Gone are the days when rappers would make actual disses and have actual hatred towards each other.
Nowadays you have pussies like Drake and Meek Mill exchange pretty nonchalant tweets and that's considered dissing.

yea. one day at a family reunion i was looking through a genealogy/fam history book and i found records showing that there were at least 3 slaves owned by members of my family. it's funny, everyone in the family is soooo proud of owning farmland but neglected to mention the slave ownership until i found out on my own.

I think it's hilarious how "colored" is the politically correct term again
nah colored is still bad. people of color is fine. to quote an anon,
"Euphemism treadmill. Because "colored people" was the term used by white people back in the 1900s through the 1950s when they were trying to sound just that little bit less racist: A "colored drinking fountain," for example. Whereas "people of color" was a term invented by liberals in the the 1980s when they were trying to figure out a shorter way to say "black people, but also brown people like Asians and Latinos." Superficially, the terms might seem similar. But context and origin and usage all contribute to what a word means. Call an American, "hey, cunt" and you're about to start a fight. Call an Australian "hey, cunt" and it's just another way of selling, "hello, friend." When you use a word you evoke all the other times the word has been used, that's part of how meaning is made. Say "yeah, they got a lot of coloreds down at my work" and you sound like an ancient super racist. Say "I work with a lot of people of color" and you sound like a sensitive liberal mofo."
There's literally no difference
Colored as opposed to white lumps everybody together. People of color or colored, there's no difference.
ok bud

also it's very funny to see people frothing at the mouth to keep this fuckin c list character white
would you feel the same way if they made Luke Cage white?
they're both C-list at best.
whitey doesnt need more representation
Then make some more asian and black characters. Or you could just pick and choose from the ones you already have, which is what they did with Luke Cage.
I like Finn just fine, but I honestly don't know much about Iron Fist, so I couldn't tell you if he's doing a good job in the role or not. But that's what matters to me most of all. I don't think I would have given a shit if he was Asian, but I do think it would lose elements of the story that make it interesting. I like that he's the unassuming white dork who just happens to be trained by Superchinks to be the Iron Fist. I think that's part of the charm.
Forced diversity is a bad meme, sorry.
nah it would be much more fun to make white characters POC. two birds with one stone, more representation for the disadvantaged & pissing off reactionaries. my kind of party.
bad meme

I honestly would have been fine with a gender/skin color swap if it made the fight scenes better.
This dude is awful.
there was a chinese-american actor named lewis tan who auditioned for the role but they decided to relegate him to a minor villain bit in favor of loras tyrell

But in general, executive orders are reviewed by the supreme court, and ever further, courts very rarely interfere with the legislative and executive powers to manage immigration because of the separation of those branches' power.
You're gonna have to forgive me for not accepting that as a valid source. To my knowledge, the court hasn't ruled on the actual constitutionality of his orders yet. They've just reaffirmed that there's enough evidence to suggest that they might, which justifies the temporary restriction (not invalidation) of the order. So far, literally everything I've read confirms that there are no issues with the court ruling on this.
http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-live-updates-9th-circuit-arguments-how-would-the-supreme-court-react-to-1486691392-htmlstory.html http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/444784/why-ninth-circuit-ruled-against-trumps-refugee-order http://www.vox.com/2017/2/9/14570202/trump-judges-tweet https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/09/us/politics/appeals-court-trump-travel-ban.html?_r=0
These articles discuss the case in detail and cite numerous legal experts and law professors on the topic. None of them seem to argue against this court being able to do so. I'd find extremely unlikely to assume something as fundamental as court jurisdiction would be overlooked by so many experts, lawyers and courts themselves.
NPR is credible..
i think he means something other than "i head it on NPR", like something we can actually take a look at and read
that would make much more sense
