BTW you don't need to know about EV/IV/breeding shit to play/beat these games. The majority of games I played, I didn't even realize those mechanics were present.
Play in this order:
Platinum
Soul Silver
White
White 2
X
Alpha Sapphire
That should give you a good start. Skip Platinum if you want, a lot of people don't like the region. Soul silver is widely regarded as the best in the series.

Okay, now that I sort of understand what all those mods do and such, I have a few questions...
Soma build
Is stormbringer necessary? Could you not benefit more from Fast Hands or something? I hear the Soma has an outrageous reload speed.
Also, how many times will I need to increase mod capacity in order to fit those mods?
Well i have a catalyst and 2 formas, for an ideal build id need one more forma but im too lazy.
But i guess i could replace hammer shot or malignant force with utility like fast hands but personally im fine with the reload speed. Stormbringer is absolutely necessary for max corrosive damage.

Yeah, Radiation/Viral for grineer, Magnetic/Toxin for corpus, Corrosive/Cold for void
Gotcha. I plan on making the Soma my go-to weapon, so are there any tips you can give me on the best way to acquire the harder-to-obtain mods? I have serration already, and I've (stupidly) sold multiple point strikes (which makes me think they're somewhat easy to obtain.) But the rare mods are hard as fuck to come by. I only have, like 3, and they're shit.

I'm really hoping I enjoy this game, though.
I feel like I've gotten extremely cynical when it comes to games. I didn't even enjoy Arkham Knight, and I'm a huge fan of the previous entries... Battlefront, something that should be interesting, makes me think that Dice is only pandering to its fans with fan-service galore.
Destiny is just lol.
Halo 5 is Halo. I'm getting it used, because it's the only reason I have an X1. That being said, it looks extremely meh.
MGSV and Warframe are the only things keeping me going with this whole gaming thing.
I am beyond hyped for MGSV. It's like waiting to become one with the Force. It's going to be amazing. And nothing can change my mind. e_e
There are a few things story-wise I'm skeptical about, but I have no doubt the gameplay will be fantastic.
I'm a bit pissed that last trailer told us what Skullface's plan was. I would rather not know, ruins the mystery a bit

Wait the 24 hours for it to forge, and in that time, get the supplies you need for your NEXT weapon. That way, you have enough time to max out the weapon you just forged and have another one on-the-way.
