So I'm playing MGS1 and still trying to full understand the plot.

The government sent Snake in with FOXDIE to kill everyone.
Liquid used Snake to activate Metal Gear, did he know that Snake was there all along, fully aware of the FOXDIE?

Of course he knew he was there. Master Miller is introduced extremely early in the fame, and the first thing Liquid says is "He'll be through here soon."

Additionally, they realise Snake is carrying the FOXDIE virus when Decoy Octopus and Baker both die spontaneously after being exposed to Snake.

45 is hard if you aren't prepared.

Even if you are it's pretty difficult.

Film dissection and analysis

That's what year 11/12 Media was in my High School.

Lucky. My school doesn't even have a philosophy class for seniors.
I thought enough people signed up for it. It's a shame they didn't add it.

Not that I'm interested in learning philosophy from a Christian perspective.

I just spent 30min trying to kill a heli by dropping tanks on it, and only managed to get it to catch on fire.

was it one of those red tanks

those things are a bitch to take out
I've never seen a red tank, but I painted all my tanks red. It was on the mission where you need to take out the armored convoy heading to the airport. All I wanted was to kill the helicopter by dropping things on it, but it wouldn't die.

the side missions for eliminating the tank unit eventually get red tanks and choppers and theyre way harder to kill

You can't help it so deal with it.

It's not hurting anyone.

I used to feel bad for my kink but then I realized that's dumb so I stopped.

i think we're just different people then

because i can't stop myself from being disgusted with it

but i can't stop myself from what i like

I think the problem here is that Snake simply just doesn't like video games in the same way that, well, everyone else does. He flat out said that games suck--he's just in it for the story. So, from that perspective, does it make sense to say that a game sucks because its story isn't intriguing enough? Yeah. It's stupid. It's absolutely retarded. It doesn't make sense.

Only, that's not really what he's saying. At least, from what I gather.

Most people here DO enjoy video games. They can't get all they want out of a game just by watching a YouTube clip, unlike Snake apparently can, because Snake looks for different things than us. So when he says that a game he hasn't played "sucks", he just means that he doesn't find it intellectually stimulating. Kinda like how I operate, but... still very different, because no amount of him playing the game is gonna change that, because he doesn't give a fuck about the game.

I guess.

So, is it fair to same the game sucks? No, not at all, but I think he's meaning it in a different way than we're interpreting.

Fucking thank you.

I didn't think it was that hard to understand but apparently I was wrong.

The stimulation and "sucks" interpretations were particularly spot-on.

it was advertised as content rich and with a deep story

and mgsv was advertised as the missing link between the solid and naked snake chapters

that's not what it sets out to do

i'm not saying you can't judge the game without playing all of it -- the contrary, actual

you can judge a game without even playing it

except you can essentially experience the depth of what destiny has in a few hours because it's so shallow

The game's strength isn't it's depth. You have to judge a game by what it sets out to do. Destiny is not meant to be the Mariana's Trench.

If I'm not allowed to judge a game because I haven't played enough of it, neither are you. Depth has nothing to do with it.

I mean

you haven't played MGSV, so you can't tell me I'm wrong and that TW3 is more deep than MGSV.

It's the exact same thing

luckily I'm not saying MGSV has more depth than TW3

a couple hours? i stopped because i don't play shit games because well... they're shit

So you don't need to experience all the game's assets to tell if it's good or not?
no?

Excellent.

I don't ever want to see you say I dismiss games because I'm a Metal Gear fanboy. I've experienced just as much of those games on Luciana's list as you have of Destiny.

I dismiss those games because they're shit, nothing more.

"i don't ride mgs' dick"

because I'm not.

Quote
TW3 is one of the games from the small pile of games with enormous amounts of detail, from the little minute things that not many care about or would even see, to the huge things that's in your face.

Great. That's awesome.

Like I said, I didn't deny that. But I haven't played TW3, or seen anyone play it, so I can't verify that.

It could be more deep than MGSV, but my point was, the odds of two highly detail-oriented games coming out within a few months of each is highly unlikely. Since MGSV is the only of the two games in the discussion, I wagered that it didn't have the same depth. To which I prepared for incorrection by saying "But I don't know because I haven't seen enough of it."

If anything, you're riding TW3's dick right now.

Quote
Except I have, and it is shit.

How much have you played?

Quote
sure

Well what else could it be?

I've already proven that I'm not a fanboy. So what other ulterior motive do I have for saying "those games are shit"?
