It's one thing if it's a single-player focused franchise. Another if it's not.

Video games aren't inherently story-tellers. Having multiplayer only is not a bad idea - but the execution is what matters.

You need to give your customers something more to do offline. Either that or bring the price down on the product.

I was quite pleased.

Though I do hope it is an option on/ off for custom games.

Yeah, me too. Just thought it would be funny/relevant to current events.

I really enjoyed the beta (despite me only playing 10 games, I didn't want to ruin the experience too much for when the game releases). Even if it doesn't play like a traditional Halo game, it's an exceptionally fun game in it's own right.

I enjoyed it too, but I hae up after 10 because I despise midship and every game was just that. Plus 4v4 isn't my style, I'm more about the vehicle and big team gameplay. I really hope we get invasion back, that is my favourite gametype from any Halo to date.

Invasion was so fire in Reach. With a large party it can be so epic. I heard that BTB was being taken out of 5...

But I always preferred FFA. Unless I'm running with a team I deem competent (which is rare, my friends suck at Halo and I'm uncharacteristically good at it) I don't take it seriously.

Anyone else notice that within the first few hours, the forum was filled with picture of dicks or just random, disgusting gifs, but as it progressed, it changed to more serious, opinionated stuff?

Or was it just me?

[Yeah, too many commas. Too tired to care.]
You should of seen the second Anarchy.

What was it like?

[Was this the third Anarchy? Just want to make sure I keep proper count...]
I think this was the 4th.

So what was the second Anarchy like? Really need to catch up on everything I've missed.
When it literally was 'No rules' there was everything. Lolis, murders, shock images, porn, Gore, hentai

All the good shit.

I honestly don't think I could handle that. The first day of Anarchy was unbearable.
Which sucked because it left the other forums out to dry.

I dunno, I'm just a year younger than Goji and I don't remember this, either.

Go-to documentary series whenever teachers didn't feel like teaching [at least around here!]

Spoiler
There was a dinosaur episode which I burned into my mind, hence why I remember the intro

That's what I figured, that it was some typical movie teachers would show you. They wouldn't have showed that at the schools I went to.

Yeah, the entire genre is so played out. We can thank The Walking Dead for that.

I can list some:

Halo: Combat Evolved
Half-Life
Mass Effect
Metal Gear Solid 1-4
Bomberman
Resident Evil

1) Congrats on  being one of the only people to stay on topic ITT.
2) >considering MGS4 one of the best games of all time
Don't insult me
3) Haven't played Bomberman or RE.
4) Notice how this list doesn't even have 10 games on it? There's definitely room for TLOU. I'm not saying TLOU is top 10 ever, but I'm saying it's at least top 30-50. Which is quite good, considering how many games are released a year.
Its definitely in my top 100.

MGS4 or TLOU?
Both.

At least tell me you think TLOU is better than MGS4.
Sorry, MGS4 is still the superior game because Snake.

MGS4 is an awful Metal Gear, though. I mean, my namesake is Snake, so rarely do you find someone who matches my love for the character. But MGS4 as whole kinda ruins the SS character for me, and completely SHITS on my favourite game in the franchise by ruining it's ending (MGS2).
I do like MGS2 a lot more tho

Good. There may be a hope for you, yet.

That's part of my internal struggle in a sense. I've gotten used to thinking about death as beneficial release and it's making it difficult to do the things I want despite me having clues as how to progress.
How would that make it difficult to do things? When I think about life, and it's inherit meaningless, I find it hard to do anything I don't enjoy (this is why I'm lazy, because I'd rather be using my time doing something I enjoy.) Most of my life is spent trying to find things I enjoy, but I dislike a great deal of things...
[Kinda ranting but I thought it was relevant to your train of thought.]

Halo CE and Halo 3 ODST are the greatest games of all time.

Halo CE deserves to be on anyone's list of GsOAT. Not so much ODST, as it was more a cash-in (a good one, at that) and a way for Bungie to get away without making a sequel to 3.
CE is an instant classic. Anyone who says otherwise has gone incoherent.

I still found ODST to be one of my favorite games despite it being more or less a cash grab. Oh man, that soundtrack and story.

What surprises me about CE is that when I go back and play it, it's still incredibly fun. But when I got back and play Halo 2 or 3, it's a bit more of a chore (not so much Halo 2 as 3. 3 is god-awful in comparison.) You're right. "Instant classic" is the perfect way to describe it.

I've actually never beaten H3ODST. I just got bored from not knowing where to go. I'm waiting for it to come to Xbox One so I can enjoy it a bit more and perhaps play it with some veterans.
Except that Halo 3 was an amazing game.

Ehh... my main issue with it (from a multiplayer perspective) is that it feels so clunky, floaty, and slow. At least in H2 or CE your speed felt adequate for bullet time and map size. Halo 3's just feels off.
Halo 2 was literally dildos compared to Halo 3

Halo 2's MP is (in it's fixed MCC state) is better than Halo 3's though. Halo 2 original though, was balls awful. But at least Halo 2 tried to go somewhere with the story, Halo 3 is just Halo 2 DLC+more filler than a season of DBZ.

But strictly MP, OG Halo 2<Halo 3

I don't know... from my point of view, non-existence is infinitely better than existence. There's no strife or struggle when you're dead...

I'm interested to see how I go, though. I really want to fuck with people when I get close. Y'know, if I live to be 100 or something, I'll just make up some excuse why. Like, claim I ate a pine cone everyday, just to fuck with people.

Seems pretty average to me.

Well where do you live?
Montana.

You guys get snow there?
Yeah?...
We're high enough on latitude and altitude to get more than enough snow. The weather can be pretty unpredictable though.

It's only a few hours drive to Canada from my town.

Didn't know that. I'm geographically-challenged, haha. I always assumed Montana was pretty far south.
