:/

Edit: I don't get why people are assholes to people from other websites...
harlow managed to piss a lot of people off in a short period of time. he knew this would happen when he poked his head back out. he can take it.

now, im wondering if hes going to retreat, or if hes changed.

A. Not sure I can place your name, friend. Sorry.
B. The Sears Policy hasn't been active for over two years now. Your information is outdated.

Serious / Re: What should Dzhohkar Tsarnaev's punishment be?
« on: April 24, 2015, 04:07:23 PM »
Oh god..

Doesn't look like you listened to the logical perspective that our enemies such as al-Qaeda and IS will masturbate to any execution of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and use it to attract more recruits. Executing the guy would just strengthen terrorist groups.
i've already conceded that it's a better argument than the example i just gave, i'm just saying that it tends to be all i ever hear, and if what you just said wasn't a problem, there should be no qualms whatsoever with killing him

which would be a gain, in it and of itself

we lost some crazy murderous fuck who's not going to contribute anything useful at any point in his miserable future?
GOOD

now he can't drain our resources or breathe our fucking air
id rather stick him in supermax for the rest of his life. its cheaper.

this is 99% where he'd end up.

I wonder what's gonna happen to her afterwards. >___>
She's going to be held up as a martyr by the more extreme members of the third wave, a symbol of how the oppressive patriarchal system crushes victims' attempts to spread awareness. And she'll continue to be paid to speak at feminist conventions.

I like to call this the "Lena Dunham method" of attaining fame
I mean in the more general community. She's just gonna be another Monica Lewinsky I think.
nah, this isnt nearly as high-profile. most people will forget and move on. the only people who will continue to talk about it are those who associate themselves with her ideals

You wanna know why they are racist and sexist?

Because deep down, that's how we all are. It's in our nature.
Deep down, we want to fuck most things that move, but will we?
something tells me that isnt true

“If you don't get what you want, you suffer; if you get what you don't want, you suffer; even when you get exactly what you want, you still suffer because you can't hold on to it forever. Your mind is your predicament. It wants to be free of change. Free of pain, free of the obligations of life and death. But change is law and no amount of pretending will alter that reality.” - Socrates

edit: this might not be a quote from socrates. goodreads is trying to confuse me

If a women claims rape and calls the media or publically shames a man before contacting police she loses all credibility.
the best part of this is that he had alcohol in his system- in his own words "buzzed." probably enough to get a bad result on a breathalyzer. but yet somehow, no questions of his consent- if anything, according to the popular third wave rhetoric, HE was the one who was raped!

i mean, no one was raped, if we're to believe his side of the story (the side of the story with evidence), but you get my point. double standards errwhere.

Serious / Colombia U Student to Sue University for "Carry that Weight"

http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2015/04/24/columbia-university-sued-by-male-student-in-carry-that-weight-rape-case/

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2015/02/03/columbia-student-i-didn-t-rape-her.html

http://nypost.com/2015/02/08/columbia-mattress-rape-case-is-not-justice-its-shaming-without-proof/

tldr, girl and boy are fuckbuddies in college. one night, boy has a couple drinks, they fuck, try anal, she later claims that she was violently raped. she refused to work with police, claiming it was "too stressful," but instead she carried around a mattress for the rest of the semester and used the university's shitty policies to assassinate his character. she also managed to turn the debacle into a performance piece that she used as her senior thesis. she became a "feminist heroine" and the public face of rape survivors in college campuses across the country. the male student is currently suing the university.

there may be justice in this world after all. the moral of this story, ladies and gentlemen, is to let the police handle your sexual assault case, not your university.

Optimist Foshooo. It's been working for me so far.

@azumarill bro today I found a baby bird nest in a little spot on a small gazebo and my dogs were trying to get to it. Those fuckers would've knocked it down easily so I went to the store and bought some fence and spent like 30 minutes putting it up and blocking the dog off.

I am become life savior of birds
you did a good thing. i hope you get to see the little dude fly out of his nest one day.

Every interaction I've had with a Japanese person.

Every depiction of foreigners in Japanese media.

japan actually has a rich history of cultural diffusion with surrounding nation states, domestic and abroad

here is a brief overview. you might find some interesting stuff. glosses over the effects of cultural diffusion on native shinto but otherwise its a decent introduction.

the gametype is fundamentally imbalanced. all of the maps were terrible.

it can be fun, sure. but balanced? never. there's a reason neither MLG nor BTBnet used invasion in tournament ladders.
