No, I started to like NIN after PHM. The Fragile was the first NIN record I listened to, and it was right after the instrumental version was uploaded to YouTube. You actually made a thread about it, I don't know if you remember.
Anyways, after listening to that, I bought the regular version on CD. I thought it was cool but it didn't grip me like PHM did. Obviously my taste has evolved a bit since then, but yeah.

i think if i were to make my own chart, i'd have two or three starting points—PHM, TDS, and something else
Yeah, that's a bit weird. PHM is unlike the rest of his stuff, it's much more commercial. I don't see any similarities between it and The Fragile. Anyways, I'd probably go with With Teeth as my starting point.

You're misunderstanding what I'm saying. I'm not saying I'm an INFJ, I'm saying I happen to be an intuitive/introverted/feeling/judgmental person. I'm not talking about the test at all.
And that is based on the test. These personality traits are based on the test and you may be this, but you also have other characteristics that contrast these personalities. Remember these labels are million dollar money making scheme for the people involved. Studies have proven your personality is not related to this.
Just like how the term millennials was a money making scheme for a company who coined the term and now sell their services to everyone. Reality is you may be introverted but you also have extrovert personalities. And the percentage scale is lines which does not truly represent people.
It is like trying to figure out someone political beliefs, linear system of conservative and liberal does not work and neither does a grid, not even a globe. Same way you way more complicated than four letters.

Not true, it is actually a meaningless test. I mean you could get a better result of your personality by using Astrology and saying this is your character traits based on your start sign.
I don't think astrology is meaningless, either. I don't believe that where the stars were placed on the date of your birth has anything to do with your personality, but the way our society grooms our children's timetables (the new year being in January, school starting in September, grouping kids together based on age, etc.) has a lot more to do with it. Call it confirmation bias, I don't care.
That being said these things are more for fun than anything else. I'm technically an ares, but you wouldn't know it from talking with me. Same with the Briggs test.
Which I say it is fun, but never call yourself that as it just creates a bias in which you start making decisions based on those made up personality, when in reality people are more complicated. People can be introverted with extrovert qualtities and vice versa. But as people always end up wanting to shoe hole themselves into.these boxes I prefer if people just ignore them.
I can't see any reason to do that. These tests aren't helping you fit into a specific mold, they're just what you are. I am introverted, intuintive, feeling and judgmental.
