Also if you guys are ever just doing side missions or free roam, I suggest turning on "Afghanistan is a big place" for theatrical effect. Maybe even upgrade your idroid to make an entrance?
Also, the MGO trailer is fucking cool too I wish the trailer music, like Nuclear and Elegia were included. 14674

Spoiler Let's not pretend they couldn't come back to life if Kojima wanted to. Paz should've been dead as well. Luckily they clear that right up. 14675

Gaming / Re: Welcome back, Boss. | MGSV Discussion Thread« on: September 04, 2015, 12:16:44 AM »I didn't notice that but I'll check it out when I replay that mission. That was a really fun battle though. Tactical rolling works again! Honestly, I think it's the best boss battle in the series. It feels like what Kojima wanted to do, all those years ago with Sniper Wolf. He managed to get a lot of it right in Snake Eater but here it's just blown-up to an entirely different scale with so many more possibilities. On Extreme you can't get hit -- not once. It's nerve racking. It took me an hour and a half (not including multiple attempts), and I wasn't bored at all. Quite the enthralling experience. Quote
Spoiler Yeah, same here. Wasn't expecting her at all. I'm so glad that it clears things up from Ground Zeroes, though. Makes a lot more sense now. And that scene where the medic has to remove the second bomb... god, that was harder to watch than the one the first. 14678

I'm fairly sure there's a way, I just haven't discovered it yet. 14679
Gaming / Re: Welcome back, Boss. | MGSV Discussion Thread« on: September 04, 2015, 12:06:06 AM »I don't know if you guys noticed, but during her boss fight, if she runs through the river at any point, she'll stop and start dancing, allowing her to be hit easily. That's how I beat her on Extreme. I'm still confused what's happening to those guys though. Me too. For now they serve a purpose. I need more recruits to rank up the various platforms at MB, and Medical Platform Spoiler I need to refresh Paz's memory -- see what happens. 14680

It's still my favourite in the franchise, and one of the best games of all time. Quote By the way, didn't you have a thread (or bunch of threads) where you reviewed every MG game or something? Not that I recall. You may be remembering it wrong; I made a mini-dissection of MGS4 in one of your threads, that was pretty lengthy IIRC. I also plan on releasing my MGR:R review sometime soon. Quote oh christ i'm so fucking happy you can do that Yeah, me too. It doesn't make much sense canonically, but whatever. Better to be a walking contradiction than a sex object, I always say. 14685

I was making a reference to MGS1 when the guards discover your box. But yeah, almost every other stealth option is refined to perfection. There's no point in using the Cbox unless you're avoiding a Hind-D(?! Colonel, what's a Russian gunship doing here?) or something. 14687
Gaming / Re: Welcome back, Boss. | MGSV Discussion Thread« on: September 03, 2015, 11:41:06 PM »YouTube Guys, anyone have any thoughts? Just posted this. I think I stumbled onto something interesting. The third floor of the Medical Platform has an infirmary door that opens upon approach. But just below it, there's another door - a unique door, that has a distinct beeping sound when approached that does not open to me. I'll report any developments I come across. 14688

I think it's mostly for fan service.
It is used for fast travel quite effectively, though. 14690

I guess I'm the only one who actually liked Huey's characterisation this time around. Less of an Otacon clone, to be frank.
Plus, I love Strangelove's monolog about her son. 14692

She's my second least favourite buddy so far, next being Dwalker. But I haven't gotten good with any of them. I've maxed out DD and DH and never felt a need to work on the other ones yet. Though I just got the Spoiler Sniper wolf and Gray XOF costumes for Quiet so I'm definitely going to be using her more often now. 14695

Especially since you only have to do the regular missions, not their harder versions. For S-ranking the harder missions you get the Naked uniform (Gold), whatever that means. 14697
Gaming / Re: Welcome back, Boss. | MGSV Discussion Thread« on: September 03, 2015, 10:58:15 PM »No I meant in MGS 5, silly. I doubt The Boss, PO, MGS1/2 and 4's sneaking suits are in the game. But I know that you can Gameplay spoiler unlock Raiden!! You just need to S rank every mission... 14698
Gaming / Re: Welcome back, Boss. | MGSV Discussion Thread« on: September 03, 2015, 10:56:29 PM »You've complained about various other things in the franchise - Solid Snake's inability to commit suicide, Quiet's attire, MGS5's lackluster story. I take it you think your judgement is better than Kojima's too, then? Damn. You're absolutely right. I apologise and concede to your argument. 14699
