please wait till July 1st to Impeach him though? Can't we can the Char clone on the 2nd of July?

what has led you to believe that mike pence is anything but a complete retard

I think when we elected Trump we should have realised that we need to stop choosing our presidents based on how memeable they are.
What do you mean by "we", you live in Canada so you weren't able to vote for him.

"We", as in, westerners.

Not complicated.

Brits would have voted for The Don, too.

Just a heads up, if the popular vote in the US was what determined who became president he wouldn't be president right now as Hillary received 2 million more votes than Donny. I also think that Brits and Canadians have better conservative options in their own countries and I have a hard time believing the rest of western Europe would have voted for him too. Especially seeing as how trump style candidates lost in the recent elections there.

fair enough, but i stand by my "we" point

I'm finally sitting down to watch the Super dub. This should be interesting.

I enjoyed it, but once you get to, like, episode 14 or so, you should watch the movie Battle of Gods and compare.
Alright, I might do that.

Also, wasn't Super Saiyan Goku a lot more buff when he fought Frieza than he is now, or am I remembering that wrong?

Yeah, he was. But Super animators (Toyotaro, and even Toriyama) have, for some reason, been drawing their characters more and more slim in recent years. I don't mind the slimness in God form but I miss the buff dudes of old.

BROLYTARD DETECTED

REEEE

I thought Broly was dope as a kid, man. Probably because of the metal-ass soundtrack they gave his movies.

Basically we need to get Toei to invest more in the animation or give the rights to someone else... Resurrection F made 10 times its budget, there's no excuse here.
the animation hasn't been bad since the latest arc started, aside from a few brief in between shots here and there

all the fights have looked great

I'm using a different standard than you.

Anything less than what I saw in Dragon Ball Z isn't good enough to me. Yamamuro should be animating far more than he is.

All the characters look lanky and characteristically un-Dragon Ball, to me. The fight scenes have been choreographed decently, but we're still a ways away from where I think we should be. Saiyan Beyond God Goku vs. Frieza (Resurrection F) is the standard we should be meeting every time (minus the garbage CGI, but I don't remember if they used that before Blue/Golden showed up).

I get that the good animators are more expensive but when you look at how Super's reputation was tarnished early on by how bad the animation was, and look at the profit margins of anything Dragon Ball related, there's no excuse NOT to invest in more skilled animators.

Yes, I would agree Super looks good now, but only in comparison to what it started as.

Don't tell me it doesn't look off. They look like Rick and Morty characters.
dude the random still shots in Z looked worse than that all the time

Okay, great. That has nothing to do with the standard we should be meeting. Those shots didn't meet the standard, either.

Dragon Ball is more a cash cow now than it ever has been, and there's no reason we shouldn't have consistently good animation across the board. Like Dragon Ball Z at its best.

You guys are just so willing to let Toei abuse your interests. I don't understand it at all. When you give capitalist money sharks like Toei or Konami an inch, they take a fucking mile. Every time.
super currently looks good the vast majority of the time. no show looks good 100% of the time. idk what more you want. especially when this is a weekly series, the animation is just never gonna be perfect unless they started doing season breaks.

Then they should start doing seasonal breaks. That would also allow the manga to catch up.

It really doesn't ever look good. Even the best scenes are inferior to what we saw in the movies/DBZ.

Exactly.

Honestly the worst thing Super did when retelling the two movies was bring Goku and Beerus's strength up to universal... it's just too big a power boost, and most of my scaling issues now stem from that.

the manga didn't do that so just chalk it up to another toei thing

Unfortunately Super is different from Z in that the manga doesn't tell the canon story. We really don't know which story we're supposed to accept, and the manga has its own problems, too.

it can be assumed that the manga is closer to toriyamas vision since toriyama is actually overseeing it unlike the anime where he sends off a rough draft and then doesn't even know what they're doing with it until the stuff is actually out half the time.

Yeah I know, but it's not as cut-and-dry as it used to be.

And like I said, the manga just trades problems with the anime. Stories progress far more organically in the anime, and things like Blue Kaioken and the majority of the Goku Black arc are superior in the show.

I'm really into power scaling and unfortunately, the anime version of the characters are stronger, so by default we are always going to use the anime as a basis for power in the future. A lot of my frustration comes from that.

yep, toei is really fucking toyotaro in the ass with this deal by only letting him release one chapter a month. if he were allowed to make it a weekly thing the manga would probably flow a lot better. i'm almost convinced that toei is making super inferior to Z on purpose so they can justify a Super Kai later on down the road and double dip on this thing.

Any chance Toei changes its stance on Dragon Ball or releases the rights to televise it any time soon?

I like how the only notable thing about Goten is that he fuses with Trunks. His entire existence revolves around somebody more important and interesting than him.

I like how your last 6 or so posts in this thread are passive-aggressive commets complaining about Dragon Ball and attempt to make your taste in anime seem more cultured and refined or whatever.

Gaming / Re: Headset recommendations
« on: May 15, 2017, 12:15:10 PM »
Seriously, if you want good quality then don't buy a gaming headset.

I just want something to play games with. I'm not bothered about having a million different features. I'm not using it for professional audio production or anything.

Also, what are the things you mentioned before?
Stay away from Turtle Beaches and Tritton. Go for Astro if you want something high-quality. I have the A50's but I'd suggest the A40's if you don't mind the wires. I tend to play far away from my TV so the wireless is nice, but the battery isn't quite as long as I'd like so it ends up having to be wired anyway.

Another good thing about Astro is that they have an excellent customer service program, with lots of helpful threads on their forums.

As I said above, I'm only looking for a basic headset with decent enough quality - thanks for the recommendation though.

Look at aome of Astro's more affordable options. You'll get all the other benefits I listed.

Although if you're on Xbox maybe look into something first party. My A50's still need the one wire to plug into my controller but if MS came out with something you could probably avoid that.
