The Flood / Re: Why Do Scrubs Cat Call?
« on: July 02, 2015, 12:57:18 PM »
ive never seen or heard anyone actually cat call aside from my father and one or two random encounters in high school
"I've never eaten ice cream. Except for every Friday."
twice/three times in 21 years does not a recurring experience make

who's the first guy?
jesse eisenberg, he's playing lex luthor for this. theyve released promotional material showing him bald like lex so i think they might be doing a cancer/chemotherapy arc for him or something, because its weird that he has hair right here

Given the trailer for this movie I think the tagline should be "no fun allowed."
which will be a lovely break from the constant barrage of "this is all completely meaningless and we're just here to make funny one liners!" of the MCU
I didn't say it should be like the MCU. It's possible to be serious and not fucking depressing.
good thing the movie hasnt come out yet and we dont know if its all grimdark or not.

] :-\ ye but its gonna be. She would've beat obama in '08 had flordia and michigan not jacked things up with their primaries. I want Sanders, but numbers are on the wall.
Sanders is too liberal to fly with everyone else and the swing voters.
I think he'll surprise people. He's drawing the largest crowds atm. Some 5k came to see him in Colorado.
But will he be able to beat the giant that is Hilary?
he's polling surprisingly well, and hillary is receiving the brunt of the right's criticism/vitriol. i dont think her candidacy is quite as monolithic as some might believe

kinda surprised no one has mentioned the Mad King.
well he's dead for almost 2 decades at the start of the series, so he isnt really in the running, otherwise we'd have TONS of potential villains from the history of planetos who were way worse than anyone in the story itself

80's hip hop was better dough
nope. close, but no. the 80s needed the 90s to fulfill hip hops destiny
The only good scene from the 90's though was british Dub.
So like, kill yourself.

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

EHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
the hip hop thing isnt arguable.
So I'm guessing you're one of those "Kanye is an idiot who is only famous because he acts out and Lil Wayne only rhymes 'nigga' with 'nigga'" types of people?
no, im actually a huge fan of kanye and i enjoy weezy too. dont make assumptions. you just cant compare our modern artists to the hip hop revolution of the 90s. theyre not untouchable on a technical or lyrical level, but theres something about the way that rap matured in the 90s that really left a massive mark on the entire genre forevermore. we do have a lot of modern artists who put out great music, but the legacy of the 90s is impeccable.

Oh, the Mountain EASILY. Joffrey seemed like someone who just enjoyed having power over others, and did fucked up shit because he could. A lot (all?) of what Ramsay did was for a purpose... be it breaking Reek down to make him his pet or sending a message to his other men/ captives when they misbehaved.
The mountain though... he's different. He lives off of performing downright evil, sadistic acts on other people. And he has strength such that literally no man can stop him. He smashed Elia Martell's baby against a wall, and then raped her with his hands still covered in its brains. If that's not the most fucked up thing you've ever heard then what is?
And Vargo Hoat - the scumbag idiot who cut off Jaime's hand and pretty much ruined his life- was caught and tortured by The Mountain. No one has more reason to hate Hoat than Jaime Lannister, but he felt sick after he heard what Clegane had done to him.
Let's not forget the whole "burning his little brother's face in a fire" thing either. Or the gang raping a thirteen year old girl (seriously, he's fucking 8ft tall.... wtf)
What did Gregor do to Hoat? Refresh my memory
"The remaining Brave Companions are killed, with the exception of Vargo, for whom the Mountain has different plans. In a mockery of Vargo's preferred way of torturing his prisoners, Ser Gregor cuts off Vargo's limbs piece by piece over an extended period of time while he has the wounds bandaged so that Vargo stays alive. Vargo first loses his hands and feet, then his arms and legs. The extremities as well as other parts of Vargo's body are then fed as "roast goat" to northern prisoners that Ser Gregor has brought to Harrenhal, including Ser Wylis Manderly, as well as to Vargo himself.

Jaime returns to King's Landing and informs Lord Tywin that Vargo's men are responsible for cutting off his sword hand. His disgusted father tells him about the Mountain's taking of Harrenhal and Vargo's fate, including that Ser Gregor is still keeping Vargo alive because he finds his slobbering amusing. Jaime thinks it's funny that Brienne's bite did Vargo in, but suspects Brienne won't share his perspective on this."

tywin lannister
I think Tywin's pretty admirable actually. Or maybe it's just Charles Dance.
charles dance did an incredible job on that show, but when it comes down to it, tywin is a ruthless, calculating, cold hearted, pragmatic man, who only cares for his family status- to a horrible extreme. he was responsible for letting gregor loose on the riverlands, the red wedding, fucking his kids mentalities beyond belief, the list goes on... he deserved to die by tyrions hand.
