Thats impossible tho. The time to put in 100% in certain areas would cause other aspects of life to suffer.

To put 100% of your effort just means to work as hard as you possibly can in that time. No cutting corners or making excuses. He's not saying to devote 100% of your time to one single thing.

If you don't work your hardest at what you're doing, why even try at all?

I've never really experienced this with any site tbh. When some forum is no longer entertaining or amusing to me I just stop visiting it. It's not a conscious effort to not go there anymore, either. I just end up caring less and less and in turn visit the site less and less until I eventually don't visit it at all anymore.

As for the being a cesspool of negativity, I expect to encounter that type of thing so long as I continue to use the internet in general.

As for negativity, there's some to be expected sure, but there are tons of forums I frequent that feel more like a community and it's much more manageable. We do have a problem here. Think of all the prominent users we used to have in our community that have left loudly or just vanished. It's kind of sad.

I'll never understand why people do this. If you're bored of this place then don't log in. Unless you still have some desire to log in at times, in which case, why leave? Just come around whenever you feel like it.
