Honestly, IMO there's no good reason to get "back into gaming" right now. There's nothing good coming out except MGSV but even then you can get it on last-generation while playing far more/better games.

But deciding which system you want is easy:
-where do you friends play?
-what exclusives are more interesting to you?

I want to buy TPP now, but pre-ordering is bad and it'd just be sitting there while I play the others first

if you don't plan on playing tpp then yeah, there's no reason to pre-order

i wouldn't have pre-ordered either but it's the only way to get the limited edition guaranteed.

I think my appreciation for his acting was increased when I saw some of his interviews

he's a really, really weird dude, and his ability to "act" like a badass (ala Han Solo) or a Quiet cool-guy (ala Indiana Jones) is pretty amazing.
