The aorus x7 runs sli 970m gpus, 17" screen and it's very portable

If it's windows 7 you're looking for you're probably not going to find it, unless you comprise power for and get an older model

I can always upgrade to W10, no?

Is 10 any good? I'm sorta used to 7 and don't wanna learn the new stuff... plus there's a few programs I don't know will transfer.
I think its a limited time, for me transferring was fine because I'm not fussy with computers I dunno about you.

I wouldn't say I'm fussy but rather I've just become so accustomed to Win7 that it would be super jarring to change. I'll deal with it if I have to I just don't want to be stuck with Win8, which is what these laptops ship with.

unless you shell out a lot of money for it.

How much?

Quote
You could build a desktop that can play TPP on Ultra 120fps for the price of a gaming laptop that would play it on low settings.

I know. That just isn't an option for me. I already have a desktop, anyways.

The character creation in MGSV is awesome. I just wish there were more hairstyles and stuff. It's such a missed opportunity that could've been so fun.

Like imagine you could recreate Jetstream Sam or something?

If I'm going to buy a laptop I'm going to get one I can play games on.
What's your maximum price?

I don't really have a frame of reference that's realistic, but I'd like to pay as little as possible without sacrificing game fidelity (i.e. resolution and framerate should be consistent.)

Honestly you don't need to know anything going into MGSV. The story is so underplayed it doesn't matter.

If you're looking to play top end games on a laptop, there lies your problem.

It's gonna cost you twice as much for the same power a desktop would give you.

I already have a good desktop but I can't bring that with me.

Obviously.

That's why I asked for recommendations.

I'm just looking for something that can play The Phantom Pain and other modern games on the move. If you can find a deal for me that includes TPP for free, that'd be great.

The opening of that song and trailer was so perfect. They ruined that.

Not to mention the first minute or so of the song sounds extremely cluttered, almost like two songs are playing at once.

I can understand adding certain scenes onto the end by looping back to the first verse but damn, he really screwed up.

Every other game that isn't MGSV in the series has a good story
even 4?

No, but it definitely has its anime moments.

Is it a good story or is like one of those autistic animes with cringe inducing dialogue seeing as how it's Japanese?

Every other game that isn't MGSV in the series has a good story but has it's anime moments.

MGSV is a complete departure in that regard, with what sometimes feels like no Eastern influence at all. It doesn't tell a great story, but it doesn't have cringey anime moments, either. The story takes a backseat to its gameplay.

I suggest getting both Ground Zeroes and TPP.

In an era when the world was still divided into East and West, The Boss, the Mother of Special Forces and hero of World War II, defected to the Soviet Union. But for The Boss, her defection was no more than a cover. She was ordered to infiltrate the Soviet Union, and during her time there, a rogue revolutionary known as Volgin set off a Nuke with the intent of framing The Boss.

Under orders from the U.S. government, her final apprentice, Naked Snake, took her life.

She was made by her superiors to sacrifice herself to prevent nuclear war.

That was her final mission.

The Boss used Snake to ensure that the Philosopher's Legacy, the vast military fund under Soviet Army control, would reach America.

For these outstanding "accomplishments", Snake was awarded the title of "Big Boss".

Afterwards, Snake turned his back on America and began recruiting soldiers with the help of Kazuhira "Kaz" Miller, a man he first met in a war zone. In 1974, the pair constructed a secret base known as "Motherbase" located in the Caribbean.

Snake's private army continue to grow, until their need for a deterrent prompted them to obtain nuclear weapon.

Meanwhile, Major Zero, the man who once worked with Snake to create special forces unit FOX, used the Philosopher's Legacy to expand his intelligence organisation, "Cipher". Cipher proceeded to spread its roots into the furthest depths of the United States.

With no military of his own, Zero longed to rejoin his disenfranchised comrade, Snake, and sent his operative Paz to make contact. When Snake refused, Paz attempted to steal the nuclear-equipped walking battle tank Metal Gear ZEKE, but was thwarted. Upon realising Zero's violent intentions and coming to terms with the Boss's teachings, Snake finally accepts his title: "Big Boss."

Flung from ZEKE's cockpit, Paz vanished beneath the waves of the Caribbean. . .

This is just from the top of my head, sorry if it's a little hard to follow. I based it off of GZ's opening.

1This doesn't include Ground Zeroes, which, if you have an Xbox, you can get free this month. I recommend playing that.
2This doesn't include anything following The Phantom Pain in the canon. It only recounts the events of Snake Eater and Peace Walker.

Unfortunately the series doesn't really get any better from here on out.

Expectation spoilers for all the future games
Halo 2 ends too abruptly for it to be any better than CE, and what's there isn't all that great to begin with. 3 sucks, Reach sucks, and 4, on its own, sucks. I haven't played ODST. Speaking strictly about the campaigns, here.

Still hoping that you'll get around to playing MGS1/3 soon. Preferably 3, it's the best one.

Nice work with the review.
