Serious / Re: Election Day 2015: Key Votes to Watch (No Marijuana in Ohio)
« on: November 05, 2015, 12:44:36 PM »
Voting no for marijuana in Ohio wasn't bad, considering how they were gonna handle and monopolize it.
Monopolized marijuana is better than no marijuana tbh fam
it really isnt. id rather just continue to get my shit illegally than let it be monopolized and have the prices jacked up by some company. theyd probably add the same shit thats in cigs to make it addictive too.

im going to put in a personal recommendation for art history. i had it as part of my humanities curriculum senior year of high school and its fucking awesome.

Yeah, I'd major in History if I could. Favorite subject by far.

Going into biochem instead
Such a crying shame.

I graduated high school with merits attached to my diploma for social studies, and I then ended up going into college for business administrations.

If more people could do what they love, the world just may be a better place.
but they can. they just refuse to because they believe what others say about certain fields not yielding good careers.

hmph. going to college to buy a career now are you? how disappointing.
The point of college is to get a career though
the point of college is to learn.
No, it's not. You can learn for free at a library. The whole idea of college was to train people for careers that are more involved than simplistic ones. It's essentially the evolution of vocational training.
colleges were originally just groups of people living under a common set of rules. you're putting a modern connotation on a centuries-old practice of fellowship and intellectual pursuits. colleges have traditionally been hubs for academics to perform research and improve the overall knowledge base for all disciplines. naturally, the content offered in college level courses is more specialized than basic schooling, but that doesnt mean its necessarily intended only to snag careers.

its quite sad that people like you actually think that colleges exist only to provide people with degrees for careers.

i know, i'm ashamed

at least i have a vague interest in computer science, though
maybe learning more about it will in turn make you more passionate, and therefore make it a rewarding experience. there are certainly worse things to study in this day and age.

i skimmed a lot but it seems like he didnt talk about multiplayer at all.

weird, to ignore the flagship game mode in a 40 minute review.

He talked about it for almost half of the review, especially the REQ system.
i didnt see or hear anything relating to the maps, weapon sandbox, or gametypes.

he covered both of these
barely. not like his opinions on multiplayer would be valid anyway

still covered them
again.. like 2 minutes worth in a 40 minute review doesnt really count.

Right now I'm working on a project dealing with human geography/social systems in Southeastern Native American culture groups before 1776. I'm doing another similar paper for another class that examines those things in the context of Georgia in the New South era.

Because we start with weapons that can actually kill other Spartans now. If you're good you can take on a spartan that picked up a br with a pistol

That's all well and good but competitive matches are always going to be BR starts.
Not really. Current incarnation of the pistol is strong enough to be the default weapon for competitive.

My posture is fine but I have noticed some aches and pains in my back and neck from all the time I spend at a desk. I probably spend well over 10 hours a day sitting at a desk, either at the college or at home.

Tell me, was it worth it?
show- kinda

manga- yea def
I thought the show was alright for the most part, but went full fuckazoid at the end.

The manga's still ongoing and I'm reading it, and enjoying it. This is more than I can say of either FT or AoT, though AoT's been getting better since the end of that filler arc.
it felt really rushed. i liked the ending they picked for tatsumi and esdeath but most of the other stuff seemed like they didnt think it through very much.
Spoiler
Was there some reason I missed for why Leone didn't like... Seek treatment after the battle? That was one of the things that really bothered me.
People who are literally dying and do nothing to help themselves despite having the ability to do so get no sympathy from me.
i think that was another way of making her seem more cat-like. you know how cats will suddenly just wander off and die alone somewhere. it was a weird series of events though. i dont like the way she received her mortal wounds in the first place

On-going?

New characters?
the show diverges from the manga around mine and seryu's second fight. everything after that is original material. manga doesnt seem to have an end in sight from what i hear. i havent gotten all the way to the mine/seryu chapter in the manga yet though so i dont know if we meet anyone new
