its time to put up or shut up; post your stats here. there's little else that proves who's the best than raw statistics. i look forward to seeing the players who are actually talented step forward. the best stat aggregate site at the moment, to my knowledge, is waypoint, unfortunately. luckily they seem to have revamped their stat hosting so its better than its been in the past. if HTR or Halocharts are actually useful again, someone please tell me. i never played ce or h2 online, so im terrible at both of them. i did play a lot of h3 and reach, and a fair amount of h4 before i ragequit forever. ive become bored with fps so i dont play mcc, but here are my statlines from those games' multiplayers back in the 360 days. H3  Waypoint doesn't have up to date data for KD. 1.38 for ranked and 1.83 for social (that's bungie's old data, so it's not necessarily totally accurate anymore, though i didnt play h3 very much after they stopped tracking stats.) Reach  H4

Except ODST doesn't deserve any of the praise it gets apart from the soundtrack.
the odst campaign was fantastic. it wasnt a $60 game, but it was very very good for what it was.

Reach was unique, neither 4 or 2 can hold a candle to it. 3 is probably closest to CE in terms of how it plays, which I dislike in comparison to 2 and Reach

ARs CTF on high ground is fucking retarded. too snowbally. and ordinarily, im not the kind of guy to complain about halo being unforgiving to bad players, but its game over the second one team gets map control with the warthogs and laser. beyond stupid. same with slayer ARs on any pseudo-big team map like sandtrap. if you know what you're doing it's a good idea to keep ARs on those maps, but most people run around like headless chickens so.

Yeah. They're both terrible games for horribly implemented mechanics to attract a casual audience.
I'd say that those mechanics "broke" their game far worse than a BXR or a superbounce ever did.
im inclined to agree, actually. at least button combos were replicable in h2. it added depth to the combat and increased the skillcap. reach and h4 were just poorly realized pieces of crap.

H2 was pretty glitchy, and yet, I'd still call Reach and H4 more broken.
default reach was just very poorly executed. they were obviously trying to diverge from the classic formula, but all the new mechanics ended up being fucking retarded. bloom was a giant mistake, the grenades had wonky mechanics, armor abilities slowed the game down way too much, and most of the maps were terrible (not to mention the awful fps problems forge world had.) reach wasnt necessarily broken, it was just very clear that bungie didnt put much thought into any of the new mechanics. halo 4 is just a giant pile of dogshit.

Because CE is a good game with a good campaign that has a good consistent plot and story throughout the whole campaign, doesn't shit on already existing canon, doesn't have terribly written characters and doesn't consist of a brown and grey colour pallet.
The gameplay is a little dated, but it still plays well.
and its one of the most competitive fps games of all time (2v2/4v4 anyway.) ridiculous skillcap.
