I would like to commend the mods for banning Berzerk so swifly earlier today, however. I honestly expected you to just let him off the hook with a slap on the wrist like you do with everybody else.

What happened to him?

Has anyone tried the Konami code in The phantom pain?

Probably, but I know I haven't.

If you guys get the chance, start developing the Barkov. There's an upgrade that'll make it into a tranquiliser, and it's A LOT better.

They were behind that team until suddenly they stopped.
Konami are also the ones who made them cancel it

That's what I said.

No wonder they didn't get Hayter for The Phantom Pain. He sounds like he has throat cancer.

They could've just told him not to do that voice.

He's able to do his MGS1 voice easily.

Anyone know where to get the engineer that can color your bionic arm?

That won't happen though, for 2 reasons.
1- Konami will make them stop, like before.

They were behind that team until suddenly they stopped.

Quote
2- They could just choose to only license it to studios with money.

Anyone can have money.

Konami really should license out the FOX engine.

TPP makes me want a new Red Dead so bad.
I can see fan games utilising that engine, recreating MG1/2. I know David Hayter said he would be willing to help recreate that game in HD.
I doubt a fan remake will happen, I've linked this before but Konami was behind this for a while until they mysteriously got it shutdown (which hopefully means they plan on doing it themselves)

Hadn't seen that before. That's pretty cool.

Maybe they'll do it themselves, but I just don't see it happening.

Have you got TPP yet?

Have you beat Snake Eater yet?

Konami, if they don't make new MG games with it, will license the FOX Engine. It's basically free money.

Spoiler
You people have a bad habit of making shit out to be better than it actually is.

The ending wasn't handled with anything but clumsiness. The story wasn't about revenge, turning into demons, or a fall from grace like the trailers advertised.

Big Boss had little to no emotion regarding revenge.

Spoiler
I can at least appreciate what they tried to do. Poor execution of a good idea doesn't mean it wasn't a potentially good idea.

Spoiler
So can I. I already said like 5 times that I think Venom Snake is an interesting concept.

It was just executed poorly.

I never said anything about framerate

I did.

Uncompressed MGSV gameplay = 1080p/60FPS

A lot harder to do than 1080p 30FPS.

Holy shit the PS4 share function is fucking awful

look at that quality.
PNG captures are coming with the next update

Thank fuck.

What about uncompressed video recording?
Unlikely
You need a proper capture card for that.

Anything higher than 720p?

"You've only got two options, Kojima. Either leave Konami now, or include a pointless plot twist that completely invalidates the rest of the game."

"...Well then, see you fuckers later."

That...

actually makes a lot of sense.

So what do the plus signs actually mean? Do they eventually level up to S-Rank?

Also it was nice seeing every skill as yellow. Felt like christmas

Ohhh right. Can they level up? I haven't really seen any S-Rank guys.

I dunno, tbh. I think their skills improve when they get medals, but as far as I know that only happens to the combat unit.

I have tons of S rank guys so you'll see them eventually. You can "catch them in wild" if that's what you're wondering.

CHAPTER 1 SPOILERS IN THE VIDEO

YouTube

Came across another door that won't open.

Command Platform (Main), keep making your way up to the top (near the helipad). Should be on your way.

My guess is that it has to do something with a cutscene that I missed during this playthrough. Same goes for that other door on the medical platform.

I think there might be one for every platform.

Like always, I'll update if I discover anything.
Spoiler
Eli usually sits at the top of the command platform, maybe it was a way to get up to him?

Guess I'll have to make a new save file soon and find out.

This is going to sound crazy, but

I think it could be better without him.

If you take the KojiPro team, and get a creative lead that respects and understands the lore, you could make the game we've been waiting for.

The foundation was set with TPP. All they need to do is deliver on the gameplay side of things again, but increase the story quality.
The guy that did Portable Ops did a good job imo

That's what I'm saying.

I don't give PO as much crap because they were doing something brand new on new hardware. Peace Walker's success was built upon the failures of Portable Ops.

And PO has one of the better stories in MG, IMO. Mainly because I think the team realised if they didn't deliver, they'd be chewed apart by the fans.

See what I mean? If they can build upon TPP's open-world infiltration, and treat the lore with the same amount of respect, it could be better than every.

I'm honestly more afraid that Konami won't do anything with the IP, save pachinko machines and mobile crap.

I read somewhere that the guy who helped Kojima write the first 3 Solids wasn't around for the ones after that.

Take from that what you will.

Sean Eyestone IIRC co-wrote PW.

I dunno if he did anything for TPP though.

I recall that they gave a reason in PW.
Snake is worth the weight of 40 men.

That new name, though.

Currently working on S-ranking all the missions and also getting all of the Mission Tasks completed.

Refraining from taking a shower to see if I can trigger that cutscene.
