yeah, and i've also seen people say you can make a pc for the same price as a console and it'll be more powerful

haven't seen any of those kicking around, either
I could find you my original build like I just said, but keep in mind that PC parts prices fluctuate all the time. So what it cost then might not be the same now.

i'm sure you could find equivalent specs somewhere for nearly the same price

that being said, the longer i wait, theoretically, the lower the prices go.
Not necessarily. I'll link you my build in a sec. Only difference is I upgraded my CPU from the i3 to an i5, and am about to upgrade my graphics card. That being said, I can still run everything fine, just not ultra on EVERYTHING. But what I can run is still more powerful than what consoles will offer you.

see this is the thing

i just don't care about my settings. i'll play a game in 480p at 30fps, i don't give a shit.

so when you say "it's good but can't run on Ultra" all i hear is "overkill"

this is something pc players have a hard time understanding
I say it because I'm giving you a decent bar on performance at what it can do. And no, you would not play it at 480p, I can tell you that right now. Especially on a monitor which is always more clear than a TV.

And as for FPS, much to Verbs triggering, idk if you've played it yet but high frames will be something you care about down the line, and more importantly, the stability of those frames. I'm not gonna make you spend your hard earned money on a piece of shit, so I'm trying to give you a decent understanding on what it can do. That's all.

i play my ps4 on a crt

tell me i wouldn't play in 480p

also btw

just bought myself a capture card and it'll come in the next couple of weeks, so when it does, i'll be recording live gameplay sessions of klonoa 2. i would stream it but that seems like a lot of work, so i don't really want to.
radical

streaming IS a lot of work, though, yeah

i used to stream games for charity a few years ago with a couple friends, and it was pretty tough, despite having the time of my life

that's cool

yeah i really appreciate that the next gen consoles all have some sort of streaming built into them. that makes things a lot easier.

"PC is more affordable"
"you get more bang for your buck, you dont need to spend thousands of dollars on a good rig!"

yet when I ask them to make me a rig thats more affordable no one speaks up
usually when people say that, they're talking about long-term

games on steam are cheaper and you technically don't have to buy the next generation of consoles every few years

still misleading

yeah, and i've also seen people say you can make a pc for the same price as a console and it'll be more powerful

i have 400 bucks to spend give or take like 50 but the exchange rate means 200 USD will be roughly 400 so i'm trying to lowball

That's a really low budget. What peripherals do you already have?

A single monitor. That's all I need.

I'm not looking to play modern games at any reasonable level. Most of the games I'll be playing will be a couple years older at best and I don't care if I play them in low HD or SD. If I have to I'll buy games on console, I don't really care. I just want something half decent that I can play some games with.

Can anyone help me out?

Ayyy I got your champion right here

your avatar bothers me
Why?

because the final block that goes down in the gif removes 5 lines rather than the 4 its supposed to. very unrealistic, very bad.
Hoy fuck, you're right

thank me later
How about THIS

better
