I've never played a game that made me feel that way. I know you're talking about Metal Gear, but even then, it's hard for me to imagine caring that much. Gameplay is so much more important to me than anything else.

I welcome departures with open arms, as long as they end up being good. If they end up being bad, then it's a bad game—case closed. But Zelda II was a huge departure from the first game, yet I still consider it not only a great game, but a great Zelda game. I don't divorce games from their franchises just because they're radically different. I only divorce games from their franchises if they end up sucking complete ass, like Metroid: Other M.
yeah, your last sentence was my "rebuttal". i get where youre coming from but i feel like at least some of the time, a publisher will slap a franchise on the game just to help it sell, even though its not what the series is known for. rising revengeance is the best example i can provide.

Who else do you like, hip hop-wise?
ive been completely deaf to the genre so i dont know too many of the players
ive always like dre (respected him i guess cuz he doesnt really make much of his own stuff) eminem, logic (early stuff), and immortal technique off the top of my head
If you like dre, DJ Quik might be worth a listen. Apparently he was as important as Dr Dre in what would be the marrying of hip hop and R&B in the 90s, but doesn't get nearly as much credit for it.
Bear in mind the album this song is from came out in 1991, almost 2 full years before Dre's The Chronic.
He produces his own songs as well as being the mc. His voice reminds a little bit of Eazy-E but he's a much better rapper.

i know it was meant as an april fools joke but i feel like he actually wanted to work together at some point

You can try it for free until you reach level 30 actually, so set up an account and get a good feel of the game. See how you like it. It performs just as well both gameplay and control wise on controller than it does on PC. In fact I played on PS4 first and then jumped to PC, but still use my controller. Devs really care about both.
