My passion for things makes my emotions spike which leads me to being too passionate and strong about what I say. I lack a filter. For that, I am sorry. I don't think of you any less as a person. Yeah, we definitely agree on that. I even said somewhere that part of my problem with games is just aren't as good as they used to be. And I don't really think that's nostalgia talking, because a lot of the games I'm talking about I have only played recently.

And like I said, I think gaming has a lot of -- or dare I say, the most -- potential as an entertainment industry.


Really it all links back to my inability to enjoy things. It's not like me hating games is a special event -- it's pretty consist in most aspects of my life. But there's really nothing I can do about it but soldier on. But I mean, that's just my opinion, and that's why I was getting confused as to why you were arguing with me... I wasn't sure what you were getting at.

For the sake of the argument, I will define "fanboy":

One who cannot take the criticism of something that they're a fan of, or cannot see the faults in said something.

Not the best definition but it gets the job done.

I do not identify as a "fanboy". I identify as a fan. I have never shown any incompetency when it comes to the criticism of Metal Gear, and I would argue I'm the franchise's biggest critic on this forum. This also contradicts the second part of the definition, that I'm incapable of "seeing the faults" in Metal Gear.

Now, as for the whole "blindness" or "narrow mindedness", this is just ridiculous.

Metal Gear isn't inhibiting my ability to enjoy games. Metal Gear isn't the reason I think GTA is shit. I think GTA is shit because it is. Metal Gear has nothing to do with it. It's just random words strung together by emotional fuel due to a negative bias towards me and the backlash of my comment about TW3:

Somehow doubt it has the depth of MGSV. I do need to play it, though. If not only to compare.

Notice how I didn't say TW3 was objectively shit, or even just regularly shit? I said it most likely doesn't have the depth of Metal Gear V. Additionally, this doesn't make the game shallow. I don't know anything about the game's depth, but I can wager based on the sheer scope of MGSV's, that it isn't more than that.

I clarified above why I don't think TW3 has MGSV's depth. I could be wrong, but I made the safe bet that I wasn't.

I also don't believe that you cannot judge a game without playing it. You can get almost everything out of a game by watching someone else do it. I've tried. And I actually enjoyed seeing someone else tackle a problem I would've tried a different way (admittedly, this is more to do with my fascination with human psychology than it is anything else.) But that's not relevant.

Near the end she becomes dismissive for whatever reason. I won't comment on that.

Moving on.

1. She has not been able to effectively demonstrate why I'm "stupid", or "biased", nor will she be able to, because I'm not.

2. "Not liking it" and assessing a game as bad are synonymous.

Really it comes down to this:

Most games bore me and are bad (remember, bad is subjective). The exception to that rule, along with a select few others, is Metal Gear.

Therefore I obviously think Metal Gear has the best games in gaming.

It's not that hard to comprehend.

The same way you would throw a hissy fit if someone said MGS "looked bad" or LC saying Quiet's explanation for dressing why she does is a "spoiler" that made you flip shit.

1. Regarding the "hissy fit" accusation: Unverified and will remain that way until the end of time. I have never thrown a hissy fit because someone said MGS was bad or anything. I simply asked why they thought that, and didn't deem their answer as acceptable, so I challenged it.

I mean, if someone said "I just don't enjoy the appeal of MGS's brand of stealth", there's not much I can say to that. But if someone says "The stories are convoluted and nonsensical" I can obviously challenge that with ease.

2. Regarding the Quiet spoiler, this is just completely irrelevant. It has a lot to do with my expectations for the game, and I would have this opinion for any game. I got mad at LC (which I apologised for soon after), for spoiling an aspect of a game that I've been waiting for for 7 years. Sorry, but I'd react that way regarding anything. I don't care what you deem that reaction as. It's about the principle, that's it.

I've acquired enough wisdom in my short life to know it is (Bill) nigh impossible to change the mindset of someone narrow minded and deluded in their own world of facts.

Nowhere did I say that my words are factual.

And I'm not opposite of narrow-minded. I don't know how to justify this in any way other than changing my philosophical beliefs on a dime when new evidence and reason is presented.
