no I mean you don't want them to carry it because it makes you feel unsafe It doesn't make me feel unsafe -- it is unsafe. Don't apply American memes to Canadian values pls

muh safety and protective guberment
I know you're joking or whatever, but Sikhs don't carry Kirpans around for safety or protection. They just do it because they have to. It's a religious requirement.

Just a quick question, when was the last time a sikh randomly pulled out their kirpan and started stabbing everyone in the street? Infact, when have sikhs ever been problematic in the west? Literally never. Or very rarely. It doesn't matter though, because like Sandtrap said, a knife is a knife. It's a national security risk. I actually have the utmost respect for Sikhs. Don't lump them in with muslims thank you very much. They deserve to be lumped in with muslims in this context, though.

I'm not trying to prove your opinion wrong -- I just want to have a discussion. No one else cares about Canadian issues, lol. I like talking about them.

You're skirting around my point about religions trying to exempt themselves from shit. They can't break the law because they fucking change the law for themselves. But you're missing my point that sometimes the laws need to be changed. It's not black and white, the issue requires more nuance than that. Should Sikhs be prevented from carrying their Kirpans in public? Absolutely. That's pandering. This "muh religious freedom" crap is tiresome and it needs to go ASAP. We agree on that. But the niqab issue? It literally doesn't hurt anyone, and it's actually the Canadians trying to change the law, instead of the other way around like you claim. And I don't give a fuck if it's in the constitution because I just told you I don't place faith in the government whatsoever. Constitution =/= Government C'mon, man. Play ball. All the candidates are fucking shit. Harper has one thing up his sleeve that the others don't. He's a businessmen through and through. But he's shit everywhere else. Personally, I think if anybody else gets in other than Harper, it's going to be worse. We can't really do much worse. We've been in 8 recessions under Harper, so his "prowess" as a business man should be taken with a grain of salt. I really like May, though her party will never get in. This stupid meme that the green party is a joke needs to GTFO. Then again, I don't trust politicians either. They're always the same old song and dance pandering bullshit. No matter who gets in, it's going to be fucking shit anyway. Yeah, I didn't realise how true that statement rang until I watched the Democrat debate last night. I mean, Canada's debates are FAR better but it's still fucking bullshit.

It's a stealth game first, a third-person shooter second.
Don't worry about beating Far Cry 4 first, it will only take about an hour to beat Ground Zeroes.
You serious? I was expecting like a 5 hour prologue with another 10 maybe to collect all achievements. But 1-2 hours? Damn.
The rumours of Ground Zeroes's length were greatly underexagerrated.

I don't give a shit about religious freedom. You should, have the right to practice your faith in the sanctity of your home or a place of worship. But not to change the laws that every other citizen of the country has to follow, just because you're in a religion. None of us have to follow a law that the "religious" come up with. Because they don't come up with laws, or even try to. Most of the time, they're trying to exempt themselves from a law we have to follow. I don't like "religious freedom" because the first thing every religion does, is try to bend all the rules in their favor. To the point that they have an advantage and can do things that citizens of the country do not. That's some grade A special snowflake group bullshit. I agree that they have a somewhat unfair advantage. But it's still in our constitution that people have the right to practice their religion as they please (given that they're not breaking the law.) The bill advocates for sharing information, if I remember correctly. But it's got some loopholes that could be abused rather easily. I'm of the opinion that "if I don't have anything to hide, I don't have anything to fear." The difference being, that C-51 (for our American readers, it's essentially a worse version of the Patriot Act IIRC) allows the government to call any critique of the government "terrorism". If I emailed you my opinion on why Harper is a lying shitlord and how I've converted all my buddies to the same opinion, I could be wrongly jailed. I know the NDP wants to abolish it and the Liberals want to "heavily modify it" (whatever THAT means), but it's current model is fucking terrible. Especially since I have very little good things to say about the Harper government, lol. Personally, I put very little faith in the government. And I don't expect them to do a good job. And I certainly don't expect them to get better anytime soon. Mhmm. I reckon we'll get a minority government come the election with Trudeau winning the PM position. Which isn't exactly great for Canada, but IMO it's better than Harper getting his third term. It's not quite the shitshow America has but it's no prize pony, either.

1. Quebec right now, is in a legal fight with its Islamic communities because they want their women to wear their veils in public completely. And they have complete impunity at airports already. Well, yeah. Canada's consitution grants religious freedom to every citizen, and some muslims view the niqab as a religious obligation. Unless it's a security risk (like it is at air ports, where it should be banned IMO), there's no good argument against it. The conservatives are just using it to ride people's deep-seated racism even though it's ridiculously unconsitutional. Anything to get their polls up. I mean, yeah, fuck Islam, but you can't really believe they should be forced NOT to wear it. It's not hurting anyone. 2. Sihk men, on a fair number of occassions, carry ceremonial daggers on them. Not long ago, these guys made a fuss that they weren't allowed into nightclubs because of their daggers. You're not allowed to enter a nightclub with weapons of any kind. Long story short, the courts passed a new law, and they can now walk into nightclubs with their daggers unhindered. Fuck Sikhs, too. Kirpan's should be banned. 3. Pakistani/Indian people, who wear turbans Only Sikh's wear Turbans, and the case in question involved Sikhs. Just clarifying. made a fuss a while back about not being able to wear their turbans on motorcycles, instead, having to take them off and wear helmets because of the law. And, sure enough, they complained, and got to wear their turbans on motorcycles. Um... no? That's just false. http://www.ctvnews.ca/mobile/politics/turban-wearing-sikhs-riding-motorbikes-in-ontario-must-wear-helmets-1.1966854http://www.nationalpost.com/m/wp/blog.html?b=news.nationalpost.com//news/canada/canadian-politics/its-mindboggling-sikh-group-furious-that-kathleen-wynne-wont-exempt-turbans-from-motorcycle-helmet-lawIt was a good win for Canada, IMO. What kind of shit gives people the right, to come into a fucking country, and start changing laws to suit themselves when they're foreigners? The Canadian consitution, silly. Religious freedom. These new laws are made into laws because the Canadian government didn't have the hindsight to think of them when we were writing the damn thing. Again, as long as it isn't a safety concern, the can do whatever the fuck they want. If you wanna wear a towel around your head like a fucking weirdo, go for it. Keep your fucking religious dick in your pants. Keep it to yourself, and practice your faith in the private sanctity of your home, or place of worship.
In a perfect world, no one is religious, anyways. But we don't live in a perfect world. People should have the right to do whatever the fuck they want so long as they're not effecting anyone else. Out of curiosity, what's your opinion on C51?

well I mean if they made all the emotes cheap enough to get with the free silver why would anybody buy it?
1. Because you can only buy two of them (you should only be able to buy 1 Legendary (400 Silver an emote) or 2 Rares (200 Silver an emote). Really, the problem is them choosing which ones are cooler and selling them for just enough to warrant a purchase of another $5.) 2. I assume more are on the way. 3. They will be selling starter packs and XP boosts in the future.

It's stuff like this that makes me sad we have to settle for what we're getting next month.
I mean, imagine they "remade" Battlefront (with aspects of BF2) like this... it would be a swan song; a love letter to fans; the magnum opus of the series. The game looks and feels like Star Wars.
Instead we get the EA-ified version of something that could've been spectacular.
How does the list of blasters make you sad?
Because the blasters look fucking awesome.

But since it's already in a weird limbo state it doesn't really need to be fixed, just ignored when convenient. It didn't become canonish until Peace Walker was already in the works/done. And I expected him and naomi to show up because I could've sworn she mentions meeting BB on a codec in MGS1 towards the end. Yeah but she's a minor character that isn't really integral to Big Boss's story.

That's why it's all OT content, because that's where the new movie is springboarding from. I don't buy that at all, tbh. It seems more like time constraints and the game being tushed. How many years ago was the game announced? 2? I'd wager the game has been in development for just under a year and a half. Obviously conjecture but w/e. As for cutting space battles and Galactic Conquest, I don't have an explanation for the why. The fact of the matter is that the absence of those is a negative in relation to BF2, not this game of itself in terms of launch content. They haven't technically been cut, they've been replaced; whether survival and a series of co-op missions with AI is equivalent or not comes down to individual opinion. I don't see it happening tbh. But I'll wait to see some reviews and stuff. What's the expanation for no story mode tho?

Why are these emotes randomly more expensive than every other one when they are all cosmetic? They want to make more money plain and simple. Even the shills over at Planet Destiny are pissed off by this. This is the fucking shit that irks me, and why I'm so adamantly against these publishers. It's why I play their expansions illegally. They have different tiers of emotes, and the Legendaries cost more. They knew which ones would be more popular, and made those ones just expensive enough to necessitate a $5 purchase.

The two emotes everyone wants are conveniently more expensive than the silver they give you Well, the carlton was definitely what I had my eye on. What's even worse is that you're only 100 silver off -- but you need to pay $5 instead of $1 for that extra 100 because that's the least amount you can buy as a bundle. It's fucking mental.

I'll just post what I posted in there: Most* of this would be justifiable and, in my opinion, encouraged if Bungie opted to use the funds to deliver the next Vex expansion and the Forge of Gods expansion for free.
But that needs to be confirmed first, and until such a time, should necessitate beration against Bungie until we get an answer or a fix.
*The Heuristic, Indomitable and Valourous Light all need to go. Everything else is simply a way for people left behind to catch up, and will not benefit low-end players unfairly against high-end players

It does look and feel like Star Wars, it's just that there's a perceived empty spot where old game modes have been cut out. It just doesn't make any sense to cut everything based on the prequels, Galactic Conquest, story mode, and IIRC other things that are essentially staples of the franchise. The most rational way I can make sense of this is that they want to cash in on the hype for Episode VII.

Isn't declaring PO non canon enough to fix it? Portable Ops is still canon, though. There are just parts of the game that... aren't. Tbh I thought MGSV was going to utilise that but they never did. I thought Jaeger would surely show up at some point.

Star Wars 7 is going to be so disappointing because there's no reason to think it'll be especially good but there's no way it'll be as bad as Lucas.
This. I try to explain this to people and they're like "Nah, JJ the real chosen one."
To be fair, he's emphasizing aspects of the original trilogy that made it great. Practical effects, real costumes, and so on.
I agree. That's why I'm excited.
