The Flood / Re: As a massive DC shill, I can safely say....« on: July 20, 2017, 12:46:30 AM »I was expecting it to be like Avengers 2 where nothing felt really serious and jokes were shoved in almost every five minutes. But it wasn't. It had plenty of funny moments but they managed to balance it well with the tense moments. Even with peter's personality in this series he doesn't go overboard with the witty remarks in "crisis" situations.Homecoming was a solid 7 for me. Wasn't a fan of Michael Keaton's character or the love interest. Tom Holland was just okay, not great. Lacked the introspection and internal conflict Spider-man should have. I don't know. He just didn't feel like Peter Parker to me. We still haven't got our definitive Spider-man yet, although I felt Garfield's comedic timing in the suit was the closest we've been yet. 3312

Gaming / Re: Street Fighter players and Melee players playing Jenga« on: July 20, 2017, 12:09:32 AM »Fake. If that was a real melee player they'd refuse to play after a few bricks get replaced, complaining that this wasn't real Jenga and that the original tower was so much better.is this something that melee players do Melee is better, though. 3317

Gaming / Re: It's impossible to build an affordable PC. - Update: Ordered, part list in OP.« on: July 19, 2017, 07:58:26 PM »Looking at it as machine only for playing games and browsing the internet, it will probably get the job done for the next three years, and with what prehistoric wants to use it for in mind, I retract my statement.god bless you, fleeJust giving my 2c. Solonoid probably knows more about hardware in general than I do, but it seems that his PC has a different purpose than what you had in mind and doesn't offer twice the performance for the same price (especially for gaming it'll probably perform even worse). He's right in saying that there could've been some skimming here and there (mainly by going all AMD instead of Intel + Nvidia, which are usually seen as more reliable and high quality but more expensive), but I think you have a solid build picked out for what you want it do. It's a reasonable price and nothing is stopping you from investing in an i5 and another 8gb of DDR4 down the line for a build that I would consider downright good. youre kind of a fucking asshole btw 3321

Gaming / Re: It's impossible to build an affordable PC. - Update: Ordered, part list in OP.« on: July 19, 2017, 06:50:40 PM »Very similar build sporting DDR3, a slight downstep with monetary advantages (especially in this performance range) one more full sized PCIe slot, and an 8-core CPU that I recently installed in a friend's PC (he likes it a lot, it's better than the Core i5 Black I swear by), and a Radeon RX 460 4GB I found priced at 120 CAD (no price population on pcpartpicker since Radeon is flying off the shelves) also this GPU doesn't meet the req. specs for pubg 3324

Gaming / Re: It's impossible to build an affordable PC. - Update: Ordered, part list in OP.« on: July 19, 2017, 06:42:13 PM »my only thing is that i'd really only spend the money for a gaming pc if you actually want to play a bunch of games and plan to use it a lot. if it's just for one game and you're not going to use it for anything else i'd say you just wasted your money. Well now that i have the option to play on PC, why would I not? The way I justified it was that I've spent years on the POS spreadsheet machine to the point where I've put off buying a new computer for so long, and I've saved my money that way. It was due time for an upgrade. There are several games I want to play on PC strictly for mod support and stuff like that, too. 3326

I just don't believe that Sol could make a rig for the same price with double the power. He could probably do that for 800 bucks American.
