Gotham is a bad show. Fact.
Gotham is as bad as the MGS franchise.
That's contradictory. MGS is objectively the greatest video game franchise ever, and is inherently fantastic in quality.
Gotham, is inherently and objectively bad.
Fact.
MGS is a convoluted franchise made by a gook.
It is inherently and objectively bad.
Fact
Gotham is a basic, simple and childish look at the life of a rich orphan that no one will care about for another 15+ years. It is undeniably bad in nature and this cannot be proven otherwise.

This was an odd test. It would ask questions like "Are men complete without women"? It depends on the man. I mean, you can be "complete" if you're gay, for example, by being with another man.
Anyways, my scores. I don't really think they're accurate.
Hostile Sexism Score: 2.00 Benevolent Sexism Score: 2.09

These = plural More than one That's true. The "not the focus of the story" bit does apply to Halo 4, I'll give you that one. Yes, I know the first point isn't in-game and I'm not denying that, but that's not the current discussion at hand.
The discussion at hand is whether or not Halo 1 and Halo 4 did the same thing. The answer is, they didn't. Two different circumstances.

Four days before I turn 20. This'll be a good birthday.
It's brilliant. I was planning on taking a week off from work/school (depending on it's release date), but since it literally comes out the week before school starts, I don't have to miss any classes and I can just stop working full time the last week of August. Talk about perfect timing.

The only reason that anybody bothers to point at Halo 1 and say 'yeah but Bungie didn't give a reason either' is to try to excuse Halo 4 doing the same. Except Halo 1 didn't have to give a reason, given the Covenant were less of a story-based enemy and more of an obstacle for the player to fight through to get to the real antagonist, the Flood. They kick off the game by showing up and wrecking shit, then act as a placeholder bad guy used to keep the player actually playing until the real story begins. (That, and storytelling in games wasn't up to today's standards anyhow).
Halo 4, however, already has the Covenant as an ingrained staple to the plot; why they're attacking, especially after they had a ceasefire with the UNSC, is rather important this late in the story. They're more than just a placeholder enemy until the Didact and his goons show up at this point, so 343 should be expected to tell us why they're doing what they're doing.
This.

because it didn't overwrite/contradict anything that was established previously, and it wasn't the focus of the story (but this isn't relevant to the argument). These also apply to Halo 4.
No, it doesn't. You can't just take specific quotes out of context and tell me I'm wrong. The reason these don't apply to Halo 4 is because Halo 4 did overwrite things that were in the previous games(Halo 3). There was no in-game reason for us to be facing the Covenant. Just because the books cover something major like that doesn't excuse the inconsistency or lack of communication.

Do you suffer from ADHD?
Nope. But there are certain avatars I like and dislike, and there are avatars that I'm not sure about. That's why I change it so often.
Besides, who cares? If I want to change my name every minute, that's my prerogative as a user.
Are you sure you don't have ADHD?
I'm as sure about not having ADHD as you are about AC3 being a bad game.
You shouldd get checked anyway, just in case.
I'll get right on that shit.

People bitch about 343i not explaining the Covenant in Halo 4 but Bungie did the exact same thing in Halo: CE and didn't explain their motivations until 2-3 years after.
Retarded logic.
It's not. However, explaing something 3 years later is what's retarded.
Gojira already said it. The reason no one cared why we were facing the Covenant in CE was because it didn't overwrite/contradict anything that was established previously, and it wasn't the focus of the story (but this isn't relevant to the argument). Halo 4's campaign didn't explain why we were facing the Covenant after it was seemingly established that the Elites were on our side now.

Stop changing your name
I haven't even changed it all that much. Just the prefix. Trying to find something I like.
Why?
it confuses my simple brain
Just look for the "Snake" in my name. I can promise you, that won't change.

It's been of my experience that when your ex-girlfriend dumps you for another girl that it's better to come home to your triple monitor setup to watch some porn on the big screen.
haha
My life is a joke.
You actually did that?
Watch a lot of porn after my girlfriend-turned-lesbian dumped me? Absolutely.
You made her gay.
lol
Yeah, I've kinda already been torturing myself mentally for the last year about it. So if you could just, not, that'd be great.
Don't worry, we totally won't bother you about this every day multiple times a day.
Anything you say to me I've already said to myself. If you wanna be redundant, go for it. Not my place to say "don't".

How much money do you make a year, if you don't mind me asking?
I'm just trying to compare. My family hasn't always been pretty well-off, and I disagree with "money isn't everything". It's definitely something if you're used to nothing.
Not a number I'm willing to share, but it's quite a lot.
Can you ballpark it? Like "more than 500 thousand but less than a million?" Would that be a safe assumption?
Anyways, my justification for my opinion is this. If you're raised with lots of disposable income, you won't know anything else. If you're raised with a decent amount of money, you appreciate more money more.
I was raised in a dead middle class family, so it was normal. Just average
But nowadays I personally have a lot of money, and the ballpark I'll give you is over a million
Then perhaps you would know better than me, I don't know. Depending on how much over a million you make, we may be really close or pretty far apart. It's been of my experience that when your ex-girlfriend dumps you for another girl that it's better to come home to your triple monitor setup to watch some porn on the big screen.

Notice how I never actually said the Covenant Remnant was explained in Halo 4?
There's a stark difference between "what's there to explain?" and flat out saying they were explained in the game.
I did notice, actually. But in context, you were implying it was, because you used it as evidence to support your opposition to my claim that 343 didn't explain why we're fighting the Covenant again. How about you stop trying to squirm out of this and just admit you were wrong, or at least, mistaken, for once?

Ugh, here we go. You said important at first, so... You can't say one thing but mean another. Considering the Rookie was one of 3 protagonists across multiple games, I'd say he's pretty important. But yes, he's more popular than important and he's not exactly integral to the overall story of the Halo universe. What I said was "They should save some of the more important deaths for the games", but since I can't come up with any examples where an important character has died in the books, I'll admit that was [probably] wrong. What I should've said was "they should save important events and character development for their games", which I've already brought up a few reasons how they DON'T do that. I know The Covenant Remnant in Halo 4 wasn't explained. I never said it was.
Snake: "343 never explained why we're fighting the Covies in H4." Lemon: "What's there to explain? They're not the same Covies as H1-H3." Snake: "And that's never explained in the game at all." Lemon: "I-I know that. ... Idiot." I'm honestly having trouble telling if you're serious or not.
