I recall you saying you didn't like Twin Snakes is there any reasons why?

That was me, lol

Lemon was the one defending TS.

I'm so excited for MGO

Honestly, me too.

It's going to be my first MGO experience so, yes please.

Also if you guys are ever just doing side missions or free roam, I suggest turning on "Afghanistan is a big place" for theatrical effect. Maybe even upgrade your idroid to make an entrance?

Also, the MGO trailer is fucking cool too

I wish the trailer music, like Nuclear and Elegia were included.

Spoiler
Also I have a theory about that second door. It being Chico or another member of Mother Base. Still wondering though.
Spoiler Spoiler
Chico is confirmed dead in one of the cassette tapes you can get early on. He died in the helicopter crash.

Spoiler
Let's not pretend they couldn't come back to life if Kojima wanted to.

Paz should've been dead as well. Luckily they clear that right up.

Paz-related spoilers
I hear Paz actually died from the vagibomb, and the one you see at Mother Base is just a hallucination.

That's just what I've heard, though.

whered you hear that

Also has anyone figured out how to color your guns?

I'm fairly sure there's a way, I just haven't discovered it yet.
Having a Gunsmith i believe? Although that info is from someone around where i am so not sure how accurate that is.
I'll have to search for one.

I didn't notice that but I'll check it out when I replay that mission. That was a really fun battle though. Tactical rolling works again!

Honestly, I think it's the best boss battle in the series. It feels like what Kojima wanted to do, all those years ago with Sniper Wolf.

He managed to get a lot of it right in Snake Eater

but here it's just blown-up to an entirely different scale with so many more possibilities.

On Extreme you can't get hit -- not once. It's nerve racking. It took me an hour and a half (not including multiple attempts), and I wasn't bored at all. Quite the enthralling experience.

Medical Platform Spoiler
I was so weirded out when i saw Paz there. Found it by accident and my jaw hung open for a good couple minutes while watching the cutscene.

Spoiler
Yeah, same here. Wasn't expecting her at all.

I'm so glad that it clears things up from Ground Zeroes, though. Makes a lot more sense now.

And that scene where the medic has to remove the second bomb... god, that was harder to watch than the one the first.

I don't know if you guys noticed, but during her boss fight, if she runs through the river at any point, she'll stop and start dancing, allowing her to be hit easily.

That's how I beat her on Extreme.
I'm still confused what's happening to those guys though.

Me too. For now they serve a purpose. I need more recruits to rank up the various platforms at MB, and
Medical Platform Spoiler
I need to refresh Paz's memory -- see what happens.

Boobies are literally key to her survival, you monster.

Don't worry! I bring the water gun with me and periodically shoot her in the face.

i guess... I just look past it cause Quiet reks in Side Ops.

Yeah I'm using her a bit more now. She's really useful for those Rescue Motherbase wanderer missions.

it's been ages since i've tried mgs1--can't be seeing no references

Play it. It's still my favourite in the franchise, and one of the best games of all time.

By the way, didn't you have a thread (or bunch of threads) where you reviewed every MG game or something?

I'd like to include them in my reviews thread. Have you even seen it?

Not that I recall. You may be remembering it wrong; I made a mini-dissection of MGS4 in one of your threads, that was pretty lengthy IIRC.

I also plan on releasing my MGR:R review sometime soon.

oh christ i'm so fucking happy you can do that

'Just a box.
That's like not using the crowbar in Half-Life!

I was making a reference to MGS1 when the guards discover your box.

But yeah, almost every other stealth option is refined to perfection. There's no point in using the Cbox unless you're avoiding a Hind-D(?! Colonel, what's a Russian gunship doing here?) or something.

Guys, anyone have any thoughts? Just posted this.

I think I stumbled onto something interesting.

The third floor of the Medical Platform has an infirmary door that opens upon approach. But just below it, there's another door - a unique door, that has a distinct beeping sound when approached that does not open to me.

I'll report any developments I come across.

I think it's mostly for fan service.

It is used for fast travel quite effectively, though.

I haven't used the cardboard box, like, at all.

It's mostly useless to me, now that I think about it.

I guess I'm the only one who actually liked Huey's characterisation this time around. Less of an Otacon clone, to be frank.

Plus, I love Strangelove's monolog about her son.

But seriously though, go to bed. Staying up for fifty hours straight is a terrible idea, even if it means playing Metal Gear.

Okay

I don't care what anyone says. Quiet fucking rakes.

She's my second least favourite buddy so far, next being Dwalker.

But I haven't gotten good with any of them. I've maxed out DD and DH and never felt a need to work on the other ones yet.

Though I just got the
Spoiler
Sniper wolf and Gray XOF costumes for Quiet so I'm definitely going to be using her more often now.

Wow really? FUCK that lol

Raiden can wait for Revengeance 2.

I'm definitely going to go for him.

Especially since you only have to do the regular missions, not their harder versions.

For S-ranking the harder missions you get the Naked uniform (Gold), whatever that means.

No I meant in MGS 5, silly.

Unless those are all... in.... MGS V...........

I doubt The Boss, PO, MGS1/2 and 4's sneaking suits are in the game.

But I know that you can

unlock Raiden!! You just need to S rank every mission...

You've complained about various other things in the franchise - Solid Snake's inability to commit suicide, Quiet's attire, MGS5's lackluster story. I take it you think your judgement is better than Kojima's too, then?

Damn.

You're absolutely right.

I apologise and concede to your argument.

No. The mission isn't finished yet. It's not over.

:S

How many freaking sneaking suits ARE there? I got the one from GZ and researched the one in game as well (which is the one in the pic I use).

Each game has a sneaking suit.

-the white uniform The Boss wears
-the one you pick of from Groznyj Grad
-standard FOX uniform (Portable Ops)
-Peace Walker suit is the GZ suit
-MGSV's MGS1-inspired suit
-dunno what SS wears in MG/2
-MGS1 sneaking suit
-MGS2 sneaking suit
-MGS4 octocamo suit
