Anyways, here are my thoughts. Just beat the game like 10 minutes ago so wait a bit for the full, coherent review.
This game fucking sucked. I'm not trying to hate on the game, but goddamn, it is bad. Not over(under?)selling it, it's probably the worst Halo to date so far. Fan-fiction story, poor voice acting, TERRIBLE dialogue, uninteresting and generic characters, and boring level design all just leave a taste of disgust and want for something a little more substantial. Nothing even happens over the course of this game. It's like Spartan Ops -- go here, shoot this, listen to dialogue. Repeat. Blue team's missions were a bit better, but Osiris missions were GOD AWFUL. I hated every single one of Osiris team's members. Even Buck. They ruined Buck. "Hey, maybe you should use those turrets!". Just shut the fuck UP, Buck. Tanaka and Vale are both shamelessly generic and should die. Locke is shit but he annoyed me the least. Blue team was better in the sense that they didn't annoy you as much. Fred had some cringe-worthy lines ("We'll follow you, brother." Easy there, Liquid). Linda barely talked. Kelly was the most interesting, mostly because her accent felt really unique in a game that's oversaturated with HaloFollower-tier autism. On a positive note, Chief feels like an extension of himself from the books, particularly when he notices how Cortana is trying to play off his emotions in the mission before he gets put to sleep. Can't remember the exact line, but it feels like Chief is starting to become a stronger character. Cortana is whatever. Same generic bullshit that I keep harping on. Warden Eternal was okay but underutilised. Exuberant Witness is far and away the best character in this game (and possibly all the games). Which doesn't say much, but it's worth noting. The music was pretty good, but I often felt like it kept dickriding the main themes of the other games. Sounds were great. Graphics were pretty awesome, especially with Locke. He felt real to me. The gameplay has never been this good. But yeah, that's pretty much it. I reserve the right to change my assessment in the future, but as of now, it's the worst Halo I've ever played. Warzone is also complete ass. If I wanted to play Destiny, I'd play Destiny. The Arena multiplayer is actually really fucking fun. though. Best it's been since Halo 1. Very little aim assist, and all the new abilities feel really good. Probably has something to do with the pro-team and the beta. 12305

It's going to be a sleeper hit. There are people who LOVE Ratchet and Clank that don't even know this is a thing.
The movie looks like trash, though. 12312

Some people, for whatever reason, find that unfathomable. Ah, so it is economically where we differ. See, in an ideal society, we wouldn't need the government to help the less fortunate. But we don't live in an ideal society. To ignore those suffering in our society is simply something I cannot do, all loopholes and freeloaders accounted for. Quote Libertarians are too socially liberal for Republicans and too economically conservative for the Democrats. You'd like the old NDP in Canada, I think. 12322

The only thing I draw "issue" with (I wouldn't even call it that), is the whole privacy shtick. But that's becauae I find the concept silly. Quote However I suppose I mean to word that as "basic personal freedom" meaning you should be able to do whatever you want as long as its not infringing upon another person's rights. You'd be surprised how many people don't seem to care about this. That's pretty much my position. So then why does everyone have an issue with your Libertarianism? It all seems pretty reasonable to me. 12323

I'm pretty sure English is Romantic, just like French, English, Spanish, etc. Based on Latin, not Greek (which is what German was based off of IIRC). |
