Gaming / Re: Which FPS (framerate) do you prefer?
« on: October 10, 2015, 11:44:19 PM »
60fps is objectively best
Knack would have been better if it was 1080/30. Maybe it would have had more than three enemies on screen at one time.

Knack can't get any better. It's hit the quality ceiling.

No, it's transcended the ceiling to the quality attic.

I don't have an issue as long as this doesn't escalate into something worse.

And the profits of this system somehow benefit us all.

It's not a Battlefield reskin but that doesn't make it good.

Can't say I've changed my mind about this game.
Good for you.

Thanks.

Obviously you don't, because your rebuttal was that it "isn't used that way."

Yes, because the gaming industry needs more hipster pet project indie games. Like Steam isn't already flooded with those.

No, the industry needs creative leaders to take risks and be inventive with the hardware.

Gaming has by far the most potential of ANY entertainment medium to become art -- it just... isn't. And that's awful.

I get your whole artistic vision thing, but it isn't really applicable because it isn't used that way.

Never been used =/= can't be used.

You people lack the imagination the industry needs.

i don't see how it can be used in an artistic sense but okay

You lack imagination, then.

The point is, just because you can't come up with a good reason to lower the FPS, doesn't mean there isn't one.

I had fun with it. It fit nicely within the movie canon. Lots of cool costumes with simple and fun gameplay.

purposefully pissing off potential customers isn't how you make a successful game

MGS2 wants a word with you.

Frame rate doesnt even have anything to do with art

To you. The creator could absolutely think it has something to with their artistic vision.

Think outside the box, man.

Theres nothing artistic about low frame rate....

Its just an eye sore

If the developer decides that a lower frame rate achieves the artistic goal of the team better, then it's objectively better than a higher frame rate.

Ori and the Blind Forest?
What are they?

It's one game. "Ori and the Blind Forest" is it's name.

It's an old-school platformer. A lot like Metroid. Very good.

When I try to add this to my phone, it asks me what type of account it is. These are the options:

POP3
IMAP
Microsoft Exchange

Which one do I choose?
IMAP

incoming host: box980.bluehost.com
outgoing SMTP: same as above

If it asks for a username, it's your email address.

This is what I see:

Spoiler

And when I click "Next", it says, "Authentication failed."

What do?
