Any of you guys have that one move that you absolutely hate because you have a complex about it? Like, you know it isn’t particularly good but you just hate seeing it work?
Marth Fsmash (Melee) is mine. One moment you’re dash dancing happily out of range, next second you get Tippered Di’ing away and die at 30%. It’s an absolute black hole of a move and I swear it’s unpunishable due to spacing (Nair oos doesn’t reach and wd oos loses to follow up Fsmash due to Marth mashing his face on the C-Stick) I appreciate Marth for his matchup against Spacies and intricate neutral game. Mango, PPU, PPMD and M2K all have their own styles of really satisfying to watch Marth play. Getting rewarded at a local for just spamming the C-stick and thinking you’re good because the other player is bad and always jumps just makes me hate you and wanna camp Needles and the ledge so they hate playing the match as much as I do. 971

I could see the paint roller being an Fsmash or side special tbh. I wonder if they’ll give the paint a lingering aoe. That would be cool but has potential to be super broken

Gaming / Re: Halo Mega Thread« on: March 23, 2018, 11:00:36 PM »
Halo 4 was bad. Aesthetically it was a step backwards from Reach, the Story direction was ass (the storytelling itself was quite immersive tho), Prometheans were even more boring and flowcharty to fight than Brutes and the MP was inexcusable. The difficulty scaling was almost on par with Halo 2 in how unfair it was/unfun it was to combat (note: this doesn’t make it as difficult to complete) the cheese. Enemies could literally aim vehicle weapons in a way human players simply can’t do, even with TAS.
I love dying in (legendary campaign) a Ghost-Banshee shootout where the enemy Ghost just drives directly under you (where it’s impossible to aim) and shoots directly up, or the Banshee flies directly above you and bombards you at an angle your ghost can’t aim. Why do developers do this. 980

no you fool that’s what an 8.0 twin turbo V10 viper is forthe point is they’re obsessed with “muh displacement” when RBs make up for their torque curves with RPM. 982

I’m gonna rebuild my engine soon. Spool forged kit built for drag racing. Supposedly can handle 1,500 hp (grout filled block obvs) and 10k rpm. It’s primarily a street engine so I’m looking at the 400hp mark for the time being but want to take it further. Ideally 700hp but I want a Dry simp kit that doesn’t replace the A/C pulley so until I find a crank driven (or find a good aftermarket pump drive that won’t grenade at high revs/power) I’ll keep it at or below 500.
Any RB that’s not a 30 or an N1 has overheating issues in race engines beyond 500 whp that causes cylinder 6 to run lean and eventually disintegrate the Piston. But being a street car I think I can get away with just short bursts. Think I can get away with it without shortening the lifespan of the engine to less than, say, 2 years? By then I’ll either save up for an N1 with a 2.8 stroker kit or put it back to stock boost/cams and keep it as a daily. Main reason being there’s a few Supercharged LSA Commodores getting around my town talking like their car is the tits and I wanna embarrass them in an alleged ricebox. I’ll be getting that power to the ground and stopping it with a GTR 6 speed converted to rwd or a V161 adapted to fit the RB, Nismo LMGT4 wheels, Brembo Brakes, coilovers that can keep it flat during those heavy weight transfers, upgraded driveshafts and a straight cut final drive. A 10k rpm Rb25det NEO would sound tasty. 989

Aight so Aus is officially implementing the NTSC version. Whilst this gives Fox a few buffs that allow him to kill earlier over PAL, my main boi Sheik gets the core of her gameplay back - her Down throw. Reaction tech chasing on Spacies becomes much easier/guaranteed (lmao take that cunts) and she can chain grab half the cast to some pretty meaty % if not death. Also more kill options = Yas. I’ll still probs bitch about how unfair Spacies are tho.
Ganon gets a buff to Stomp (can kill earlier off the top but reduces combo potential) and Fair which is sick too. Sheik gets slept on a lot but Plup knows how to get results without the lame gameplay she gets a bad rep for (I.e: Captain Jack, Mew2king, etc.). I’d love to put more work into her and use that style of play, but it doesn’t come naturally to me and I find myself going on the defensive a lot under pressure. It’s a bad habit to get into and I think I benefit more from a more aggressive neutral against rushdown Marths/Foxes/Falcos. Against Doc I could do either and as long as I’m controlling the pace it’s a p clear win and Peach seems to have a bit of a hard time too. Falcon is a fun matchup but it isn’t as easy as you’d think even at a level as low as mine, and simple mistakes can lead to huge punishes. Defensively I want to work a lot on my DI/SDI on top of basic control, because I feel like it would solve a lot of the problems I face against similar level players. |
