the pit is one of the most dangerous maps to pick ARs on.

"Muh opinionz"

Quote
map control is extremely hard to break because of the location of rockets/camo/ovies. and even with BRs, pit games often ended with less than 20 kills total.

holy fucking shit, did you play with autistic people?

Quote
it wasnt a good map for slayer at all.

You are objectively wrong in every way imaginable.

Quote
i cant speak for ce because ive never played

Scrub.

Quote
but in h3/reach/h4 you are absolutely beyond fucked if you have ar/magnum and the enemies have DMRs or BRs.

GIT GUD

Quote
reach is the worst offender honestly because the AR is such a weak piece of shit

lolwut. Have you even played Halo 3?

Quote
and the magnum cant begin to compare to the beyond retarded DMR in terms of pure power.

Git gud.

Quote
you tell me to play with friends more often as if you think i searched solo when i still played.

lol. your friends need to git gud too it seems. Halo 4 is one of the easiest Halo's to date.

Quote
to4 against a to4 in 50 high, or onyx, or whatever halo 4's pathetic excuse for a ranking system was,

>Halo 4
>Meaningful ranking system

Can't really use being paired with people better than you as an excuse. You're basically saying you need a crutch because you're not good enough to fight the enemy team with an AR and Pistol. While your at it, you should spawn with Rockets and full overshield to make it more fair too.

Quote
it's always extremely difficult to break map control against a coordinated team if you dont spawn with a mid range precision weapon.

Depends on the game/map and the skill level of your own team. A poor ranking system is more to blame, not you not spawning with a base weapon.

Quote
you dont just "get map control back." i think you have fundamentally misunderstood the nature of the game.

Yes you do. That's why it's called map control. You can gain or lose it. It's not the sandbox's fault the ranking system is broken/you're too scrub at the game to win.
my god, you're just as bad as all the idiots i used to make fun of in the h3/optimatch forums.
https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/games/halo-reach/xbox-360/service-records/players/oh%20typhlosion

those are my credentials. feel free to pick through my stats, compare them to yours, and try telling me to get good again. you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

I do.
Not as much as I used to.
Top, riven main.
Now that Riven's out of the meta I'm kinda boned.
riven's still ok. a lot of people are playing her mid since faker did it. she's good in soloQ if you know her well and dont bungle up your early game, that roaming power is quite ridiculous. and they buffed snowballing this preseason, so there's that, too.

and i hate to say this tackleberry, but if your kda is less than 1 in any of the halo games and you arent playing at the highest level of competition, you're absolute shit at the game.

depends on the map, and there are /very/ few maps which work better with AR starts.

IMO, the best map in Halo 3 for AR starts was The Pit. AR>BR on The Pit at all times for me.

and anyone with half a brain would have already either taken that ammo or kill you the second you pop your head out.

Quote
and suddenly you all spawn with an ar and a pistol. the hell can you do with those?

The Halo 3 pistol maybe. But if you're telling me you can't work with an Assault Rifle and a Pistol in Halo: CE/Reach/4/5  then you need to git gud.

Quote
you're forced to either crouch around hoping to catch someone with shitty awareness or you have to make a beeline for a br or carbine,

Git gud.
Quote
keeping ARs is never really a safe option, it only really works if you know 100% you're better than the other squad. see, halo is all about map control. coordinated teams in competitive play will absolutely shitstomp the enemy if they get the slightest advantage in an ARs gametype.

And A coordinated team can also make a comeback and roflstomp the other coordinated team. Play with friends more often, becuase terrible teamates will always exist in Halo. Giving them a BR on spawn doesn't make them better, and honestly seem kind of noob friendly.

Quote
and anyone with half a brain would have already either taken that ammo or kill you the second you pop your head out.

Anyone with half a brain can easily beat a BR/Carbine with a pistol and AR.

Sound like your mind is still stuck in the Halo 3 days, which I do admit BRs were somewhat better in certain circumstances, but coupled with the shit netcode, the BR was terrible.

Not interested in 'MOBAs'

Trying out Smite crossed my mind once but thats it.
smite's ok, but it has some of the same problems LoL does. its competitive scene is exploding, though. they have like a $2 million prize pool for their next tournament

who plays lol here? dont be shy. its the most popular game in the world. i know some of you play it. dont be afraid of the circlejerk. its safe here. whats your favorite champ? favorite game mode? do you play a lot of ranked? soloQ or teams? what champs do you hate? do you think riot is doing a good job with the game? do you follow the pro scene? who's your favorite pro team? will NA ever beat the koreans?

Played once. Game was less than lackluster. Paywalls out the ass, poor team coordination. Basically a P2W game if you don't want to spend hours of grinding so you can start enjoying the game.

2/10. Better story than Destiny.
im inclined to agree. ive been playing for two years and im still missing several rune pages/runes and over 20 champions. teams are never reliable. i only play because its hard and i hate being terrible at a game, so until i improve to the point where im happy i wont quit.

Campaign. Multiplayer still kinda meh, and when you find a game it's all try hards.

" OMG BRs ON LOCKOUT. QUICK MOM, GET THE CAMERA!!!!!!!!"

"Hey, there's CTF on Highground.... guys...? Guys...?" ( ._.)
ARs CTF on high ground is fucking retarded. too snowbally. and ordinarily, im not the kind of guy to complain about halo being unforgiving to bad players, but its game over the second one team gets map control with the warthogs and laser. beyond stupid. same with slayer ARs on any pseudo-big team map like sandtrap. if you know what you're doing it's a good idea to keep ARs on those maps, but most people run around like headless chickens so.

lol k
you think im wrong? id love to hear this.

Marill, would you honestly be surprised though?
not really. its not outlandish to presume some of the younger millenials arent really familiar with the beatles or paul mccartney's work after the beatles. its just kind of funny to me, the kneejerk reaction associated with kanye west. people like to hop on any opportunity to shit all over kanye or his fans.

You can't be small and a defensive tackle. How else are you gonna block and bring motherfuckers down?
defensive players dont block unless they recover a turnover but this is close enough to the truth

the people who seek to become leaders are often grossly unsuited to be leaders of men.
Yet they are the ones able to, and willing.

What if I were to teach people like you who don't want to lead, or don't know how to do it properly? You'd lead, and you'd lead with what you believe in. My goal is to get the right people to understand how to lead, so that they can lead, and not the wrong people who are able to.

Not really though, I'm just trying to learn this information by writing it down, and exploring it a bit on my own. Maybe it'll get stuck in my Semantic memory (also a word that I'm trying to learn).

Edit: All the while letting anyone tag along in my learning.
ive been through formal "leadership training" as a result of my involvement with AFJROTC when i was in high school. you cant teach leadership. some are naturally suited for it, most aren't. be very, very wary of anyone who seeks the power to lead men. that power corrupts.

Film and TV wise I can think of a few.

Futurama (they apparently have 3 endings, seeing as they were cancelled so damn often...), Breaking Bad, Trainspotting, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen (I should get around to reading the book too), Platoon, Grand Budapest Hotel, No Country for Old Men, Pulp Fiction... there's probably more but I can't remember more right now. Pretty much the film has to have a good ending for me to like it anyway, so most films I like fit here.

As for books, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, On the Road, and a few of Clive Cussler's books (some are just a bit too ridiculously happy an ending). 1984 though depressing an ending, it did it well that I wasn't unhappy, plus it left me thinking more about it afterwards which is a good sign for me.
there's only one real "ending" to futurama, to my knowledge, and that's the actual final episode

The ending of Blade Runner.
"I have… seen things you people wouldn't believe… Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those… moments… will be lost in time, like tears… in… rain. Time… to die…"
