I didn't read the whole thing, and I'm definitely no literature connisseur, but I feel like you over-describe things a bit. "A sun full of promise." Also, some things are just awkward, like "The last of the nightly families of the forest". Keep it short and sweet. Save your imagery for the important stuff. Don't try so hard to tell the story, let it come naturally.

That's all I got.
also I thought a sun full of promise was a pretty solid line. I'm trying to say ENGLAND, 1391 without actually saying it. "Full of promise" implies in a joyful tone that there are events that are bound to happen in time.

i can appreciate that sentiment, i just think there's a better way to establish that.

Game doesn't look very difficult imo

its not, its just frustrating that its less functional than it was 20 years ago
Iv'e heard that the biggest problem are the hitboxes, what else is there?

responsiveness and sluggishness are my main problems

its really heartbreaking to see a nice guy like you put yourself on a limb and try to make friends, just playing some good ol halo 3, only to be berated with racials slurs and other insults. its the good people that get trampled on in this world.

The problem here is you don't run off the assumption that if a girl is cute, she already has a boyfriend. This is true in like 90% of all cases.

not necessarily, there were quite a few qts yesterday but they were kind of vapid

At least Meleefags stick by their word and actually play their shitty game.
Yeah it begs the question of why do people move on from older versions of (insert game here) they love when Melee is nearly in the most alive state it's ever been. Hell, even Smash 64's tourneys still get hella attendance.

Halo CE is mostly beanerville and the good competitive stuff is mostly underground. 2 and 3 are in similar boats now which really sucks. I'd love to play them in a competitive or casual setting but fucking nobody (Mexicans aren't people except Jono) plays them and there isn't a single tournament in Australia that I could find, let alone online. Yet Melee is just as old as Halo CE and:
-It's still featured at EVO
-There are multiple majors a year and so many monthlies and local weeklies it may as well be a sport with how much support it gets
-There are plenty of TO's for it
-strong af grassroots scene

All mostly because of a documentary that was a glorified "hey guys, remember the good old days? Let's relive them for this game" that people actually listened to.

It's a shame it can't happen for the Halos. I've been dying to play Halo 1.5, some custom CE maps, 2 and 3 for ages with some people.

That reminds me I should ask boom for a 1v1 on unplayably laggy halo 3

that's because melee is actually good

For what good reason is a precision platformer, especially now with the change to Crash's collision, running at 30 FPS

muh resolution

i wish people would stop giving a fuck about that.

I think he means people are probably not bothered by it as much as I am.

But that's because I am not most people, and I need to go for death routes and stuff that required a perfect run of a level before opening up. The game doesn't allow you to restart the level. If you die, you have to quit, sit through a loading screen, go back to the warp room, go back into the warp gate, sit through another loading screen, and start again.

i'm sure plenty of people like the new music and don't give a shit about the loading times or whatever

My main complaint is how poorly Crash handles. Which is pretty much universally agreed upon.

What they did was use the Crash 3 engine to remake all the other games, but Crash 2 and especially 1 were far more platforming-based, and their engines gave the player the "benefit of the doubt." If they were close to a crate, the game just assumed they had correctly jumped onto it. Crash 3 had many more vehicle and gimmick levels so they needed to use a more sensitive engine. 3D platformers requiring extremely accurate button jumps just don't work, but like I said, the Crash 3 engine is built to be very sensitive.

Xbox One has an improved d-pad compared to its 360 counterpart, its good to know that Prehistoric agrees the PC version is going to be the surperior version only for the fact that you'll be able to use the Wii U Pro Controller that makes the PS4's D-Pad seem like dogshit

An improvement over the dogshit 360 controller doesn't say much, because it's still worse than every iteration of the Playstation D-pad.

The PC versiom will likely be better, yeah. The Wii-U Pro's D-pad is equal to the Dualshock 4, but it's a superior controller overall.
Knowing the Xbox crowd, I'm pretty sure they'll be playing the game with the analog than with the D-Pad

I pity them. It wouldn't really be a problem if the game wasn't so damn clumsy.
