Something about a gasket being out. Whenever I would start my car, the RPM would jump a bit before settling and I could smell gasoline for a few seconds. I also needed new front tires. And $200 was just on diagnostics.
I can't afford anything more but they also told me my brakes are down to 2mm and my front tires aren't aligned so that's even more repairs in the near future.
What happened to your car?
You would have needed to get an allignment anyway if you're putting new tires on it. Why is the car in such a sorry state?

I remember years ago I was getting a ride back from class from my dad and a random girl asked if she could use my phone so she could call her parents. I gave her my phone, she called, handed it back, and left pretty quickly, I didn't think anything of it.
It wasn't until a few hours later that I remembered I had a picture of Shiina from Sakurasou naked as my home wallpaper because I just finished the show.

MGS4 had the best gameplay if you ask me. Not in execution, but in potential, at least. Snake moves how you'd expect him to on next-gen after playing the first 3 games.
That being said I wish I could play with mouse and keyboard.

I didn't experience that at all. A restaurant I went to a bunch of times when I was staying in Florence the owner recommended me pizza (among other things obviously). It's like saying Italians don't eat lasagna. Pizza isn't some American thing. In Uruguay they make it square and pile mozzarella on top, because of Italian immigration to that part of the world. Argentina too.

my experience. florence is a popular destination spot and unless you speak flawless italian he probably thought you were a tourist, hence the recommendation. im not saying they dont eat it its just become an american thing. pizza in new york is better than in rome. i remember i ordered pizza from one truly italian mom and pop shop and the guy just looked at me sorta "really" and brought me back the laziest dish ive ever seen. meanwhile my father's penne arrabiata was exquisitely crafted.

Worry not, for anything with MGS in the title I shall check. I'll watch the vid soon.
One thing I will say I like is the game did the thing where cutscenes were actually cutscenes instead of you being forced to slow walk as characters have a dialogue dump. There was a video about that shitty trend in gaming and how it really kinda started with Gears of War.
Yeah, he touches on that in the video. I hadn't really thought about it before, but in retrospect, it's a pretty solid point. It's a reverse of what we usually see -- applying contemporary graphical standards to games from the past, for example. But we're not doing that here. We're applying modern trends and crediting games for... not using them. I think the two of us have pretty much been on the same page (especially after you discovered matthewmatosis, heh) regarding MGS4, hence the shoutout. I'm more interested in your perspective because of that.
