The Flood / Re: Fourth Tragic Death of 2015
« on: March 03, 2015, 01:07:04 PM »
I agree, but save some of the more important deaths for the game.
Okay. The Rookie wasn't really that important of a character.
He was a popular character. I wasn't specifically referencing The Rookie when I made that statement IIRC.

Quote
They're wasting all of their valuable plot points on a medium that maybe HALF the fans will read.
Quote
lol no they're not
Storm Covenant explanations
Janus Key/Halsey's motivations
Didact's survival

I'm sure if I cared to read more of the lore I could pull up a few more.

Quote
Instead of explaining to us what the fuck happened between the Covenant and Elites post-H3 they just throw us in the game "here you go guys you're fighting the covies again". C'mon.
Quote
What's there to know?
The Elites left the Covenant, which collapsed; something you'd know from playing the Bungie Halos.
How would you know the Covenant collapsed from the previous Halos? All they said was the the Elites left and the Prophets died IIRC.

Quote
The Covenant you fight in Halo 4 aren't the same Covenant you fight in the OG trilogy + spinoffs.
That is literally never explained even a little bit. The most we get is "they're not outfitted like standard military."

Why they don't put shit like this in games instead of lolbooks I'll never fucking know.

Seriously, this would make an awesome story. Or at least, a more memorable Halo story. Nothing like this ever happens in the games, save Cortana.
Who are noble team?
Who is Keyes?
Who is Johnson?
What about that other Keyes?

There's plenty of tragic death in Halo.

In terms of likability/popularity,

Keyes=/=Rookie
Other Keyes isn't even close to the Rookie.

We never played as Johnson, but I'll give you that one. His death was handled pretty well considering the rest of the game.
If you didn't think J. Keyes' death wasn't that bad, you clearly never read Fall of Reach.
I didn't really care on my first playthough, but coming back after reading that book, the loss of the Captain was devestating.

Okay, but that's not what we're talking about, dude.

I'm saying they should save some of feels for the games instead of wasting them in a medium a fraction of their customers will ever touch.

The fact that you needed external information, NOT represented in the game, is a sign of bad storytelling on Bungie's part.

Because:
-A Halo game every year
-Over saturation is bad
-Would spread out 343 too thinly

It's like you think people cared for Noble Team as much as the Rookie, which evidently isn't the case.

Do people start taking him seriously once he become Nightwing?
Yes.

Dick Grayson is a more interesting character than Batman after he becomes Nightwing, IMO.

Plus, he gets props for bangin' Barbara Gordon on the reg.

I wish they'd show Nightwing off more outside the comics. I've really only seen him in Young Justice, and he was really more of a background character at that point.

Agreed. He was finally getting some spotlight as Batman pre-flashpoint but they fucking fixed that right up for god knows what reason in the N52.

He is probably the most interesting member of the Bat family ATM, really. Batman is OP as fuck, Damian Wayne is just Batman, younger, with no limits to punishment. Jason Todd has superpowers now. Tim Drake is just so fucky lol. Barbara Gordon is almost as good as Grayson, but she has eidetic memory so it's kinda OP.

Grayson is just a regular guy who fights because he believes in justice. He's a good soul at heart. I suggest you read New 52's Nightwing, it goes more in-depth about Grayson's differences between the various members of the bat family.

I'll look into it.

This is what you should be looking for: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13532153-nightwing-vol-1

PM me if you need any help with anything. The second and third volumes are also pretty good but the first one is the best, IMO.

Hey, I still got the quiz part right.

Missing by a single point isn't bad considering I did zero prep.

Shhh.

Robin does some good work.

You still liked it :P

Biggest I could find. It still tells the story. I can tell what it says because I read it so many times as a kid.

Don't get me wrong, I knew what was going on. But for the people you're trying to prove your point to, I doubt they can read what's happening.

Who cares? Looks boring as fuck, honestly. Anything that isn't HBO on TV usually isn't worth my time.
It's actually pretty good.

Penguin is by far the best character so far. Gordon's partner Harvey is great too.

I just find anything in Gotham City not associated with directly with Batman to be yawn. GCPD included.
It is directly related to Batman, considering the overarching plot is the murder of Thomas and Martha Wayne, and Bruce is a main character.

Bruce=/=Batman

I mean if it doesn't star Batman I don't really care for it.

You're kinda sad

Agreed.
Skipping school when the game releases I get, but skipping it for a few minutes segment of news that you could read up on your phone whilst at school is a little pathetic and over all retarded.

I was already planning on skipping one day this week because of GDC. Just like I do with E3. But this just makes my decision of "which day" a lot easier.

From what I've heard, his girlfriend is pretty much what everyone one this forum wants, so...

I'm pretty sure I'd be okay with being whipped under those circumstances.

tfw i made a thread 1 month ago and got 2/7's of the replies you got
D:

I remember posting in your thread. The title just said "shout out to the players excited for it" though. I did not know whether to bump that or make one compiling more information about it :c

I'm just glad people are excited for it. I felt like we were the only ones.
I'm excited for it but I don't really have the funds to blow

Me neither. I'm not even sure how much money it is.

I'm kinda saving up for a car ATM, so I don't want to spend too much cash on top of Arkham Knight, MGSV and Halo 5 (given it's not broken). I've already stopped paying for smaller things here and there to direct the majority of my earnings towards a car.

But I'm still excited for the game.
if I had to venture a guess I would say $15-$20

That's also what I'm thinking. If that's the case I might be able to justify the purchase. Anything over $30 might be too much, though...

I'm guessing you're still using the school's One, right?
oh I would buy it on my PC

Oh shit, right. What're your specs?
poopy poopy poop. I'm just assuming I can run this 2D platform we cuz I can run league of legends and dragon age origins.

All I know is my processor is an AMD elite quad core A10 and my graphics card is and AMD Radeon HD 8610G and 6gb of ram

Still better than mine, lol.
