? TLoU is a fantastic game. Nobody is judging you for it.
"HURDUR IT'S THE BEST MOVIE I'VE EVER SEEN" Don't think it is. I think that was last month's game. I'll have a look now. I have something else I need to do on xbox anyway...
I might be wrong but even so, it might be discounted if you think it's worth it. Though you could just gameshare (or whatever it's called on Xbox) with someone on the forums that has it.

I might get a PS3 at some point then Probably your best bet. Especially since the prices are dropping fast. FUCK I knew I should have got it on my account while it was free
Pretty sure it's still free, though. I wouldn't pay for it, to be honest. Too overpriced.

It just feels wrong
Just let it happen, Lemon.

-You can play MGS1, MGS2 and MGS3 on PS2. If you play them on PS2, be sure to get the Subsistence version of MGS3, because that version has MG1 and MG2 (the original MSX2 Metal Gear games) bundled in it.
It also has camera fixes and stuff IIRC. PS2 version>PS3/Xbox 360 version, IMO.

To be honest you could just start playing at Ground Zeroes and still enjoy yourself. TPP is going to be a blast, and Kojima said new fans won't be left behind, due to flashbacks and stuff.
I mean, it's a gameplay heavy game, so even if you don't get the story, we can explain it on Sep7agon and you can still enjoy the masterful gameplay.

Because ever since watching that, it pretty much turned me off metal gear. I'm not a big fan of the japanese thing of having people wielding swords the size of helicopter blades flying through the air.
Oh, I concur. I'm not the biggest fan of Japanese culture (or, modern Japanese culture) but Metal Gear is certainly not weeb shit, if that's what you're thinking. I mean, it definitely has it's Eastern influences (the translation, the writing style and the MGS4) but I've always seen Kojima as a backwards weeb: he's a Jap that's infatuated with Western culture. I think the mix is absolutely perfect. As Lemon said, the complete experience is on PS3. But MGS1 can be emulated flawlessly on a computer (I think it's actually better this way, the keyboard is better suited to it's retro gameplay) and MGS4 can be skipped entirely (though that's controversial in itself. Basically, MGS4 is the Halo 3 of MGS: overrated by nostaligafags.) As for MGSV, it's on X1, so. . .

Revengeance is still fun but damn it's nothing like the others.
It would be like saying Halo Wars is a good representation of Halo's gameplay.

Well, only if you enjoy stealth-based gameplay and stuff that's sort of jarring and dated.

Is Revengeance 'that game' for the series, like Reach for Halo, or is most of the Metal Gear series like that? Because if it isn't, I might have a look into it.
Yes. Yes. Yes. Revengeance is the furthest thing you could get from Metal Gear. Like if you have a 360, get the HD Collection.

Few months ago, she was feeling down, went browsing some forums, and found me. Months later, I go over there for a week, and then she came over here. Was nice...
Wow, man. Good for you. It sucks that she's so far away, though.
It's not so bad, we keep in regular contact and stuff. After a while you get used to it.
Yeah, you're lucky, though. Most long-distance relationships don't work. At least, in my experience. How long have you guys been together?
Errm, since February I think. Only met for the first time last month.
Wow, I could never imagine that. I doubt I could like someone without seeing them first. Kudos to you, man.

with Big Boss as the main protagonist. no
You don't like Big Boss?
Yes, but I also like Solid Snake. I'd rather they both stayed.
Solid Snake would still exist, though.
It's not like Solid would simply cease to exist. I really have to find this article, it got me really hyped about it.
I actually like Solid more but I think he would be way cooler to have as a side character. Like, imagine him as a buddy in MGSV (obviously it wouldn't work but just use it as a frame of reference.)
i like snake as a protagonist. relegating him to a side character is a disservice.
MGS2 is his best appearance and he's a side character there.

TFW I can't use the ground zero app, since they don't have one for PC/Steam
I've never used it so I doubt you're missing out on much.

I left out MGS for a reason, I don't want Konami to bring it back. They should leave it alone while it still has dignity.
>no "Bring back Kojima and Metal Gear" comment Give the rights to Kojima where they belong.
Best case scenario: Konami goes bankrupt, legal system does everyone a solid and gives the rights back to Kojima at his new company, Kojima Worldwide. He goes on to redo the entire series in the Fox Engine like he originally planned with Big Boss as the main protagonist. Worst case scenario: Konami makes a "Clash of Clans" Motherbase defense game.

No point in being all buttblasted about Konami. If they want to self-destruct their video game division, that's their prerogative. However, I told them that I like the care and attention that MGS5 appears to have been handled with and that I'd like to see more of that.
There is a point, though. I don't care much for Konami's other franchises, but the way that Konami dealt with Kojima is downright disrespectful (though one could make the argument that it's karma for how Hayter was dealt with.) I hate that, he's a visionary robbed of his future.

Oh god, a fucking third one?
I'm really looking forward to the progression of the franchise's story. These games always have such a rich and complex narrative, and the last one left on such a cliffhanger.
>tfw you actually really like DoA's gameplay but the whole tits thing puts you off getting any more games
There's probably a subconscious reason behind my mains being Brad and Hitomi.
I actually haven't played any of them, lol
Isn't it like the only Volleyball video game? There's no Volleyball 2K15 or anything IIRC.
There were two of the xtreme beech games. But uh, some of the body physics in the actual DoA games are like...... ... what?
You can tell all the funding went to boob physics, huh?
