This is the first time I've heard anyone praise Halo 3's netcode. Seriously, H3's netcode + BR spread + no hitscan was unbelievably silly.
I haven't the slightest idea what 'netcode' means. I just know that people aren't teleporting all over the place when they're not imitating statues and bullets don't have lock-on function in Halo 3.
And the first Killzone right? Riiight?
I have zero idea how anyone can like the first Killzone. It's the most sluggish FPS ever created.
I've never played the first Killzone, so...
halo 3 is notorious for having extreme latency problems.
I haven't the slightest idea what 'latency problems' are. I just know that people aren't teleporting all over the place when they're not imitating statues and bullets don't have lock-on function in Halo 3.
bullets hardly ever registered. the host had a huge advantage, blackscreen/redbar was common, it was incredibly easy to cheat
Bullets register just fine when I play. The host thing I've seen a few times but it was never really a problem. The screen only goes black when somebody leaves. If there's any modding going on, I haven't seen any.
Do I just consistently get good matches or something? I've heard about a lot of these problems before, but I've never personally witnessed them.
there are 3 distinct possibilities. the first is that you arent cognizant of the game's problems and therefore dont notice out of pure ignorance. the second is that you have an incredibly low sample size of games so you dont have a representative base from which to judge the game. the third possibility is that you're incredibly lucky. im betting its a mix of the 3.

i respect the individual's choice to "fight for our freedoms." that takes a steel pair of nuts. but, i wont blindly worship them as heroes. they arent heroes by virtue of their profession. killing is hardly a heroic action.. if it were, that's setting the bar pretty fucking low for heroism, and diluting the meaning.
