I've been wanting to get into a good MMO but one without a subscription (Inb4 Desticles show up and try to tell me Repitition Simmulator 2014: Broken Netcode edition is an MMO)
if you want to play an MMO, WOW is the best on the market. the subfee isnt that bad considering just how much content it offers

It's probably the most noob-friendly and accessible MMO. However if you're looking for something with actual substance EVE is a better bet. It's pretty much on the opposite end of the spectrum though so it doesn't attract the hordes of people that WOW does.
EVE is also a massive money sink and doesnt really count because of the nature of its existence
