People like you a shining ray of hope for our gaming generation.

Which is funny you say that considering how little I actually like games.

BUT AT LEAST I'M NOT SELLING MY SELF TO THE EVIL JAPS

In all seriousness though, when MGSV came out and we came to a consensus, I was the toughest on criticising Kojima. I said things like incompetent director or poor management credentials, etc.

It's one thing to love a franchise -- it's another to blindly accept its faults with critical thought.

And I particularly enjoy the intros with him dressed up as characters with Other Joe and tries to reenact things that happen in the game. His Rambo, Ride to Hell, and Godzilla reviews are hilarious.

I used to find them really boring or cringey but I've come to find them endearing.

And yeah, his Ride to Hell review had me in tears at several parts.

ALBW is a 3D Zelda btw. On 3DS. Sequel to A Link To The Past.

Ah, okay

i was specifically talking about console 3D games anyways.

Nah, they're pretty much equal minus the experience and training the S2's have.

That's what I have been lead to believe.

See, Deathstroke? It's not unreasonable to expect some sort of confrontation between these two "equals".

I agree with many of the criticisms against Joe, don't get me wrong.

It's just that LC is so adamantly against this guy like he fucked his wife while wearing his Corporate Commander outfit and laughing like an a deranged racoon.

And I mean at the end of the day, clearly Joe isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. He's just a guy you play video games with. I'd probably be friends with him IRL tbh.

Don't bother. For some reason LC has this terrible bias against AJ. How someone could harbour such disgust for a random person making video game reviews on the internet is beyond me.
If I'm going to waste my time talking with idiots that aren't likely to change their opinion about things at all, or until well after the argument, they might as well be someone other than myself.

Haha, fair enough.

But still, how would a spartan IV beat a spartan II, I didn't need a boss fight because I know that Master Chief will kick Lockes ass.

S4s and S2s are mostly equals. Hence why the gameplay stays consistent regardless of which team you're playing on.

I mean, the fight ended in a near draw between the two. Locke literally had a pistol locked on Chief.

Even if the canon somehow details how wrong I am, the entire game leads you to believe that these two protagonists are on even grounds.

Twilight Princess got rave reviews and fans loved it though.

Oh well. A Zelda game that isn't WW/OoT/MM-tier isn't worth the description of "good", IMO. Specifically MM all things considered.

I can't believe I have to deal with your spergy personality on mobile ffs.

sorely lacking.

Uhhh how so, all you had to do was know who blue team is, read escalation (Halo Canon has the full escalation on his channel so that's not a big deal), and watch the "Hunt THE truth" audio vid(Halo Canon and Halo Follower has this on there channels, again not a big deal), also this game has a lot of data pads on this game, so it shouldn't be hard to collect all of them, it gives you additional info. The only plot hole i would say is when Jul is with Halsey, why they were together after Hasley betraying Jul on Escalation 23 is beyond me.

Oh, if that's all you have to do, no worries, right? RIGHT?

/sarcasm

You completely misunderstood what the HELL I meant by "thematic and narrative quality" both of which have NOTHING to do with canon, characters or plot consistency with the rest of the franchise. It refers to dialogue, cinematography, plot direction, acting, etc. All the things people have a hard time quanitfying.

Except for the people who read "Fall of Reach" would know that chief was there at the time, besides why should Halo games suck Master Chiefs dick anyway. Don't get me wrong I like hime but Halo games like Halo Wars, ODST, Reach, and Halo 5 (Lock having 12 missions and Chief with 3 mission) proves that you don't have to focus too much on Master Chief and still have a great story. Main reason why Master Chief fanboys needs to get off his ass and see that you don't need Master Chief to tell a great story.

Oh my god shut up. I mean I don't want to be rude but if you could just not be a retard that'd be great.

See, guys? This is what you are. When this guy shares your opinion, maybe you should give your head a shake.

Legend of Zelda (my understanding is that they are getting progressively worse and worse)
Your understand is kinda wrong, considering the last one released (Link Between Worlds) got rave reviews.

Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword are shit. I've never heard of a Link between Worlds but I assume it's not a full-blown 3D Zelda like OoT and Majora's Mask?

If so, I'm strictly speaking of 3D Zelda games, following the pattern of OoT, MM, WW, TP and SS, to which the last two were most definitely the worst in the series.

This new one on the NX looks amazing, though. I'm buying an NX just for it (probably).

"Master Chief Boss Battle"

I'm done with this moron, his channel has really gone down the toilet, fucking idiot, a Spartan II vs a SPARTAN FUCKING IV?!?!!??!!?!?!

Is it really that fucking complex of a concept to expect a boss fight between the two characters that have been advertised to be at odds with each other for the last year or so?

This is why you shouldn't watch trailers like me, people.

Hype = higher scores. It's exactly why mgsv received 10/10's out the ass. The hype made the reviewers so giddy that they didn't even think about the incoherent story, repetitive missions, and bullshit micro transactions when they rated the game, and if they did, it had little-no impact on the score.

Halo 5 is literally getting the same treatment, except in MGSV's case, there is a legitimately good game underneath its story.

So... what's your argument now?

Gaming / Re: Halo 5 mega thread

Also this is one of the most cringe worthy reviews I had ever seen, Joe doesn't know shit about the Halo universe.

This is not a valid complaint. One does not need to be a Halo expert to understand thematic or narrative quality, both of which Halo 5 is sorely lacking.

As for Reach? I'm pretty sure that game doesn't feauture Master Chief on the box art. So yet again, another stupid argument.

Also going to point out that Joe says "If you do good you'll get maybe 900 points per match". I guess Joe's definition of doing good is a .2 k/d because that's what shows up in the background. A normal warzone round for me nets about 2k req points.
Players that are pulling in 1k/2k a match will still need to clock in 400 odd hours required to complete every cosmetic. Joe explicitly takes a caveat to his playing ability and the capacity to earn req points later in the video. The system is deliberately implemented to have you spend more money than required, which was his entire point. It's predatory, and it's bullshit.

I'm not sure why you come crashing into these threads unapologetically slogging the corporate phallus and their bullshit business practices. I've seen you do it for Battlefront, and it's honestly just laughable. I wouldn't be surprised if EA kept you on their payroll.

But go ahead and continue to hand wave off legitimate grievances with "hurr he's just a bumbling retard that has no idea how the industry works" if you actually want to continue reciprocating the standards that us as consumers shouldn't have to put up with.

Preach it, brother.

Angry Joe gave mgs V a 9 (and said he was very close to giving it a 10) despite stating that it had an incomplete story (which is huge for mgs), and repetitive mission design.

That's because MGSV is a better game.

Quote
and while campaign didn't blow me away, its still incredibly enjoyable.

Then you are blind. This campaign is easily one of the worst -- all of my anti-Halo bias aside.

Quote
Instead of focusing on what matters in a shooter, Joe focuses on req packs for 15 minutes and (from my gameplay experience) falsely calculates the amount of time needed to earn a gold pack.

I've heard that it is a pretty accurate calculation, but I don't have any means to back that up.

The "omg we need to save gaming" mentality that many youtubers and reviewers have is starting to get a bit annoying, not because they are wrong, but because they go into every game with predetermined review scores based on hype, popularity, and whether or not the developer has gamer cred.

>hype means lower score

MGSV gets a 9, is more hyped than H5

>popularity

Not relevant.

>Gamer cred

What the fuck?

Sure some reviewers may do that (IGN), but c'mon. If Joe was going to be a fake he would have done more shady shit a long time ago. I didn't go into Halo 5 with a predetermined rating, but this game was absolute trash, even by Halo standards.

Don't be mad because your franchise shit the bed this time around.

>he thinks that 343 developed the MCC

So you expect us to absolve 343i of any major fault in the MCC's launch when they reaped all the benefits of the launch by putting their name on it.

If they weren't ready for the backlash the launch would inevitably bring they wouldn't have taken the credit for the creation of the MCC.

Not really, with the amount of mobility and speed in halo 5 it would actually give you enough time to react. As it stands the radar ends up being a distraction due to the fact that by the time someone is on your radar they're likely already punching you in the face.

I feel like 343 tried the longer range radar somewhere in development and decided it didn't work. That's why I hesitate to agree with you. But like I said, I think it need to be increased a tad.

Radar needs to be put back to 25 it's absolutely worthless as is.

I thought this too but I think 25 is too much. It would remove the element of surprise.

It does need to be increased just a bit, though.

"These Guardians can police an entire solar system"

Can't even kill a few Spartans

I fail to see how governing an entire solar system is even that big of a threat. Humanity at this point IIRC is spread across the galaxy. Ooh, you can destroy 25~ solar systems if we say no.

What are the odds that Halo 6 starts with Chief responding to Halsey with "Kept you waiting, huh?"

The last line in the game is basically "What took you so long?"

And Catherine only has one arm, just like Kaz.

The plot thickens...
