The salute didn't bother me as much but I think it would have been more emotional if he couldn't even finish the salute because he was too weak.
The salute was the biggest offense in the game, IMO. I hated when they re-released Snake Eater with that stupid cover art.  It's cool but stop milking it, yknow.

I imagine they'll be dirt cheap by now There's a collection on the PS3 if that's an option for you. The difference is negligible, though. They both run at the same frame rate and the resolution isn't anything to write home about. So yeah, the PS2 versions are the definitive versions, IMO. I can't speak to their gameplay because I don't know if they're dated or not. I really really enjoy them, though.

Never played that one.  It was one of Sony's PS2 mascots. An excellent platformer. The series suffers from an identity crisis in the sequels, but I mean, Naughty Dog just makes excellent games even when they're at a disadvantage. I can never decide which one is my favourite.

Honestly, Destiny looks okay now that it's out of beta.
Meh, the gameplay is a sufficient amount of fun for me. It's nothing special. Like I said the only reason I want it is for playing with my friends.
I'm not gonna get it anytime in the foreseeable future, though. There's other games I'd much rather play.
Like what? Realistically I see myself getting it at Christmas. There aren't many games I'm looking forward to. There's the new Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Halo 5, and Mankind Divided. Everything else IIRC doesn't interest me.

Yeah man. Playing with friends can make the experience so much more memorable. For example, I've put a shit ton of hours into the Arkham Origins multiplayer because my friends and I would just hop on together. It was awful but sooo fun, y'know?

What have you done with the real eliab? the real eliab would never admit to liking a game that isn't mgs Contrary to popular belief, I like games that aren't Metal Gear. Jak and Daxter, Ratchet and Clank, Crash Bandicoot, TLOU, etc. But usually for 1 or 3 reasons: 1. The game is more art than a game (I.E. Metal Gear is more a piece of art than a game) 2. Nostalgia (I played the game as a kid, and can't look at it objectively) 3. Social exposure (simply playing with friends) Hope that helps in the future.

...I miss playing Destiny.
Or rather, playing Destiny with my friends.
I hopped on yesterday to see the update. As I was looking through the tower, I thought to myself:
"This doesn't appeal to me. I feel nothing."
But then Tyger joined my party and Fireteam, along with some of my older buddies. And immediately, I wanted to play. It was almost nostalgic, honestly. They've made a lot of good changes but really, I don't care about that. I care about playing a social game with my friends.
I won't allow myself to buy TTK until the price drops (I'm hoping for a sale around Christmas), but I just gotta get it off my chest that I really miss having a game to play with my friends.
Does anyone else feel like this?
