False. The US Government artificially inflates the deer population so that hunters will feel good about themselves. If we stopped hunting, we'd stop inflating the population. It would stabilise. That's the last thing I'm going to say in this thread.

Well, as you can see, I'm currently using Solid Snake's Codec avatar from MGS1.  Now, I was hoping someone could help me out in this area. I recently found a Naked Snake (MGS3) version of my avatar, but it looks a little off and it's not animated.  See how it has the facial hair, mullet and slightly different garments? That's essentially what I would like in my avatar. Also, if you could add an eye-patch on the right eye, that would be great. Anyone lend me a hand?

Remember that you people are the ones advocating the abolition of hunting on the basis that it harms animals, which I then asserted that it is a less painful demise than they would otherwise undergo. Which you can't quantify. Sure, they may die more painfully, but that doesn't mean we get to fucking shoot them. A person born poor in Africa is probably going to die painfully, do I get to shoot them? Hunting already serves other purposes as well, hunters make the state a shit load of money, hunting entertains people, hunting gets people some good meat NONE of which make it okay. The Hunger Games entertained people, doesn't make them okay (fictional, I know. Proves my point.) People can be entertained by other means and can get meat in other ways (that aren't any more ethical). I don't give a shit if you're making tons of money off of the murder of animals, that's arguably even worse. it helps stabilize the ecosystem No it fucking doesn't. You have to prove the the instructor that you have the knowledge and the capabilities to achieve a 1 shot kill with alot of different variables acting against you. I sincerely doubt you have to execute a 1-shot-kill. I'm sure you have to hit the target, but a 1-shot-kill? Doubtful. Of course, provide me with evidence to the contrary and I'll concede. uh no, environmental influences can lead to increases in population. for example: a wet year that fostsers a large food supply leads to a low mortality rate for first year fawns, the following year, there is a harsh winter that kills a large amount of crop. The excess population then is reduced by deaths by starvation as their is not enough crop to support both the excess from last year and this year's newborns. So you're solution is simply to pretend that it's okay to kill these animals because "well, they're going to die anyway!" Surely you see the folly in that. how do you pretend to know ecological systems if you think that populations ever remain at an equilibrium. I don't think that. I'm simply saying that nature would return to how it was before we got involved. Yeah, nature is fucked. Not much we can do about it. Especially when we artificially increase population size to appease these hunters and increase revenue. Like, let's not pretend people hunt for the sake of the animals. They do it because they want to, that's all.

Un my rifle is good up to 3/4 of a mile or 1.2 km/h. My scope is very high with a 16 magnification zoom. I am shooting no more then at 200 yards at most and while stationary lying down and breath controls my shot go where I am them to go. .303 rifle round has enough punch to kill the target.
Who gives a shit? It's still not an instant kill, I guarantee it. Like, you realise how precise you have to be to euthanise an animal, right? You may have sniping experiences from a *video game* but in the real world it's alot more accurate depending on hunter experience. I will openly admit not all 100% of my shots are bull eye. Are you fucking high. It's far more difficult to snipe in real life. I've done it before, I would know. That jab at my credibility isn't fooling anyone.
