I mean, I get where Max is coming from
but
Really? Is it that big of an issue to get this heated over?

Really? I'm a massive MG fan and I thought Peace Walker was the most boring in the entire series. Only one I didn't finish.
Yeah, we've had this conversation before. I need to go back and play it again. I just remember really, really enjoying it.

Portable Ops is quite fun. I rather enjoyed it.
I mean, Peace Walker is arguably one of the best games of last generation, so it's hard to compete with that. But Portable Ops is satisfactory in my books.
I'm fairly sure certain aspects with be recognised as canon for MGSV, if that's your goal. If not, just play it for the sake of playing a good game.
You can probably emulate it with your computer, though.

No. It's too early to have the mindset that you'll die alone. Which is what I have.
But being content with what you have is rather elusive, so congratulations. Hold onto it.

I think I found something we don't agree on, Verb.
As a deeply anhedonic (and by extension, depressed) individual myself, I would jump at the chance to feel any measure of happiness. Whether that happiness has utility or not. The bottom line is, I'm happy. I can only imagine that someone else who suffers the same way I do would agree.
If all the things you mentioned did NOT make you happy (Ex. seeing an old friend leaves you feeling indifferent, etc.) and weed does, that would help a great deal in dealing with one's psychological predicament.
I mean, sure. I realise that, in reality, marijuana does nothing to cure what ails me. But to many people, their perception is their reality, and in their mind, pot=happiness. Who are we to say" that's dumb, it's not real happiness". Just let them be, you know?
I would like to end this off by saying I have never used any recreational drugs, nor do I plan to. Also, alcohol, as far as I'm concerned, is far worse than weed and many other drugs.

SORRY FOR DOUBLE POST
But I think it's rather forced as fuck to have Batman in Metropolis at the same time as Superman fighting Zod...guess they'll have some sort of explanation, but still.
It may be a tad contrived, but I think they need the substantial reasoning to make Superman Batman's reason for coming back into the fight.

By the way, I just noticed the Robin Suit that Joker spray-painted.
So I guess Tim Drake is dead in this universe.
Many believe it to be Dick Grayson. Apparently there was a leaked scene where Wayne and Alfred go to a graveyard with the tombstone reading "Grayson". I'm sticking with Todd, until I see more evidence, at least.

LOL is that seriously the best take they got from Eisenburg as Lex Luthor? Christ that's going to blow up in their face.
Also, Batman is a killer now? It looked like he snapped that Neo Nazi's neck.
Well, he's also blown up cars with criminals inside with his Batwing, so...

The role of Superman will be played by Ben Affleck.
Ben Affleck will also be replacing Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.
Amy Adams has similarly been shafted in favor of Ben Affleck for the role of Lois Lane.
I don't get it.

They got rid of the faggy tattoo and from what I've seen it looks like they're striving towards a more comic book orientated role. I don't know why you wouldn't be hyped, unless you're just trying to be contrarian. I don't know, man. I haven't had much time to process what I think about it, I'm just sort of giving my initial thoughts. It could just be that Arkham Knight left a bad taste in my mouth regarding the Joker, but I don't know... I remember when they revealed Leto's Joker, I was reminded of Batman Beyond's Joker. I think you're looking too much into it.
Maybe. But I feel I haven't looked enough into it. As you can tell, my arguments aren't exactly infallible.

Not necessarily. But I digress. My point is that it feels rushed. There's nothing to suggest that Suicide Squad will fail, especially given what we've potentially got in store with Leto's Joker.
I would like to point out that I never said it was going to be bad - I just said it looks bad. And I'm not really into Leto's Joker. You're just shooting in the dark at this point.
I fail to see how. Even the trailer's music was reminiscent of Avengers 2's.

It just seems fairly obvious. Take an obscure team of criminals that not many people know of and put them in a position to play hero. It's a heist formula, yes. GotG isn't exactly a novel concept that's never been done before either. It's literally just Avengers 1.5 in space.
Not necessarily. But I digress. My point is that it feels rushed. Have you ever stopped to consider that not everything DC does is a complete carbon copy of what Marvel does?
Obviously I have. But no one can deny that DC is rushing to play catch-up with Marvel.

Suicide Squad looks kick ass what the fuck are you talking about?
The only guys I like are Hardy and Smith. Everyone else feels weird.
Actually, Waller is cool, too. But I can't see this being the equivalent Guardians of the Galaxy, as WB wants it.
What exactly gives you the impression they were competing with GotG?
It just seems fairly obvious. Take an obscure team of criminals that not many people know of and put them in a position to play hero. All I saw was a cool comic book heist movie which isn't your typical "le quirky" Marvel film that the market has been saturated with.
Well, obviously. But this looks like GotG if DC produced it.

Wonder Woman seemed really out of place.
Agreed. Especially in her Wonder Woman costume. I could understand her being a political figure, being at Wayne's parties and shit. That might've been interesting.
But nah, we gotta have a shitty action scene that she has no idea how to play.
Plus the actress is a twig, Wonder woman isn't a super skinny chick
Honestly, I've seen people say she's "gorgeous" or whatever, but in all honesty, she's kind of gross... I'm not quite sure how anyone can really be attracted to her... I mean, obviously her facial structure is quite pleasing (and she does look like Diana in that respect), but I don't understand the appeal. I'd rather sacrifice good looks for acting skill and a closer resemblance to WW.

The heavy handed religious imagery involving Superman is so stupid... We get it already, stop hammering it info our brains.
Now you know how I feel with Batman and the Joker.
I agree, I think the "OMG theyr leik the same guis" is retarded. But the religious imagery involving Superman comes across as though a fucking twelve year old who wanted to be edgy wrote it.
I don't know about that, but I do agree. It is ridiculous.
Man of Steel had that problem as well.
I'm not very excited for this film, but I will say that the Superman neo-Nazis thing is an interesting concept.
I am excited for it, but only on the off-chance that it isn't a big-screen adaptation of Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns". Normally, I don't look at any trailers after the first one is released. But for this movie, I just don't give a fuck. I already know how Batman intends to "make Superman bleed", thanks to leaks and such.
