The arena is a blast. Reminds me a lot of Halo 1. Why BR starts aren't the the regular I'll never understand. For a game that wants to be competitive so bad it forces its players to spend the first 20 seconds of each life sprinting for that one BR.

The worst part of Spops was Palmer. Everything else was pretty cool.
Cutscenes were superb and the interaction with the S4's and Halsey was great.

Yeah, the campaign indeed was. Wasn't the best though. I struggle to call any Campaign for Halo "the best" because they're all painfully mediocre in their narratives. If I had to, it'd be Halo 4. But I appreciate Reach for its Campaign's gameplay. New Alexandria and Tip of the Spear are awesome missions. Had more fun playing CE and 2. Definitely. At least in multiplayer. Both campaigns are really boring (though I haven't played H2A.)

Which part? The entire part. In Halo 4, the modest opening to the Reclaimer saga, felt like the beginning of a new direction for Halo. But with Guardians it feels like they got a new writer and he said "Fuck all of y'all, I write comics 'n shit." And changed everything. Like, everything that happened in Spartan Ops is thrown out the window, Cortana's death is made irrelevant within 2 missions... Jut feels like a drastic step in a different direction (ironically, the direction is the same that Bungie's Halo was going in.)

Shitty story? That's a debate, for me i thought the story was good. Then clearly you don't understand what good is. Lucky for us, the story is not so complex that you gain respect for it as time goes on -- you can judge it as soon as you watch it unfold, to which I judge: Halo 3-tier. Meaning it is trash. The multiplayer is where the bulk of the development went, it seems. Which is by no means a bad thing, I've been wanting a skillful shooter to play for a long while.

A rookie (Osiris Team) vs Someone who has experience (Blue Team), I just don't see how Locke can take on someone like Master Chief. Team Osiris is anything but "rookie" status. It's established very early on that all the members are highly skilled or experienced -- Locke in particular has a pretty long record.

For me I just care about Halo having a great story. You and everyone else, bud. This is the problem, though: Almost everyone, save Roman, would be okay if Master Chief wasn't the main character so long as we got a great story instead. But we didn't. We got a shitty story, AND we only got to play as Chief for 3 missions.
