The Flood / Re: How Is Verbatim A Vegan?
« on: December 08, 2015, 07:38:35 PM »
We're never satisfied until we get perfection, which we'll never be able to achieve.

Amen, brother. I don't see the problem. If you recognise eternal bliss as the futile endeavor it is, how can you justify forcing others into this useless existence?

And there are people far more intelligent than all of us. They all disagree with this ridiculous religion of yours.

Just because people are smarter than I, I'm supposed to bow down and let them think for me? Isn't that an appeal to... something?

Regardless, Galileo was smarter than anyone here, yet he believed in a God. Why don't you? He's smarter than you, surely.

The majority of people thus far have believed that the most logical path in existence is to build a better future so that future generations will have more, have a better life, and be able to build an even better life for their next generation until bliss is reached.

Okay, but because of our stupid biology, we're designed to have a happiness ceiling. We're never going to live in eternal bliss -- it's not in our nature.

Fuck nature.

All of people have never agreed on anything, it's a ginormous leap to assume they would, and especially about such an unpopular belief.

I think that's a somewhat ridiculous statement. Yeah, there are contrarians, but it's safe to assume that most people in this world don't believe that blacks are sub-human, for example.

Yes. Considering less than 1% of humans follow your ideology.

Yeah, because the human race is just an absolute exemplar of intellectual stimulation.

We're not exactly the "collective of greater intelligence" I suggested.

Look, this mindset you guys have is poisonous. We're at where we're at because we keep going. We have comfort we have now we didn't have back a thousand years ago, let alone further back.

I'm sure you're familiar with the hedonic treadmill? Humans are always going to resort to their base level of dissatisfaction, regardless of how good their life is. We're literally designed to never become satisfied.

Yes, yes it is.

What is? The difficulty of comprehension or my scenario being "out there"?

LOL

I mean, is it really so difficult to comprehend that a collective of greater intelligence could come to the consensus that life is both an imposition and shit much quicker than us?

I know it's out there, but w/e.

But if anti-natalism is completely rational, then anything smarter than  us must have chosen not to exist!

right!

Um... Yes...? Especially considering we've yet to encounter a species of greater intelligence than us.

It's your typical 3D collect-a-thon  platformer but, I highly recommend you trying it, dude it has boomerangs
BOOMERANGS

It'll be refreshing to play a classic and simple platformer again. I seriously cannot wait for Yooka-Laylee.

Bullshit.

see, i wish more people could be honest like you about it

Pretty much everyone I've talked to IRL agrees that it's a pretty shit thing to do, but they can't seem to stop. It's only on the internet that people get ballsy about this shit.

Once we start making bigger jumps in synthetic meat and dairy product quality is when we'll see a surge of vegans running amok, IMO.

Meat was not even hard to give up.

Dairy is what fucking killed me. Luckily, I got passed that part in just short of 3 months and now everything is hunky-dory.

I can't help but notice that Metroid Prime 1 and 2 are not on your list in the OP
THIS

The Metroid series does not interest me. I like Samus (as to my knowledge, she wasn't initial a sex object like she is now), but I don't know anything about the series.

also Chibi Robo

Some people can't handle life, and considering how shit life is, I don't blame them for seeking escape -- whether that be drugs, alcohol, fiction, whatever.

I mean, I'd rather experience things the way we were supposed to (sober), but that's just me.

You mean were a British Colony.

The US was at one point too.

Less than 50 years ago, we had to report everything to Britain.

The Queen still sits at the top of our government officially, though.

NIGGA! This was like a 1-2 year/s ago.

Yeah, but GameCube's go for like $200 brand-new. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Didn't you emulate a few MGS games?

I own every MGS game, though.

You even told me to emulate some MGS games before I started playing them.

I wasn't being serious. I just don't like emulating as much anymore. There's something missing in comparison to playing the actual games.

Can't beat the purple. You could always just use an emulator, too.

Emulation is literally worse than the Holocaust.
