I'll try and place my avatar link from imgur into the profile pic section, and it will revert to the "use no avatar" option (unless I try uploading a pic and then using the link, it'll revert back to the upload option).
What gives?

I received some big news today. I would rather not get into the details but essentially I've been given an opportunity to set myself up financially for life. It would eat up all my time in the near future, but that dedication now could almost assuredly give me all the time in the world later on in my life to do as I please.
On the other hand I could maintain my current job and put myself through school that could eventually lead to something I genuinely want to do. Something that fulfills me and gives me purpose. Something I wouldn't likely get in the other scenario for at least 10 years.
It's a choice between large amounts of money that almost guarantee security versus potential financial instability but creative freedom and fulfillment.
I'm not necessarily asking for advice, I'm just interested in people's thoughts on the situation. I already know what I'm going to do.

Loch Ness Monster, Big Foot, Chupacabra, etc.
I would really like to believe in some of the cooler ones (Mothman, Michigan Dogman, aliens) but I don't think I do.

It's been several days since my last full meal. I can't remember what it was. Probably pizza. 10AM, today. Drove to get a cold beverage from the fast food place. Came home, did some stuff. 10 PM now. Haven't eaten anything more than a slice of bread at 3 PM. And that was because my sister offered it to me when she got home, not because I was hungry. This has been going on for several months. According to my doctor, I'm perfectly healthy. Hunger is no longer a ringing sensation in my stomach, but a virtual sticky note on the back of my brain.
I'm the dragon warrior, surviving on nothing but the dew of a single ginko leaf and the energy of the universe.

Boruto, Shikamaru, and Choji are joining the roster of Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker! For the first time in the Naruto series, the Avatar System is available! You will be able to customize your own ninja with different outfits. To become the strongest one, you will need to master your techniques and unleash different skills to win the fight in the Ninja League, the main battle mode in 4 vs 4. Create your own Naruto custom character. Pick from four different sub-classes and learn to master your mentor's moves. Compete in 4-on-4 matches including capture the flag and what appears to be some sort of Domination variant. Basically, Xenoverse but with Naruto. Konohagakure functions the same as Conton City, with various mentors around to teach their signature jutsu. My biggest complaint with XV was the character creation, but honestly I'm thrilled with what I've seen so far. The hair styles all look on-point. Examples: Sub-classes include: Attack - Close-ranged, likely taijutsu/physical ninjutsu based. Ranged - Exactly what it sounds like. Long-ranged ninjutsu (and hopefully genjutsu) user. Defensive - Yaminaka-types. Focused on strong defences rather than hard offense. Healer - Medical ninjas like Sakura. Hopefully they find a way to incorporate all kinds of jutsu into each class so that it doesn't feel too limiting. Kakashi is a mostly close-range character but his Kamui could be considered a long-range attack. Same with Sasuke's fireball jutsu. Personally looking forward to a long-ranged, genjutsu type character. Confirmed platforsm are PS4, X1 and PC. I'll likely be getting it on PS4 because that's where my friends are. Alright guys if you're interested in this let me know in the comment section below as always appreciate the support hit me up on twitter if you wanna stay informed on all things Naruto thanks again see you next time

Seems to be a retelling of the very first episode of the anime, or perhaps a follow up to the Ho-oh spotting. Either way, it's coming to theatres, so gotta show my support for this kind of thing. Where were you when Ash first met Pikachu? Journey back to where it all began in Pokémon the Movie: I Choose You!, coming soon to a theater near you. Visit our official site for more details on how can preorder tickets—you won't want to miss this exciting theatrical event!

Overall I think Shippuden really falls flat in its ending. Everything from 1 to 400 really feels fine in terms of pacing if you skip the filler, and there aren't many flashbacks in the canon episodes I watched. But just after the dub ends*, and the sub picks up (403) they start mixing the flashbacks into the episodes. I swear, I've seen the Kakashi/Obito split face images 3000 times.
On top of that, the Kaguya storyline didn't really do much for me. Neither did the Sasuke Vs. Naruto fight at the end. When Sasuke declared he wanted to become Hokage, I got amped, because I thought maybe his character had finally grown a bit. But it turned out he was just changing the definition of Hokage and basically continuing what he was always trying to do. I now know why he is the worst character in anything, ever.
I skipped the Sunrise and Shikamaru storylines originally but I'm going through them now. I also plan on watching some of the "important" filler, like the Jiraiyah story and Itachi story. Just seems interesting to me.
Since I also subscribed to Crunchyroll I got access to Boruto, which I got caught up with. Epsideo 23 just aired, and it finishes the manga story arc dealing with Sarada's parentage. Pretty well done, I enjoyed it. I know the manga retells the story of the Boruto movie, at their chunin exams, but I'm fine with the anime taking its time catching up. It's pretty good for the most part. Boruto himself isn't quite as autistic as Naruto was (but I still find both to be enjoyable characters). That opening scene really sets the stage for where the series is going. There've only been 3 filler episodes so far, too.
Things left for me to finish watching:
The Last: Naruto Movie Itachi's Story Sasuke's Story Shikamaru's Story Jiraiyah's Story
But overall, it's been a wild ride and I'm glad to say I'm finally finished. Probably my new favourite anime, despite only watching 2 in my whole life. I think next will be Full Metal Alchemist or Bleach.
*turns out, the dub wasn't "dropped", it's just taking forever to be released. 402 is the last dubbed episode, but 403-417 is coming out in December IIRC.

Someone just woke me up. I don't why, or by who, or why I was put under, but suddenly, I'm in the cockpit of a fighter jet of some kind, and I'm in free fall. My instincts take over, and I somehow manage to curb the descent into a simple glide with a flick of a few switches. With the pressure relieved, I begin to figure out why my vehicle is off. I couldn't explain to you the little intricacies of a fighter jet's mechanics, but unlike my current method of transportation, I'm working in autopilot. Eventually I get it started. As I'm gliding throught he skies, I can see the terrain beneath me. It's a mountain range, but there's lots of green and brown colours, indicating a losing battle for the vegetation. Houses litter the landscape, ranging from red, two-stories, to yellow bungalows. There are no paved roads, only dirt paths worn from years of migration. As I begin to piece together my situation -- where I am, what year it is, what I'm doing -- a persistent beeping begins from my heads up display. Looking behind me I see several similar looking aircrafts following in pursuit. For some reason, I know they're not friendly. Again, my insticts take over. It's almost as if I'm watching someone else control my movements, just along for the ride. With a learned turn of the joystick, my plane barrels into a controlled downward spiral. 3 tail me, another two planes maintain their altitude to watch from a distance. I don't know how I knew this, but my craft was simply better than theirs. It must have been a new model, vastly superior, because I could easily recycle the air between my wings, changing my direction and speed on a dime. Whereas they were mostly what you'd see in a WW2 battle scene. I pop on the breaks and fall behind the 3, easily taking them down with a few trigger pulls. It was a blur, and I don't remember the details. I just knew that I was impressed, as an outsider, watching. The other two leave after their comrades began plummeting in a group of fireballs towards the ground. I lower my altitude and hover 15 feet from the ground, moving 200 hundred kilometers an hour. Eventually I stop and get out. It's an estate with a 3 story red building and a garage. Deserted. The windows are cracked and the doors are wide open. I manage to find a bag and with it with supplies. Whatever I can find, which isn't much. A pistol, a half empty bottle of water, a baseball cap. I get back in the jet, and continue on my way. 20 minutes later after looting several houses, something catches my eye: it's a billboard with someone I recognise on it. A girl, someone that meant a lot to me. I don't know how I knew that. But she's framed in the same way Marilyn Manson was in this, though she was wearing a white shirt. I completely stop the vehicle, and get out. Beside it, there's a small yellow bungalow lifted 10 feet off the ground, as though it was attempting to avoid a flood. Unlike most of the houses, the windows were barracaded and the door was closed. But I don't really pay attention to that. I hop out of the craft and stare at the billboard, trying to piece together what little I remember. My mind goes blank again. Suddenly I'm in the same place I was before, but the door of the house is wide open, and the balcony is filled with a dozen worn-down looking people. An older gentlemen, no more than 55, stood behind the rest, mostly women and children. I'm being spoke to, but I tune it out, mostly paying attention to the people on the balcony. I eventually come to my senses and look to see who is speaking to me. It's the girl on the billboard. She's not wearing the shirt, but she's definitely the same person. My insides begin to pain, something I find strange. I couldn't even comprehend what she was saying to me. Or maybe I did, I just don't remember. Suddenly, a young man, a few years younger than me, perhaps, pulls the girl away from me. He stares meaningfully at her. It's evident that he cares quite a lot about her. He appears to be arguing with her, but I can't make out the words, or don't remember them. The pain continues to worsen. Time skips again. I get back in my fighter jet, and as the glass cockpit cover closes, she looks up at me, and me down at her. The kid puts his arm around her, and they walk back into the home. The scene is over.
Tell me. What do you think of this. What does it mean to you.

Can anyone recommend useful apps to help maintain your computer's performance? I'm not really talking about anitviruses or anything, I use the built-in Windows Defender and it works just fine. Just looking to make sure this new laptop continues to stay in tip-top shape. God knows it deserves it after its last owner.
FYI I also haven't fixed the keyboard/mouse issue. It's possible it just takes a few minutes after start up to work properly.

My brother decided to give me his old Razer laptop. He's notoriously shitty at taking care of his possessions but I wasn't about to turn down a $2000 gaming laptop, so I accepted it. However, upon start up, both the trackpad and keyboard didn't work. I plugged an external mouse into the USB port, and both the built-in keyboard and mouse started to work. The problem seems to pop-up after every restart/wake up.
Has anyone come across this before?

Every time I go for the close shave, my skin gets agitated and starts to flare up. It usually lasts a day or 2 before it settles down but by then I have to shave again. I try to avoid it for this reason and mostly just get by with my electric razor. That doesn't seem to agitate the skin but it also doesn't get close enough. Sometimes I want no facial hair at all and it's really annoying to have to deal with. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a special treatment or something I could use? Maybe my skin just has to get used to being agitated like that.

I'm at the Kakashi backstory 2 part episode.
Sasuke is much more likeable now.
Naruto surpassing Kakashi is so bullshit. It's like saying Master Roshi surpassed King Piccolo because he knew the mafuba.
I've skipped nearly all of the filler so far.
I have the less interesting parts playing on my second monitor while I'm doing other things so I'm making great pace.
