Well he's not saying, "We should keep bodies normal because it's natural", which would be a fallacy. He's saying "We should keep bodies normal because of the negative effects of not doing that that I have been able to demonstrate." At least, that's what I'm saying. 11193

You're essentially saying that the human body should not be tampered with because they have to look "normal." Feels like a bit of a stretch, tbh. It's an interesting thought no doubt, and the most creative response I've seen thus far, but while something being "natural" obviously doesn't make it "good", it also doesn't make it "bad." Like homosexuality -- it's "natural", but it's not wrong because of that. Making a character's body natural (i.e., untampered with, or realistic) is not wrong. Especially considering that making said character's body unnatural (eg., legs for days) is done with the sole intention of selling copies. You need to demonstrate how something is wrong for it to be wrong. Which we have done here. 11196

Gaming / Re: Okay, I'm not actually "done" (but I still hate the fuck out of Bayonetta)« on: December 16, 2015, 12:22:10 PM »It's a terrible analogy and makes no sense. I fail to see how. My mistake was the definition of "analogy", not that I had a flawed comparison. Feel free to demonstrate how it doesn't make sense when "innocence" = "being right" and "guilt" = "being wrong". I think (just like every rational person on earth) I'm right until I'm proven wrong, just like I'm innocent until proven guilty. Quote People can make whatever character they like. If they want to make a slutty ninja character that barely wears clothes, more power to them. I'm not saying people can't make a character like that. I'm saying they shouldn't. 11198

Okay, it's an analogy. I was under the impression that analogy was just a complex comparison but I guess not. Need to turn my brain on today.
It works perfectly fine as an analogy. It follows the same thread of logic. Innocence=being right, guilt=being wrong. Innocent until proven guilty. Sexuality is unnecessary, but as long as it's handled with grace and proper justification it's passable. Bayonetta is neither, and it's a problem. 11199
Gaming / Re: I'm done.« on: December 16, 2015, 09:28:04 AM »Your analogy is fucking retarded, and the opposite of how the legal system works. It wasn't an analogy, it was a comparison. In the same way that the legal system views guilt, I view being wrong. Not wrong until proven otherwise. Quote If anything, YOU and Verbatim are on trial. And you've been found guilty. Of being right. 11200

Women in general don't seem to give a shit about the game. Most people don't care about games, you expect women to give a shit about an industry that's historically catered to the opposite gender in the most pandering way possible? If this was the film industry, people would get pisses off. But because it's the game industry, it doesn't matter to most people because "lol video games". 11213
