no, i understand that, and i accounted for it. given that dark souls is a much harder game (with a longer storyline), and that you will inevitably be "[having] a life outside of playing it," and that you will also probably "[do] a lot more than the main quest... to produce a thorough review " its completely logical to presume that the dark souls review will take longer. not an unreasonable amount of time, per se, but a long time nonetheless.
it felt at first like you were questioning my abilities as a gamer™, and i was triggered for a moment

if it took you this long to finish fallout 3, which is comparatively easy (with a very short main storyline), then i expect that dark souls review to take an extremely long time for you to finish.
p. shit logic

Fallout 3 didn't honestly take me that long, considering
1. i had a life outside of playing it
2. i did a lot more than just the main quest

it's not like i was having trouble with the game, or anything--i was just trying to play enough of the game such that i'd be able to produce a thorough review, which i have done

so there's no reason to suspect that dark souls would take me an unreasonable amount of time

you dont seem to be a patient person, and learning dark souls pve from scratch requires a lot of patience and pattern recognition. if it took you this long to finish fallout 3, which is comparatively easy (with a very short main storyline), then i expect that dark souls review to take an extremely long time for you to finish.

I feel like playing skyrim ruined oblivion for me

Because playing oblivion,,evrrything looked off and weird. Probably one of the only times, if not the only time, that the visuals pf a game actively put me off playing. Even weirder because (what little I played of) morrowind was fine for me, though I didn't play it for long because it was at a friend's house.
i cant make a character that looks half decent without mods, and that turns me off a lot. havent been able to play oblivion since skyrim came out.

ok so, on one side of the road we had our football stadium and the stadium parking lot which also served as my high school's parking lot for the students. on the other side of the road was the school campus. we had a nice covered bridge that went over the road for kids to go from the parking lot to the campus.

every year the high schools in my county have "junior/senior wars" for a full week sometime in the spring, with the friday of that week being the designated ditch day for the year. junior/senior wars were prank wars basically. one day during junior/senior wars in my junior year, the bridge connecting the parking lot and campus was COVERED in cow shit, courtesy of my senior cousin and her friends. was one of the funniest and grossest things ive ever seen; definitely the best prank of the week.

we also had a story that floated around about one of the gross girls at school getting a corndog stuck in her cooter, but i think a lot of schools have stories like that. there was another story about a starburst and herpes and iiiiii dont wanna elaborate.

Al shabaab, a sect of ISIS, even use his speeches for recruitment. Trump is an idiot. No amount of tax reform would fix the things he's been saying.
I never looked into it but the general consensus on the Chans is that this isn't true.

Useless at addressing mass shootings. It is. It's not worthless otherwise, but the context of its uselessness was pretty explicit.
you cannot say that with absolute certainty.

If he wants to increase gun control via funding and background checks that's fine, but passing it off as a response to mass shootings is disingenuous.
im inclined to agree. its fluffy posturing. we need to address illegal firearms proliferation and matters of public safety in addition to pushing out (imo, fundamentally necessary) regulations for legal sales. its difficult to discern just what we should do in that regard, but i feel that congress and the obama administration need to work together to begin to address those issues. i also feel like any proposals such a collaboration would come up with should be the subject of a proper dialogue with the citizenry at large so that it can be scrutinized thoroughly.

is it fundamentally wrong to perform background checks on those who would deign to obtain a firearm?

Felons already can't buy guns and criminals don't typically but their guns through legal routes.
you dodged the question but its ok since you already gave me your answer.

Background checks are great.

i understand that these executive actions are mostly just for show so that the administration can get liberal brownie points, but lets not pretend like its absolutely worthless.

we would have had to stay in iraq for a very long time, with more than just military involvement. we would have needed to sow the land with our culture. some of our people would have needed to become permanent residents. our corporations would have needed to step in and become iraqs de facto market economy. we would have had to make iraq america jr in order to see any real lasting effects, and something tells me that we would have seen a fair share of ideological and violent rebellion along the way. would it have been worse than what we see now? hard to say. america cant just play world police if we want people to play by our rules.. we have to forcibly colonize the middle east in this scenario, by my estimation.

Meh... the background check broadening isn't anything bad.
That ATF budget increase is literally nothing... it'll put paper in their printer for six months.
I guess I can understand shutting out trusts from the NFA stuff. I don't see why we need to though, considering that maybe what, four NFA firearms have been used in criminal activity in the past 50 years...
I really fucking hate this biotagged iGun GUN OF THE FUTURE ULTRA SAFE ONLY YOU CAN USE IT smartgun™ technology push though. Fucking retarded.
im inclined to agree. seems like this is mostly a fluff action so that obama can claim that at least he tried to do something before his term ended. id like to hear the governments plan to crack down on illegal firearms proliferation but something tells me theyre not going to come up with one anytime soon. its easy to understand why they cant, but still..

Because I have a suspicion the answer is "none", so this is really just useless legislation.
i feel like you shouldnt call it useless based on a gut feeling. if it prevents legal firearms sales to criminals, then it serves its intended purpose, even though it wont solve all of our public violence problems overnight. we'll have to find different ways to hurt black market sales, assuredly, but thats an extremely difficult task- we shouldnt just sit idly by and refuse to regulate legal gun sales because many crimes are committed by guns sold/obtained illegally. seems to me that legal firearms proliferation should be something that's regulated.

is it fundamentally wrong to perform background checks on those who would deign to obtain a firearm?
