Gaming / Re: I just pre-ordered Destiny 2. Here's why.
« on: July 21, 2017, 09:15:44 PM »
Why not wait a few years and then get (I wish it was a joke...) The Complete Edition?

Because the DLCs are meant to be played on release, and going back to play, say, The Dark Below post-TTK is actually a pretty difficult thing to enjoy (on top of the fact that it's inherently unenjoyable because it's Destiny) because you're basically rushing through the expansions to catch up. On top of that, all those artifical grind playwalls are still present, such as getting the Necromancer requiring like 150 Sword of Crota kills or something to that affect and a unique drop from the Crota raid, which no one plays because it was the worst one. And those unique SoC enemies no longer spawn in the open world, so you're required to grind that one specific mission... over and over again.

The best way to play Destiny is to jump on board as soon as possible, which is part of the problem, imo.

And Verbatim, who goes around unironically saying aloud constantly how much better he is than everyone else, is more worthy of your emulation?

What?

Cool how you've started getting more annoyed by me during my hiatus though.
I tend to get mad at things that aren't there too.

Like my father!

Actually, I realised it awhile back, but what pushed me over the edge was your entire presence in my PC build thread. You accomplished nothing except making yourself look like an ass and giving me, an admittedly inexperienced PC builder, a small heart attack in the process. You're the king of looking smart, but under further scrutiny, you're full of shit.

but honestly, call me a fanboy, but the franchise (when taken as a whole) is technically flawless

holy shit i'd never thought of that
I need this explained to me because I'm a simpleton.

i'll explain it later

Dude, I wasn't trying to one up you or be hostile by mentioning a person that beats your time wasted on destiny score, I figured you would know who he was and be interested in hearing that he's wasted even more of his life, since you both posted on b.net at the same time.

You're taking everything so personally today.

actually i've just started to like you less amd less. i'm not taking anything personally, you're just annoying.

Just like how I'm not entertained by Tetris (something meant to entertain me) so you let loose oceans of salt.

i'm not even remotely salty. lots of people i like dont like tetris.

like i said i just think your need to seem better than people is fucking annoying and i've only recently started to notice it.

you don't add deleted hours. it's already counted in the character breakdown.

ah, i see. nevermind then

Most people here put years into b.net and know a bunch of people who posted there before we started this site.

But yeah, let's keep the three year ruse that this isn't a Bungie offsite and we're not part of their community going.

that's not the point, he isn't a user here and it was obvious to everyone except yourself that i'm talking about the people on our forum.

how about you go 24 fucking hours without trying -- and failing -- to one-up someone to appease your deep-rooted self-esteem issues?

3279
video games aren't entertainment

legend of zelda is perfect on a conceptual level in the same way as tetris. this is life changing.
Tetris isn't perfect either.

name a single flaw.
If a game isn't universally appealing to everyone, it isn't perfect.
I have always found Tetris boring.

Verb, consider this your answer too.

i'm not even going to bother with why this is the most batshit fucking retarded thing i've ever read in my life

Decently well known guy from the pre-sep7agon era.

We stil play Xbox sometimes.

i can't say with 100% certainty i won't buy it, but i'm not planning on it.
well, let me know if you do or don't so i can know whether to make up for it 👌

just go ahead and buy it. even if i buy the game, there's no real loss here -- bungie just gets more of our money, which is only a good thing!

For real though, who pre order's a game so they can play a demo.
at least you can preorder, get the code and cancel immediately
most retails have you commit to purchasing the game if you want a beta code
Gamestop prints the code on your receipt, you could turn around and immediately cancel the preorder if you wanted to and there would be nothing they could do about it.

damn thats hot

The Flood / Re: Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington dead by suicide
« on: July 21, 2017, 01:28:43 AM »
I have a hybrid theory on why Chester killed himself just minutes from midnight. A new divide was formed when his long time friend, Chris Cornell, committed suicide. Instead of growing numb to the pain it brought him one step closer and in the end it was the catalyst for his final masquerade.

I know it may feel like a light that never comes but I think he would want us to feel no more sorrow but until it's gone I'm sure we'll feel guilty all the same.

Can someone please appreciate this thoughtful post.

there's nothing to appreciate here you vaccuous degenerate fuck.
