MGSV is not nearly as bad as MGS4.

Yes, MGS3 over MGS2. Just because MGS2 has dank references about the internet and predicting it a bit, that doesn't stop it from the fanfictional writing fest Kojima did. MGS 3 was much more of a masterpiece.

In all honesty, MGS2 is only notable for it's meta-narrative. At it's worst, the game is not bad, it's just... not ideal (see: Raiden's characterisation and design, cutscenes and dialogue, fixed camera). At it's best, it's good -- superb, even (see: narrative complexity, attention to detail, thematic and artistic integrity). The problem is, Snake Eater does all of the good with none (or little) of the bad. That's what gives it the edge.

It's still in the top 3, IMO, but Snake Eater is nearly perfect as an experience. The word I use to describe it is "graceful".

but as long as the millions of other Christians distance themselves from the group, they're still clearly different from the rest.

But considering many Mulims don't distance themselves from ISIS, there needs to be distinction.

I'm pretty sure I don't have to pull up the stats on European Muslim's opinions.

idk what you want

More.

It would be ideal to see the "moderate" Muslim community condemn and ostracise these animals in a singular movement. But we won't, because even if most Muslims wouldn't stone a homosexual, they realise that it's not against their religion to do so.

Demanding a reformation is as nonsensical as demanding that American Christians reform their religion because of the KKK and WBC.

Except both of those groups have distanced themselves from other Christians, calling themselves the 'KKK' and 'WBC'. That's called distancing.

Ugh, my feed is filling up with shit like "the terrorists want you to hate moderate Muslims" and "we need to coexist or the terrorists win".

Man, fuck these people.
Well, they're not wrong. It is what these terrorists want. They want to create a divide and an "us versus them" mentality between muslims and the rest of the world. They want a violent kneejerk reaction against moderate muslims so that they will turn away from the West and join them.

If you're a Muslim and your reaction to the world hating Islam is to join ISIS, something's wrong with you.

Call for a fucking reformation or something. Show us clearly you don't condone these actions.

He has nothing to lose - he barely registered in numerous polls, and I think his peak is 7%. Like I said, he is riding Sander's coattails

He's doing it better than Sanders tho

Sanders' opening statement talked about Paris once and then shilled for 'muh 1%'. He thinks climate change is more dangerous than isis, which is just... what...

Tonight should be about foreign policy and I feel like OMalley is the strongest in that regard.

They expect it to further radicalize the Muslim population and fuel extremist groups.

And then what? To my knowledge, the U.S. + it's allies versus ISIS would be a shit-show. We'd win -- easily. 'Fueling more extremists groups' wouldn't seem to work as well if we're absolutely decimating their forces...

Unless I'm misunderstanding the situation.

They would essentially become martyrs to their cause and possibly inspire more extremist groups.

So their end-game is to anger us to kill them so they can meet their God a few decades sooner? Do they expect (and want) to lose this war?

They want to draw us into a war. They'll likely succeed in the future.

Why? What do they stand to gain from going to war with the rest of the world? Would the modern world not curb-stomp these fuckers?

What are actual, good sources of information on the debate between whether or not Islam is more violent than other religions?

Challening the 'Religion of Peace'

This has loads of info. 20% of British Muslims support the 7/7 bombings. 1 out of 4 British Muslims said the bombings were 'justified'. 16% of young Belgian Muslims say terrorism is 'acceptable'.
