jak x is better
i was going to gibe at this post for even entertaining such an idea, but then i looked the game up and discovered that it was actually quite well received
why, i thought it sucked
its really fun
idk naughty dog really excells at racing games if nothing else
the driving itself is like a MUCH faster crash team racing in that it still relies on drifting for boosts, so it retains that satisfying feeling plus it adds a pretty deep weapons system and an awesome industrial rock soundtrack
hmm, maybe i should give it another try
i only played it once, knowing you could play as ratchet, but i don't know if it's because i picked a shitty vehicle or something, or if they intentionally made ratchet shitty as a joke, but the driving just felt really stiff to me
i also had a pretty scratched-up disc so idk maybe that made it play shittier or something
i mean, it's not a cart racer so the vehicles aren't going to handle the same way but there are upgrades for each vehicle you're supposed to get through the story mode that help alleviate that weird feeling idk i didn't like it much either growing up but i'm really having fun with it replaying on the ps4. in mario kart it feels like you're punished for being in first but in jak x there's only one "cheap" item that kills you instantly, you actually have defenses and maneouvers to combat those items

You can really see the specific animator influence in my work. The hair and muscles are all Shida (and arguably the eyes, too) but the shading is 100% Takahashi. I've focused on recreating the eyes from Shida's uncorrected work in moive 8 to a reasonable degree.

i don't get to decide people's names or usernames on literally anything else, so
it's sort of like how on discord you're assigned a number that you can't change (unless you pay for nitro or whatever) but yeah people use nicknames and stuff like that but i always feel a little juvenile not using a person's real name

yeah and i'm mocking that, because i think it's really silly, especially when people try to act all elitist about it
but its not "really silly" a middle aged man with a genetic predisposition to heart problems has an obligation to prolong his life (and foster a functional psychological position) in order to provide for his family until such a point where they can do it themselves a philanthropic person could conceivably want to live longer in order to help more people and there are good reasons for it even beyond prolonging life people with unhealthy dieting habits increase economic strain on society at large a depressed person could want to "reset" their brain's chemical creation process a recovering addict could be trying to find a healthy substitution for their addiction someone with low self esteem could acquire more self worth by proving himself a physically capable person in the gym through competitions either way i dont think its prudent to treat elitism with more elitism

It doesn't even have to be about prolonging it. Just improving quality of day to day life.
either way i think the goal here should be comvincing him that there are people who could conceivably see being healthy as worthwhile, even if he doesn't.
