I remember posting in your thread. The title just said "shout out to the players excited for it" though. I did not know whether to bump that or make one compiling more information about it :c
I'm just glad people are excited for it. I felt like we were the only ones.
I'm excited for it but I don't really have the funds to blow
Me neither. I'm not even sure how much money it is. I'm kinda saving up for a car ATM, so I don't want to spend too much cash on top of Arkham Knight, MGSV and Halo 5 (given it's not broken). I've already stopped paying for smaller things here and there to direct the majority of my earnings towards a car. But I'm still excited for the game.

I really doubt there will be much new footage, and if there is, the big "news" they're talking about will likely be a release date.
So what's the point, then? Does spending 2 minutes reading an article warrant skipping multiple hours of work?
Yes. Because I get to read it first. I don't think you understand how much I love Metal Gear.

That's a bit unhealthy, dude. Assuming you're working an average 9-5 or so job, then you're ditching all of that to watch what could end up being 5-10 minutes of footage, which will be there when you get home.
At the very least, when the game is actually out, you're going to wish you could spend that extra day playing, instead of speculating and obsessing on forums.
Yeah, it's unhealthy. Fortunately, I don't really care. I'm taking a week off when this game is released, IDGAF. It's Metal Gear. I really doubt there will be much new footage, and if there is, the big "news" they're talking about will likely be a release date.

Only Metal Gear game I ever played was Sons of Liberty, and I didn't finish it because I had no idea what was going on.
But MGSV looks really cool, I might try Ground Zeroes or the HD collection before it comes out.
Also I like kojima, Ameriboos are always funny people.
Ground Zeroes is excellent. It's just easy enough for it to be picked up by a beginner, but just difficult enough to separate the men from the boys. Only issue is the asking price for new, which is around $20 USD. I think $10-15 is more worth it, tbh. If you really want to get acquainted with MGSV's setting before-hand, the must-plays are MGS3, MGSPO, MGSPW, and MGS4. Oh, and Ground Zeroes. Obviously.

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?
Lol'd
But in all seriousness, I'm pretty sure you can get a refund, no?
Yeah 90 day warranty
That's good. Fucking UPS lol, once they game me the French version of CoD Ghosts instead of the game I ordered.

Didn't read, but I can assume someone found this person dead?
The students found the teacher dying, not dead.
That's arguably worse.

Can euthanisation shots by choice be a "thing" yet? Why are people forced to resort to painful or gruesome things to get what they want.

I get taking days off to play a video game, I've done it before and can't say I'm proud of it. But taking a day off to hear news about a game? Maybe that's a little beyond dedication. Don't you get a break or something? If you have a desk job you can check up on it while you work.
You are just beginning to understand my obsession with Metal Gear.

Or that he claims for the 100th time that it's the last MGS title he'll work on.
I hear it's rumored that Venom Snake might be Punished Snake in disguise. Don't tell anyone though.
Also, I'd be both amused and furious if Kojima's special message was that he was cancelling the game.
To be fair, he really does want to end the series. He's basically getting dragged along when all he wants to do is work on something else now.
He's a perfectionist. He doesn't want to leave MGS behind until he creates the perfect game.
Not to mention, he has big plans for Big Boss regarding possible remakes and retcons where Big Boss is the main character in MGS 1 2 and 3.
...How would he be the main character in 1 and 2? He's dead at the time (kind of). It'd take some very creative writing to plausibly make him a participant in those games.
That's what he's saying. He would retcon EVERYTHING after The Phantom Pain so he can "reboot" the series with BB as the protagonist. Can't say I'd be against it. He obviously prefers Big Boss to Solid Snake/Raiden.

Would kill self.

Wouldn't it make more sense to take a day off when it launches, rather than for an announcement?
>implying I won't do both
Well don't you normally have a limited number of vacation days you can take? It would make more sense to me to take the extra days off when it launches <.<
Yeah but Metal Gear is the most important thing in my life. My education and career take a back seat to it.

The news are going to be that Quiet is actually Chico and Venom Snake is actually Gray Fox.
Hehe. Be quiet.

I don't. I just think it was better than what we have now.
Refer to Challenger's response
Has nothing to do with what I said. I don't want the exact same feel - I didn't really like b.old. I'm just saying it's better than what we have now.

Collector's Edition Revealed! Information updated here. So apparently, MGSV will "close the loop" for Metal Gear. For the millionth time, Kojima states that this will be his final MG game. In the video, Kojima suggests this will be his final Metal Gear Solid game.
“With Metal Gear Solid 5, I’m finally closing the loop on that saga,” he said (via Polygon). “In that sense, this will be the final Metal Gear Solid.
“Even if the Metal Gear franchise continues, to me, this is the last Metal Gear.”
After Kojima finishes speaking, the video shows the September 1 release date for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC at the end.
My thoughts. It's kind of bitter-sweet that The Phantom Pain is coming out. I mean, on the one hand, I have a feeling it's going to fulfill Kojima's dream for the series. But on the other hand, he's "finishing" the series in his eyes. It's a damn shame, honestly. I know he says "this is my last Metal Gear" all the time but it feels like he means it this time... IDK, only time will tell. Also, I totally called that the CE would have a prosthetic arm.

Honestly. I'm not expecting much. I'm not placing my thoughts down on some image of perfection and I'm not even expecting anything anymore.
1. Don't be fat or morbidly obese 2. Is on par with my head or is smarter than me 3. Homey and clingy
I'm used to working around ladies who work. So having excess weight is a no no. I live actively. Chubby's fine. But I like a lady who's not afraid to get her hands dirty.
Having somebody with a similiar head or one better than mine means lots of good conversation.
Somebody who likes the peace and quiet of home who will put the amount of attention on me as I put out on them would cement the deal.
But. Pipe dreams to be sure. It's gonna be a long haul.
You would honestly not be with the love of your life if they weren't homey/clingy?

Basically, people are unimportant and replaceable and nothing we will ever do will impact the universe at large.
Holy shit, this. I try to explain this to some people I know and they're like "what".

“The very basic core of a man's living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.” ― Christopher McCandless
Fucking on point
An idealistic lifestyle, no doubt. Difficult to exercise, unfortunately.

Because its kinda true
It's 100% true. But that doesn't really change how you do things or interpret things.
