Those few seconds of pure black-screen before a movie you've been looking forward to begins. Y'know, after the trailers. The Playstation 1 start-up sound. Konami logo music on MGS1's start-up. And stupid me. I take it back. Witcher 3 is my top game so far.I loved it. Better than Asylum, and definitely better than Origins. There was just something about Arkham City though. It seems better overall. But I like the story. Good game. Great even. In fact, it's my top game of this year so far. Though Heavensward could take that. Or Fallout 4. Probably MGSV thoughI just now finished mostly everything. Completed the Catwoman part with Riddler. All I have left is like 204 trophies and a few Firemen to find. Those trophies though. It's gonna take forever. I'm thinking about trying to get the Platinum too. Maybe. Even Arkham Asylum took forever for me to get that... But you're thinking in terms of a Batman-styled Superman game. That's not the route I would want them to go, because like you said, it's not fun. Instead, they could focus on larger environments to fly around in, more personal stories, and instead of dealing with petty thugs, they could tell a much larger story with higher stakes. Saving a city isn't enough for Superman, honestly. They could even have a "gadget" wheel for Superman like they do Batman, and have all the different powers that Superman has. Ice breath = Ice Grenade, X-Ray = Detective mode, etc. I'm not Rocksteady, or any other developer, but they way they answered a few fan questions about it makes me think it's in the ideas stage. 17235

I was ultimately let down by this game in general.I haven't played it, but I don't understand why they didn't just make it a red hood game... I mean, don't get me wrong. I like Red Hood as much as the next guy. The problem is, Rocksteady LIED to us and said he was an all-original character. It's so disappointing because prior to the foreshadowing of his true identity, the Arkham Knight is such a sick character. He's gotten the jump on Batman multiple times, he LOOKS badass, and his voice is sick. And I've said it before, literally anybody other than Jason Todd would have been a better reveal. 17237

Oh my god. Finally, someone asks this question. I've been waiting forever to post something like this. Let's do a Top 5 to keep it short.
(Keep in mind I'm ordering the list based on what would work well with my face and stuff.) 5. Khary Payton - Drebin from Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Azrael/Michael Lane from Batman: Arkham City and Batman: Arkham Knight I'd be using the Azrael voice. Wouldn't fit that well, but I'd have a killer voicemail recording. 4. Charles Dance - Tywin Lannister from Game of Thrones, Emperor Emhyr var Emreis of Nilfgaard from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt This guy just has such a demanding voice. It would be unbelievable to have that ability, but unfortunately, I don't think it would work well for me. I'm not British, so I don't see it happening. 3. Patric Zimmerman - Revolver Ocelot from Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots "BROTHER! IT'S BEEN TOO LONG!" Yeah, I would never shut up. Would work a bit better than the other two voices, but it's a bit obnoxious. 2. Robert Craig Smith - Batman/Bruce Wayne from Batman: Arkham Origins Utterly intimidating to the core, this would just be amazing. Gravely and awesome, again, I would never shut up. The amount of respect I could command with a loud "ENOUGH" would be unreal. 1. Mark Rolston - Slade Wilson/Deathstroke from Batman: Arkham Origins, Andrew Del Rio from Halo 4 This one would just suit me. It's intimidating, but not in the same was as Batman. It's not loud, but cold, calculating. Intimidating. I'm not in any way trying to insinuate that I am cold, calculating or intimidating, but I certainly look the part. At least, that's what I've been told. Honourable mentions: David Hayter - Solid Snake Keith David - Arbiter Mike Colter - Agent Locke Harrison Ford - Han Solo Temuera Morrison - Jango Fett Mike Erwin - Jak 17241

He's the better character, he deserves his own title. Don't forget his Promethean staff. He has Batman's sense of strategy, 1616 Captain America's abilities, and he's a mercenary. Which means you can literally make him do anything you want in a game and justify it with "moneyzz lol". 17242

Still, he's easily the coolest character in the game (after you find out the Arkham Knight's true identity. He used to be cool). He deserves his own title. I love it when he's talking to Deacon Blackfire about god. I don't remember what he said, but he just sounded so bad ass. 17249

Gaming / Re: So about Arkham Knight... (spoilers)« on: June 27, 2015, 12:00:45 AM »
Spoiler I do believe that that is what we are made to believe. The game never leads us to believe anyone would be "ready" to take up the mantle (by Batman's standards) and when Bruce Wayne stops being a separate entity from Batman, the only way "to protect them (Gotham's citizens)" is to "kill" Bruce Wayne. The fear toxin is used to make Batman more mythological. Even one of the thugs says "Batman's lost all his... mystique. This whole Bruce Wayne thing ruins it for me." The criminals aren't afraid of Batman because, now, he's a man. The fear toxin makes him look like something more, especially since everyone "knows" Bruce Wayne is dead. While the ending was certainly left ambiguous for a reason, there's really no evidence for it being anyone else. |
