I never had a problem with Rocketman. He seems like a pretty nice guy to me.

I never understood what everyone's beef with him was.

- Daiya Cheese (site appears to be down atm) is the best vegan cheese I've tried (most of them taste like ballsweat). You may have to go to a health food store to find them though, and they aren't cheap, so I don't buy them often.

This shit is the fucking bomb. If you haven't had their pizza, you're doing it wrong.

I'd also like to add that if Meta is a fan of the Big Mac, he should try out Burger King's veggie burger. Surprisingly good, honestly. Though, I don't know what fast food places they have where he lives.

Just remember that going vegan is like jumping into a cold pool; the hardest part is the initial plunge. After that it's incredibly easy. Now I'm going to go for a run. Do you know how far I can run fueled by clean, pure veganosity? Really fucking far, I'll tell you that.
This. I remember back (almost a year ago), when you and Verbatim convinced me to "take the plunge" (I had already stopped eating meat at that point, didn't realise the harm in cheese and eggs yet). It was really hard to do at first, because I used to chow down on pizza almost every day. After month 3 or 4, however, you start to get used to it. Pasta really helped, the vegan pizza I posted above, a few veggie burgers here or there...

It's really not as big a deal as people make it out to be.

I fixed that for you.

That's not even remotely funny.

Meat is market wether it's humanly slaughtered or not

I've see cows slaughtered at the local dairy farm. It's nowhere near a torterous experience just for the sake of "let's see what will happen" like this is

Intention doesn't really matter here, though. It's a matter of experiencing pain.

I wouldn't have a problem with the meat or dairy industry if the process was painless. Same goes for the rat in the article.
good cattle farmers do make it painless. Actual farmers usually love and respect each and every animal on the farm but that's their livelyhood. They use special "stun guns" that essentially render the cow brain dead before they kill if.
But like I said to Das, unless I'm there to witness the death of said animal, there's no way to verify that. And as a wise woman once said: ain't nobody got time for that.

But meat isn't really my bag, anyways. I'd much rather you show me an instance where dairy is "humanely" acquired, so that I may indulge in an extra cheesy pizza from Little Tony's down the road.

This.
You guys ever visit a local butcher? You vegans ever even walk outside of a city? Ever eat meat that isn't slapped with the logo of a national brand?
Cattle and hogs are killed here with a .22lr, delivered with surgical accuracy right against the skull. They don't feel shit.

And if there was ever a sure-fire way to verify that, than I would be on board with the whole "eating animals" thing. But unfortunately, without me witnessing it, I can't.

Nice generalisations, though.

The ones who can't complain are the ones who voted for the current politicians, since that's what you wanted.
So if those people have no right to bitch about the government they voted for, why do you have the right to bitch about animal suffering when you (presumably) continue to support it?

I feel like you know what I mean. You are being intentionally obtuse for whatever reason(s).
Because there's a differing in the suffering. I already mentioned that one scenario is purely utilitarian and that the other serves no purpose.

We're comparing the hypocrisy. And the difference in suffering is far greater when comparing the rat to the meat industry than comparing someone who voted for Bush complaining about him.

Anyone who is outraged at this and continues to eat meat/dairy is a hypocrite.
Not really. It would depend on the treatment of the animals in question.

I hardly think slaughtering a cow in a relatively painless way compares to torturing an animal for "science".

Most of the time the animals aren't taken care of in a "relatively painless way".

You can't really be mad about this and then go out and eat veal, brother.
But I can.
What I meant was that you're not justified to do so.
But I am.
Would you also say that people who don't vote are justified to complain about the government?

Neither do people like Door. That should tell you something.

I have no idea who that is, but it doesn't sound like a compliment.

Sure I can; everybody's capable of keeping two sets of books.

What I meant was that you're not really justified to be mad. Obviously, you can be hypocritical if you want. That's your prerogative.

Hasn't Afflex proved to actually be a very competent writer and director?

Absolutely, I'm really excited to see what he'll do. Especially since he'll be playing Batman, so I'm sure he'll push the envelope a little bit there.

I'm more confused as to why Johns is co-writing, though. Like I said, he's pretty bad at writing for Batman. My guess is that he's gotten really popular over the last couple of years, and became a higher-up at DC. He probably got first dibs.

Rocksteady got his input for the character of Arkham Knight, so... take that as you will.

We need a Batman Beyond movie. Its long overdue.

Eh... there needs to be a really, really good Beyond template for them to use, first. TAS BB was only good because it took place in the DCAU, where pretty much everything is fantastic. But I don't think it would work well on the big screen.

...Geoff Johns?

Why?

The link from Game Informer. I don't know why I saw it there...

Johns is notoriously bad at writing Batman. If anything Scott Snyder would have been an amazing choice. Or maybe Morrison...

Still, could be worse. It could be Frank Miller.

I'm willing to bet they reuse Marty's  destiny music throughout the whole franchise

They fired him over money

They haven't been using his music in the DLC. As far as I know, House of Wolves has it's own soundtrack.
