The Flood / What are you philosophies on life and why?
« on: March 01, 2015, 11:03:17 PM »
Views on life and stuff.

Try to avoid "beliefs" or things that don't actively dictate your choices. I want to know why you make a decision.

For example, I don't ever want to spend a moment of my life intentionally doing something I don't want to do. I always want to be making decision that's going to give me the most enjoyment.

This comes from the realisation that life is so frangile and short that you can't waste it doing things you're not about (which for me means post-secondary education and being employed to do something I don't want to do.)

I have no care for my future, and I like it that way.

Go, Flood. Take this as seriously as you want.

I have gay thoughts but I'm not confused.
Not the only one!

Male or female?
As in which gender I have le ghey thoughts on? Fem.

Interesting. I'm male in case you were wondering.

Do you consider yourself gay, though?
I'm bisexual so I don't consider myself gay.

Heh. What a coincidence. Me too.

What are the chances.
W0t.
Huh. >.>

It was a part of my experiences last year that I was telling you about.
Ohhhhhhhh.
That part.
I remember.

Ironic, huh?
I suppose.
Was it the actual event that made you turn or just a bit of soul searching after it? [If you don't mind me asking]
No, I don't mind.

Well after she moved back to Australia, I guess you could say I did some "soul searching".

Really, it comes down to me being kinda homophobic as a kid, but after she left me, I came to grips with a lot of personal realities, my sexuality being one of them.

Being partially Native American, I can empathise.
Well I am too, but I really don't feel I can.

*shrug*

It happened so long ago and we're all generally aware they got fucked over. I don't think that background really helped my opinion on the game.

I dont know, then. My family is pretty in tune with that side.

Essentially, I'm waiting for Metal Gear Solid V to be released. After that, I plan on moving out with a few mates, settling into a sick pad with 'em, and just chilling until I'm in a proper relationship.

My only plans are to enjoy my life. Whatever that entails. Not going to waste my time doing anything else.
You gotta live to see what this new era you created will headed on to, right Snake?

Yeah, I lived a hard life. Time for me to get some rest.
This is your final mission.

I'M A SHADOW. ONE THAT NO LIGHT WILL EVER TOUCH. AS LONG AS YOU FOLLOW ME YOU'LL NEVER SEE THE DAY.

IT EVEN RAINED THE DAY I WAS BORN.
YOU GOT IT ALL WRONG. YOU WERE THE LIGHTNING IN THAT RAIN. YOU CAN STILL SHINE THROUGH THE DARKNESS.

I TOOK THE APPLE FROM THE SNAKE AND WAS CAST OUT OF EDEN.

ARGGHHH LIQUIIIIIIIDDDDDD!!!!!

That about covers it.
That whole part with Big Boss at the end made it worth it.

Made it worth-less, more like.

Seriously, that was so stupid.
wat

It was soooo good!

They literally bring Big Boss back to life for like, 5 minutes, only to kill him off again.

"One must be brought back to Zero."

His whole schpiel at the end made little-to-no sense whatsoever, even for a die-hard fan like myself.

Not to mention, Kojima knows that fans get emotional with the salute thing of The Boss from MGS3, so he milks that for everything it's worth because the scene lacks any real emotional depth. I actually find the moment where Solid Snake lights Big Boss's cigar to be one of the most touching moments in MG history.

I admit, confirming BB being in the game with the credits thing was clever as fuck, but it still degrades his SECOND death in MG, de-mystifies the Patriots even further and shits all over Solid Snake's character who is shown that he didn't have the balls to shoot himself in the face, when he's given no indication ever that he wouldn't be able to.

/endrant
Eh, I guess I just found it really emotional and perfect way for Big Boss' journey to end.

I dunnoo man. I always thought Big Boss's journey ended in Zanzibar. Liked it that way, too.

10 bucks Kojima retcons MGS4 when he remakes MG and MGSS.
At least he didn't become a cyborg like in Snake's Revenge or...a ghost.

Yeah but those have the excuse of not being under Kojima's watch.

MGS4 has no excuse.
Eh, MGS4 was still pretty good.

Agreed.

People give CoD shit for rehashing the same aspects of its predecessors, but Pokemon is literally rehashing their old games. Why do they get a free pass?

You're going to have to elaborate. Because Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are actual remakes, something I'd like to see CoD do.

1. Can't be dumb
2. Not a whore
3. Not super religious

Define "whore".
If she had been known to cheat(or has sucked a lot dick for money)

I think pretty much everyone would agree with you. But it is interesting that you include that on your 3 non-negotiables.

Did something like that happen to you in the past?
No but I know this girl who's just like that

Ah, gotcha.
I just thought it might've happened to you in the past for you to specifically state that it's non-negotiable.
